I know!! Awesome!!


It is a beautiful, sunny 76 degrees here today, with no humidity. Kind of reminds me of WDW in November!

We've had rain or drizzles all day. It has kept down on the heat though, so I'm not complaining.

I am sure this is a little backwards, but when we needed to upgrade to a moderate because of our fourth baby, I was bummed we couldn't stay at a value. The deluxe's seem nice and all but I like the whimsy in the values. Staying with buzz lightyear was magical for my kiddos. A new orleans themed resort, not as much (although DH loved it as he is a saints fan and we haven't ever been to new orleans. Alas, I digress). I also didn't enjoy the free dining as much as I thought I would because of all the meal time ressies. DH and I both thought it made visiting the parks more stressful.

So in my opinion, going to a value with no ADRs is absolutely great!

After talking with roommate we added another ADR to our trip -

Yachtsman Steakhouse!

Got an 8pm ADR for Nov 14. This is now out big Happy Birthday x2 Happy First Trip to WDW dinner.

Excited to try here. Thankfully we're on DxDP and have the meal credits to spare!

if you see in my ticker besides counting down when we are going this yr...I will actually make my next DVC ressie before we leave for our trip next fall...

I also have a solo trip w/ a Dis pal in the works for 2012 and then I know we'll be back the whole family in 2013 w/ parents...plus I want to take the twins in 2015 for their 16th b-day (if they are willing )

as as resorts I will have stayed in all levels after this trip...

off site, value once, deluxe once and mod 4 times

Resort choice depends on many factors--Are we traveling with others and need to compromise on where they might want to stay, going commando and only need a place to sleep (values) or having a more relaxing, more resort type vacation? I can honestly say that I've found every resort to be enjoyable to stay at. Some we have had better CM's at check in and some have had better housekeeping and I like some food courts better but it's all FUN!!!!

Count me in on the futuretripplanningitis!! I have already gone over SO MANY scenarios for 2011. Mainly because I'm not sure what we will do being that DS11 will be in 7th grade by then.

And yes, the resort dilemma. I have debated staying at a Value too. . . If we did it we would get 2 connecting rooms. We could never all squeeze into one value room for a week. We are used to the moderates and are going deluxe this time, so it would be very different staying at a value. But I wouldn't say we'd never give it a try!

CR and Poly only until I was 16 and my mom says we even stayed at the Disney Inn (SoG now) once. But I don't remember staying there. We also sometimes stayed at our Condo at Daytona Beach and drove over a few times.

When I was 17, I went with DH (df then), his dad and his little sister. We stayed at All Star Sports.

Starting in 1998, we stayed only at Shades of Green. Missing a few years here and there thanks to the Army.

Last year, we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge.

This year, I will add the Yacht Club to my list!

Our goal is to stay at every resort atleast once as a family. We think that would be kinda neat to do.

There are talks for a possible Oct or Nov 2012 trip right now for another birthday trip

Happy 4th of July weekend! We started out with a bike parade this morning where the kids decorate their bikes and ride around, it was fun. And my DS6 took 2nd place overall for his decorations!
Jessica- We never do many table service meals or ADR's because we kind of like to wing it and not have to be anywhere specific at any time. We stayed at the values the first 2 times we went and I didn't think it was bad, my son loved it! If it was a choice between a value or not going, definitely value!

Good morning November friends!

Wow those are some impressive resort lists!!

Wow I have missed a lot!! Been on vacation in South Dakota for 10 days, than we celebrated our anniversary on the 2nd and then began 4th of July festivities.

We had to change our dates in Nov. to 24-30 to get better air fares with SW. So that meant adding Kona Grill to our ADR's and staying one more day...darn!!!

Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th of July. Our fireworks show was fast and spectacular do to rain coming in. Finished off the festivities with yummy ice cream treats from Sonic!!!
