Good morning Wendy and Shawna

Kind of quiet in here this morning. Everyone must be out buying tiny toiletries for their trip!! :rotfl:

Ha!!!:lmao::rotfl: I was actually thinking about it at Wal Mart yesterday!! I had to get toothpaste and was thinking..'there is just enough in the tubes at home to put in the Disney box'...geez....we are slightly obsessed, are we not?!!

I was in Target this morning before work and found the cutest vintage Mickey Mouse notebooks. They would fit nicely in a park bag. :thumbsup2They were in the stationary/school supply section. They had 3 designs to choose from. I couldn't decide which one I liked the best so I bought one of each!  I think I'm going to use one to take notes on our trip and save the other two for the girls. Debating on whether to give them to them for the trip or save them as stocking stuffers.

I just bought 2 of them last week! I am going to make the kids autograph/journal books out of them...I found a neat thread about it...I think I put the link on here a few pages back...anyway, you put scrapping paper in and write park plans, or make pockets for paperwork, or leave them blank for autographs and photos!! Reeeeaaallly cute!

Good Morning Everyone !

I have a somewhat stupid question but since we are sorta on the subject of packing , Is is acceptable to wear white in November at WDW? I keep thinking of the old saying about no white after Labor Day and I am just wondering now since the skirt I was planning on taking is white and one of the new pairs of shorts I picked up is white

I have visited in Oct, Jan and I know I wore white in March last year but Nov just seems like a no no for white, I guess since I come from a Northern State:confused3

Hi guys,

I'm so glad that this thread is always at the top of this board! I never have to search for it. I hope you all have been well.

I've been so busy getting in all of the kids appointments before school starts. Last count we had 11 appointments!

DD13 is anxiously awaiting getting her braces off tomorrow. I hope it happens or she will go into a deep depression. With ortho there is no guarantee. She said, "I simply can't start 8th grade with these braces!":rotfl:

BTW: I speak boy as well.:rotfl2: Mission Space made me feel queasy the rest of the afternoon. I never get motion sickness. Not worth it ever again.

Ooohhh those sound cute! :goodvibes I was just in Target last weekend and didn't see any. Guess I'll just have to go back!

Just slightly. :lmao::rotfl2:

I wore a white shirt last November. I have a pair of light blue shorts and it is really the only thing that goes well with them. I didn't give it much thought since we were in Florida!! I didn't notice any strange looks, so I guess it was okay. :confused3:rotfl:

Good luck to your DD tomorrow! :wizard: My DS11 is giving me a heck of a time about getting his braces. Wants nothing to do with it. :sad2:

I have done Misson: Space Green a few times now, but have yet to go on Orange. I don't do well in enclosed areas either. But I can manage to keep it together until the ride starts. Once it starts, I am good. But I am worried with how intense the orange side is, that I wouldn't be able to keep it together. I think I mentioned before on this thread (or maybe I didn't?) that DD1 and I got stuck in M:S. They shut the door and then the screen went to some sort of loading screen. We were in there for 15 min before the ride started. SOOOO NOT OKAY! There was a man and his very little boy in there with us. So I had to make myself get a grip and not to freak out the little boy. I think that was the first time ever I have had one of my kids telling me not to be scared at that it would be alright. She even held my hand when the tears came! And then when we got off, she made fun of me! LOL

You know what else gets me... Aladdins Magic Carpets. Not when you ride it normal or even when you move it up and down. Its when someone makes the carpet rock or as I said, wobble. Oh MY! Everyone knows not to rock the carpet with me now!

We have started shopping for our trip now. While we have been out school shopping, we have been getting summer clothes that are on sale. The cooler weather clothes we will be taking with us will be their school clothes. This year I have a feeling I am not going to be so on top of it when it comes to packing. The next few months are always so busy. Soccer starts again... and my life ends. LOL

It stays so hot here in Florida it is really hard to apply that old rule, wear all the white you would like and I am sure noone will give it a second thought! ;)

That old rule does not apply in Florida ever!! My late mother:littleangel: said so!

We'll never forget the old mean wearing white patent leather shoes with their leisure suits..... (back in the 70's). My dad would have to break out his white shoes for our Florida trips. :rotfl2:

That rule is for North of the Mason Dixon Line... I think it would be hard pressed for VA and NC... but definitely not in Florida. Wear white, I do.

Just hoping on to say today is my 99 day mark!!!

And in 99 days from this exact moment we'll be in the air! Been trying to prepare our First Timer since this will also be her plane trip as well as first WDW trip

Thanks for the replys about wearing white in Nov, now I feel better since you guys all say it is ok :thumbsup2

Oh good news!! Good news!!! I haveto share with y'all!!!!! as you all know, I have been checking Continental multiple times a day....well at 7:30 it was still at $291 RT....we usually only see them drop down to $220-230 or so from Houston to Orlando...well, I just checked and it's at $198!!!!! Of course,..that's the 7:30 a.m., or 4 and 7 o'clock p.m. flights. Dh said..yeah-we can do 7:30. He is going to call as soon as he gets back to his office this afternoon!!!! Now...the only glitch will be if they let us use it due to our rewards points. They have always in the past...so hopefully there is not a minimal $$ amount...if so, we will use even less points than what we thought!!! and ....all my Nov friends can breath a sigh of relief that our tickets will be secure!!!!! WOOO HOOOO!! I will let you know, as soon as I know!!!LOL
The next price up was $218 for a 9 o'clock flight...which that was the one I was planning to take....so, either way, it's good!!! I was so thankful  that I happened to go to the website!!!:cheer2:

My mother always preached, "no white shoes before Easter and you have to put them away after Labor Day." I know that rule has gone out the window. She also got upset when I refused to take shorthand in HS. She was sure that I would need it one day!:rotfl2:

Hey wait a minute!!:rolleyes2 I took shorthand in high school and use it to this day. DH is always :sad2: because he can't read my little notes. I actually used it in college to take notes in class. I still use it.

The no white after labor day and before memorial day (Easter in the south) still applies EXCEPT to Florida. In fact, I'm pretty sure that men getting off planes in Miami are required to be wearing shiny white slip on shoes!!! :rotfl2: At least if they're going to Century Village!! :lmao:

Fantastic , it definately payed to wait, nice chunk of change saved!

Hey all! Been a while. Everyone's plans seem to be coming around really well. We are in the midst of making some changes because my in-laws and SIL and kids want to come down some of the time. They took an entire week of back and forth (yes, we're going/ no, we're not) and making me crazy in the meantime. They have now booked for the 23rd-27th, so now I have some changes to make.
I was super excited that the Disney store got in sweatshirts for $10 this weekend so I was able to cross that off my to-puchase list!
