Found out back in 2008 my mom was afraid of heights but she really wanted to do Soarin'... she did her research and as long as we weren't in row 1 she's be okay since in rows 2 & 3 you can see the feel from the rows above you.
We did learn back when my dad and aunt tricked her to go on Big Thunder Rail Road Mountain (I was 9 and absolve myself of any responsibility) my mom and roller-coasters do not mix well at all![]()
When you rode Soarin', where did you set? I have rode it alot, but this last trip we got B1. They say it is the best seat so I was thrilled. Soarin' is one of my favorite rides. But let me tell you what, I did NOT like B1 at all! DH said he thought I was going to rip the hand grip off I was holding on to it tight. I felt like I was constantly falling out. I couldn't figure out why after riding it so many times that I had such a issue. Later that night I went back on it. I knew it had to be a fluke. This time I was in C3. I was perfectly fine. I realized what had happened. I have vertigo. I had no depth perception when I was in B1. I was at the very top, dead center. When I am in rows 2 or 3 and in sections A or C, I am fine. The peoples feet hanging down and being able to see the wall makes all the difference!
Anyways, my point being... maybe if you try a different seat, it might help?
But, I am not going to complain about the lines being a bit shorter either!
I originally had Chef Mickeys booked for breakfast but switched to Cape May when we moved to the Yacht Club! Still looks like we will be crossing paths. No doubt atleast at WCC. Wonder if we will notice each other?
Anyone remember the Gondola Ride? We rode that the first time we went to Disney in '89, I wish I knew what happened to the video of that day since I was totally petrified, sure I was going to plunge to my death at any moment
Needless to say I have never gone sking and never will![]()
Those of us who will not ride certain rides are very popular folks. Those that travel with us get to use our FP to ride their favorite rides more than once in a row and we get to sit and visit with each other.

Ahhh, its so nice to be back.:surfweb We were camping over a week and without cell service! We were real troopers, my husband and I, without our links to the universe. Now that we're back in the real world, Im very happy to inhale the magic that is the November Countdown Thread (remember my daily scope of experiences revolves around a two year old) and get back into Dis planning mode. Really tried to catch up on all the posts, but a week and a half of posts just seems alittle too daunting. Cant wait to catch up with what you all have been up too.

lol...I just had a dream last night that we were at Disney and I forgot everything! No autograph book for my daughter, no camera, no plans! We were just wandering around not knowing where to start! It was like a nightmare!
I guess that is my cue, now that summer vacation trips are over I need to get back to my Disney planning!
Hi all - late joiner here! DH just turned our 10th anniversary cruise into a 10th anniversary Disney trip deluxe! I don't know who this man is, or where he's been the past 10 years, but we got a pin code a couple weeks ago that allows us to get free dining on an off week. He took the code and booked us into AKL (where he swore he'd never stay, because it's too far away from everything
) in a club level room, and upgraded dining to the deluxe plan!
Then, he spent 3 hours at the computer yesterday morning, got us MVMCP for our anniversary on the 11th, and booked all of our ADR's...here's what he came up with:
11/7 - Brown Derby
11/8 - Ohana breakfast, Flying Fish dinner
11/9 - Boma breakfast, Yachtsman steakhouse dinner
11/10 - Yak & Yeti early lunch, Artist Point dinner
11/11 - Anniversary! Akershus breakfast, Narcoossee's dinner, MVMCP
11/12 - Marrakesh lunch, California Grill late dinner
11/13 - Tusker House lunch, Jiko dinner
11/14 - Boma breakfast
I honestly don't know who this man is...he who hates Epcot has agreed to tour the world showcase to "sample drinks" after our dinner at the Brown Derby. There's not much I need to mess with here!I feel like we've been sprinkled with Pixie Dust!
LOVE tour guide Mike. I used him in June for our mini 2 day trip and the longest we waited was only one time for 30 minutes for soaring.. everything else we walked on AND (I feel sick even saying this).. came home with fast passes!!!Do you know what website is TourGuideMike? Is he free? I'd like to compare too.
did I mention I'm leaving in less than a week... arriving the 11th!! OMG.. I can do online check-in.... never tried that...![]()

Oh - and no Mission Space for me!!Didn't know it until I went on it, but apparently I don't do well in confined spaces.
Yuck!
So that's it, the only 2 things I won't/can't ride at WDW - Tea Cups and Mission Space!
So, when are you gonna be there? I'll meet you by the Tea Cup Ride!!!That's a favorite of mine. I also loved Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, but poor me, that favorite is gone! My DS18 will ride ToT and EE, RnR all day, but he totally can't do Tea Cups!
I will do Dumbo and Alladin, but the Rocket ship ride, which is EXACTLY the same, but up much higher, I haven't been brave enough to try. I went up there with DH and DD8 and stood on the side and got lots of pictures. I've been thinking of the primeval whirl in Dinoland! It looks like the drops are really pretty mild. I think the shtick on this ride is the spinning. I'm looking forward to trying it, but DD8 is too short to ride, so I may have to wait til November and ride with my sister. I love the Dinosaur ride (Project Extinction?), but its dark so DD8 is afraid. She is also afraid of "pretend ghosts" so she won't go in Haunted Mansion again. She didn't rule out real ghosts.. just pretend.
I remember that ski lift ride! I went on it as a child. I probably was terrified. But oddly enough, when I was younger, I was so much LESS afraid of heights. We had a condo on the 18th floor of a building and I would be all hanging over the balcony railing waving to people!! I used to do the log flume ride at Kings Dominion (similar to splash mountain) over and over when I was in high school. I have no idea what's with me now!![]()
DisneyBoundinDec, in other words you find us to be verbose?

Too bad you will be there after me or I would take you up on the tea cup offer![]()
Awww... that's too bad!!
And Mission Space.. yeah.. the bench outside that ride is kinda nice... don't you think?![]()
Oh I forgot about Mission Space, I did not like that one at all of course I rode it back before there was the option of two sides, but still not gonna risk it again either![]()
Momof2Disneyboys, you guys go and ride and I will sit and visit with your 8 year old boy and we will have a good time. I speak boy.![]()

ETA: Booo!Just noticed on the WDW Park Hours page that the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh will be closed for refurbishment during our stay. Closure is listed as Monday 10/25 through Sunday 11/14, so fingers crossed they finish a couple days early, and we can catch it Saturday morning before we go home.
