I don't know who this man is, or where he's been the past 10 years, but we got a pin code a couple weeks ago that allows us to get free dining on an off week. He took the code and booked us into AKL (where he swore he'd never stay, because it's too far away from everything) in a club level room, and upgraded dining to the deluxe plan! Then, he spent 3 hours at the computer yesterday morning, got us MVMCP for our anniversary on the 11th, and booked all of our ADR's.

I honestly don't know who this man is...he who hates Epcot has agreed to tour the world showcase to "sample drinks" after our dinner at the Brown Derby. There's not much I need to mess with here! I feel like we've been sprinkled with Pixie Dust!

vllygrrl, fabulous! Sounds as if you have trained him up right and are reaping the rewards.

I know you will all have a great time and then he will want to go back again and who knows what he will come up with next, Illuminations Cruise or maybe a real Disney Cruise to go with your land trip? One can only guess where this obsession will lead.

I KNOW! All these years of obsessive planning, only to be outdone by DH? I'm going to try to get the Sunrise Safari on our anniversary, just to contribute something

Membership is $21.95, but I've found the info there well worth it. I'll never forget the family trip we did a couple years ago, when 16 of us entered the MK, and had ridden everything in the park by 1pm

QOTD: What are your plans thus far for your Nov trip?

November 10th - Arrival Day!
We should landing around 2pm, so hopefully by 4 we'll be setteled and ready to start this vacation!! No parks are planned for this day, just exploring our hotel and some of the monorail hotels. We're having our first meal at Grand Floridian Cafe

November 11th - AK/MVMCP
Possible Rope Drop - Birthday Breakfast at Tusker House for Male Roommate since his actually birthday is the 6th. Then spending the day in Animal Kingdom with Lunch at Yak and Yeti. Depending on how long we spend in AK it's either straight to MK or maybe take the bus to AKL and explore there and grab some CS food. If we go right to MK we'll grab some CS somewhere then let our first MVMCP every begin!

November 12th - Epcot and My Birthday
I love the Epcot! How cool is Epcot and Food and Wine festival happening today . Breakfast will either be at PoP before we go or in Epcot at Sunshine Seasons. Then just doing what come naturally, start my mission to drink around the world and Dinner at Le Cellier

November 13th - Epic Magic Kingdom Day of Epicness!
Waking up for Rope Drop the b-lining for the bakery! The we attack MK as much as we can... Dinner at 'Ohana for a bit of a break from the park. I've noted this is a special first time trip for dinner to make it a little bit more special. First thing we're doing after getting in the park after dinner is Haunted Mansion (long story involving drink out of a pineapple and Supernatural). We're going to try to stay as much as we can into the evening EMH

November 14th - Disney Hollywood Studios
This is more of a laid back day for us... Only things planned are Lunch at 50s Prime Time Cafe, Fantastic and Dinner at Yachtsman.

November 15th - All over?
Only plans Breakfast at Kona Cafe, Lunch at Rose and Crown and hopefully finish drinking around the world.

November 16th - Back to NJ
Laid back morning is all... last minute hotel photos and shopping...

My mom who is going with us in November asked me, if you can you a Disney Gift card for the CS restaurants. I told her that I thought so, but I wasn't sure. We have the BDP, which we use for breakfast and dinner.

If we can save $$ now for any lunches, it would be better on our KTTW card. Any thoughts??

Hi all - late joiner here! DH just turned our 10th anniversary cruise into a 10th anniversary Disney trip deluxe! I dare not turn my husband loose as he would pick the most expensive of everything, pick one attraction in each park each day, probably at the same time, make ADR's at restaurants he does not even like and we would go from being debt free to debt ridden in no time flat. Of course that all depends on him being able to dial the phone to call to make the arrangements. He mostly stands around looking helpless until some kind woman (usually me) does it for him.

I did the on line check in last year and had a horrible room assignment. Not sure if that is the reason though. I am doing it the old fashioned way this time in hopes of getting a sympathetic CM who can give me something close, no view necessary.

Looks like I am not going to be lonely on this trip. I am so looking forward to meeting at least some of you face to face. I take pictures to add to my collection. Please say 'cheese'.

ok.. UG is Unofficial Guide... what is TGM (Tour Guide Mike?) and Isn't Touring Plans the same things as UG?



We have a Fantasmic Dinner package for Mama Melrose on Tuesday the 23rd, then after the show, we drive to Florida Tech and pick up my son from school and bring him back to the resort. We last did Fantasmic with the buffet dinner at Hollywood & Vine. My youngest DD ate a rice krispie treat and a piece of bread! Never again will I pay $17.99 for her til she actually will eat! whenever that will be No Fantasmic for us (at least planned) on our trip next week.... but they've added some 10:30pm Fantasmics a couple days, so maybe.... if its not too crowded... and I am not too tired

I am RIGHT there beside you NOT riding on half the rides! I do not like heights or drops. I will not EVER try Rock N Rollercoaster, ToT, Expedition Everest.... This is how I did Soarin' .. I first feel more secure with the child strap on between my legs. Then I keep telling myself that its not real.. and if I close my eyes, it goes away.. It took me months to get ready to ride Splash Mountain... I went on Youtube and watched videos of the ride over and over so I could anticipate when the big drop is. Then I found that my biggest problem is seeing the log come out of the cave and point slightly up over the top edge... so when I got there, I closed my eyes. That worked ok.. and I did it! I have studied space mountain from the inside when it is closed...(going through on the WEDway Peoplemover)but haven't tried it yet... afterall the parks only been open for 39 years! Test Track by the way, has no height or drops. It goes through all these "testing" trials, like heat, bumps etc.. then at the end of the ride it goes outside on a track and starts to speed up and go faster and faster (there is a speed thing telling you how fast it goes)... when it gets to 60mph it slows down quickly. The only thing that makes it seem faster than it is is that its open. Not closed like a real car (unless you have a convertible). It was fun, but I have very curly hair so for me, next time, I am SO bringing a scarf! I don't want to end up looking like Rosanne Rosannadanna!

I feel the same way about RNRC and EE, last year I was still a smoker so I just wandered off to find the DSA while the others rode the rides not sure what I will do this time maybe find something to eat???

I had my eyes closed the whole time on Soarin' I think I peeked once or twice but that was it

I have stood and watched Test Track while I waited for the others and I am just not brave enough to venture on it

POTC, Haunted Mansion, The Malstrom etc are more my speed

Mon Nov 8th -We fly in should be at AKL by 11am(fingers crossed room will be ready but I doubt it) so quick lunch at Mara's the check out the gift shop and resort, go over to Kidani and check it out since it was not built the last time I was at AKL
Once room is ready go up and chill waiting for luggage and groceries from garden grocer while DH naps
Head over to MK for MVMCP and dinner at LTT

Tues Nov 9th -Breakfast at Boma's
Head over to Epcot WS 1:30 lunch at Le Celler
Wander the F&W Festival and stores
Catch Hanson and Illuminations

Wed Nov 10th - Breakfast at Boma's
Head over to Epcot FW
Lunch 1:45 Biergarten
Wander F&W
Catch Rick Springfield
Dinner Rose and Crown 7:45? (might have to cancel if no one
is hungry)
Illuminations

Thurs Nov 11th -Breakfast at Boma's

Found out back in 2008 my mom was afraid of heights but she really wanted to do Soarin'... she did her research and as long as we weren't in row 1 she's be okay since in rows 2 & 3 you can see the feel from the rows above you.

We did learn back when my dad and aunt tricked her to go on Big Thunder Rail Road Mountain (I was 9 and absolve myself of any responsibility) my mom and roller-coasters do not mix well at all

I rode Soarin' in 2005 and never again My fear of heights got the better of me on that one.

If there were more people like me the lines at WDW would be a whole lot shorter

When you rode Soarin', where did you set? I have rode it alot, but this last trip we got B1. They say it is the best seat so I was thrilled. Soarin' is one of my favorite rides. But let me tell you what, I did NOT like B1 at all! DH said he thought I was going to rip the hand grip off I was holding on to it tight. I felt like I was constantly falling out. I couldn't figure out why after riding it so many times that I had such a issue. Later that night I went back on it. I knew it had to be a fluke. This time I was in C3. I was perfectly fine. I realized what had happened. I have vertigo. I had no depth perception when I was in B1. I was at the very top, dead center. When I am in rows 2 or 3 and in sections A or C, I am fine. The peoples feet hanging down and being able to see the wall makes all the difference!

Anyways, my point being... maybe if you try a different seat, it might help?

But, I am not going to complain about the lines being a bit shorter either!

Px4 we are going basically the same days...and our Thanksgiving Day looks almost just like yours...just different breakfast ADR

I originally had Chef Mickeys booked for breakfast but switched to Cape May when we moved to the Yacht Club! Still looks like we will be crossing paths. No doubt atleast at WCC. Wonder if we will notice each other?

Too funny cause I love the tea cups but have not been on them since my youngest was 11 or 12 I feel silly going on them without a kid

You should totally go on the tea cups!! It's Disney, no one will care if you don't have a kid with you! Hey, better yet - you can take my kids on since I won't go on with them!!

My DS tricked me to get onto Space Mt telling me it was not that bad, when the ride was over my legs were so wobbly the attendent came over and took my elbow and said Maam you alright while my DS thought it was funny I was so embrassed
