Hey everyone!

We bought a playtex insulator sippy cup and the gerber equivalent (also insulated with a hard plastic top) and we're testing both out for leaking, etc. DH wanted to get the Gerber one because it has pirates on it and he liked that design better than the Little Einsteins on the playtex cup. :rotfl: I told him that the design isn't as important as the no-leaking thing, but he told me that his boy needed a pirate cup. What a nut!

Owen caught another cold and passed it on to me and DH. Lovely. We have a retreat this next weekend at a camp in the Santa Cruz mountains, so I'm hoping we're all over the worst of the cold by then. The cabins are heated, but if it's rainy we'll be miserable. Blech! And I'm leading a big chunk of the retreat, so it's not like we can skip it if we're all sick.

oops...bugaboo woke up early from his nap. Bummer...I was hoping to get a shower in before he got up! Oh well. Stinky mommy it is! ;)

Heeey ladies. I'm watching "Baby Mama." Oh, is it funny.

I took V to my mom's house last night to avoid the snow and ice this morning, and now she's kind of stuck there- I don't want to drive all the way there because it's STILL snowing and sleeting, and I don't want to drag her out if I don't absolutely have to. :( So, hopefully the roads will be better tomorrow- because I miss my baby big time!

It is crazy how quiet the house is without her running around, playing, giggling.

Oh, I have to stop before I cry. I think I'm hormonal or something today.

DMickey- fingers crossed for ya!

I started doing www.flylady.net - I hope she can help me get my house and life organized and decluttered. Goodness knows I can use all the help I can get! :)

Hi ladies! So here are a couple of pics from the wedding....

********************************************************

Becky - Baby Mama is a funny movie! Enjoy the quiet house....your little cutie-pie will be back before you know it!!!

DMickey - Good luck with this cycle!! I will be thinking of you!!!

Jenny - Glad to hear the party went well and that Noah liked his cupcake (sans frosting!). Can't wait to see pics!

*********************************************************

Ok - so what are the sippy cups that don't leak? We have several Playtex ones, but they all seem to leak!! This morning Brady was literally "splashing" in the milk on the bottom of the pack-n-play. Nice.

The Hasbro casting call was CRAZY today. We were there for about 1 1/2 hours, and about 200 kids came through during that time. The call was for 7 hours today....so that means tons of kids! Brady was ok...not great. He was so cute and acting so well, waiting his turn to be measured, weighed, and then photographed. He was sitting/playing nicely with this little blue chair...but when they called him to take his picture, he flipped-out and only wanted the blue chair. :rolleyes2 They only take about 2-3 pics per kid, so his pics were of him pointing to the chair and whining/crying. No smiles. Grrrrr.....just makes me so mad because he looked so cute and is such a cute kid...but I know they didn't get good shots (which is the only thing the Hasbro people will see). O well....it's all for fun anyway (and maybe some college money if we book something!).

Here are a couple party pics.

Lots of people were taking photos so I hope to collect them all soon to have the best ones to choose from for scrapping.

Great pics you guys! You all look so great, and the boys are so cute!

Kelly, sometime when I was about Brady's age I was photographed for a diaper ad that ran in magazines on the East Coast. My mom said I did great for that session, but every other modeling job she tried to get for me I was a complete pill. My dad always teased me that I ruined my own career as a superstar. :lmao: I'm just bummed that we don't have a copy of the ad anymore. Apparently I was a darn cute kid in my diaper pretending to have a tea party. ;)

Kelly - You look beautiful!! I am sorry he wasn't his cheerful self for the casting call. How did you get started in that? My mom has been bugging be from the time Alex was born to get him involved but I just didn't know how to start. I don't know if it's too late but he's still pretty darn cute!!

Jenny - The party pictures are great!! I think that's great that he wasn't a huge fan of the frosting. Getting him started off right now liking sugar!! Alexander LOVES frosting but luckily he only gets cake or cupcakes once in a blue moon.

Bethany - I am sorry you guys feel crappy. Get a few good days of rest in and hopefully you'll be fine for the weekend.

Thanks for the well wishes this month. We shall see ... I am optimistic but when are you not in this process!

Kelly- you looked great in that dress. I think all brides should have lovely strapless black dresses. If I had to do it over, I would let my girls each pick a black dress- whatever they wanted. They just look so chic. And too bad about Brady being a pill. It's like they plan to act up on such occasions.

Jenny- great pictures! Vaylie loves icing, but I usually scrape the majority off before I give her cake. I'm sure she'll catch on to my tricks before long. ;)

I just planned my next week's worth of meals! :yay: So, now I have to finish my list and head out to go get my baby girl!! My mom let her call me last night to tell me "night night" and she also told me "Illinois" and "Miss-peepee" :lmao: (My mom has a kid book with all the states and they were practicing, and that's how Vaylie is saying Mississippi  ). She's hilarious.

I got another part of my kitchen organized. Still haven't touched the "catch-all" aka: the kitchen table. But, I'm trying to do a little bit at a time, and purge stuff as I go. If I toss it in the trash it can't come back and haunt me (or my table or closet).

Thanks ladies about the pics! :goodvibes

DMickey - When my brothers and I were young, we did a lot of child modeling. We did mostly print ads and flyers for various companies, some toy boxes, and a few commercials and tv-shows. My brother was on the show Spencer for Hire a bunch of times, which was cool. So, I contacted our agent, and she is still in the business and took-on Brady! It's nice because we know her and she is legit. Don't go with anyone that wants a large sum of money up front - or tells you that you need to spend a lot of money on headshots, etc... Some agencies are pretty sketchy!

Kelly - you look great in the wedding pics! That's too bad Brady's casting didn't go well - hopefully it will go better next time! That can be a really good way to make some serious $$ for college! :thumbsup2

Becky - I'll have to see if Sesame Street is coming out my way anytime soon, it sounds like Alex would like it too. And "miss-peepee" :lmao:

Jenny - cute birthday pics - you're lucky Noah didn't like the frosting! He looks kind of disgusted by it in the picture. :rotfl:

Bethany - I hope you're all feeling better for your retreat! Too bad you don't still have that diaper ad - mother's usually save those things!

I'm in LA again this week, and man I am just so crazy busy. I have been working at least 10 hours a day, and I just miss my little guy so much. I think it's harder when you spend more time together like we had been recently. :guilty:

It just broke my heart on Sunday night before I left. DH was working, and Alex really wanted him to come home. He was almost hysterically crying and saying, "Daddy? Kiss? Get him? Let's go." He didn't want to read books like usual before bed, didn't want to play trucks or watch "move it" (Madagascar). The only thing that finally distracted him was the movie Cars.

Only 2 more days, but I'm worried because so much has come up at work that I didn't get everything done that I came out here to do, so I might have to come back sooner than usual. But I hope not. :sad2:

Kelly, you looked GREAT!! I'm sorry the casting call didn't go as planned.

Pollito, that is heartbreaking. I have yet to leave Spencer with even a babysitter, so I can't imagine how hard it is to leave for days at a time. :grouphug:

DMickey, good luck!!!

Jenny, Noah is adorable! Spencer has that same disgusted look when I try to give him potatoes.

The other day I was folding clothes. I left the popup hamper beside Spencer's playpen and went to put the clothes away. My MIL starts yelling for me to come and see what Spencer had done. The child had pulled the hamper in with him and then proceeded to climb inside! He was after two socks that were left in there :rotfl2:

Amber - those pics are GREAT! Too cute!!!

Pollito - Sorry to hear that you are so super-busy with work. That's no fun....maybe you will finish more than you expected to by this weekend! Too cute about Alex wanting his daddy. Brady is such a mommy's boy...my DH can't wait for the "daddy phase" to start! ;)

Amber- Spencer looks like he's having a blast in the hamper! :rotfl: Kids are too flipping funny!

Pollito- :( I would have felt awful too. It's hard being away from them, and they are too little to understand that Daddy HAS to work, or we'll be homeless. They don't care, they just want you home and playing tea party (well, that's what Vaylie would like, anyway).

I'm going out on Monday night with some coworkers for Girls' Night Out and we're going to The Melting Pot!! :yay: Yum-o! Love that place. And then, on Feb. 15th, DH made us reservations for a belated Valentine's dinner! 2 times in a week! :cool1:

Hey Ladies.

I'm not well today...I'm VERY sad and lonely, but I wanted to share some cute pictures of Moshe. His first day having pudding and then doing what he does well with his sippy cup....playing with it! :rotfl2: And finally, his bath afterwards.

And by the way....Kelly your pictures were wonderful and Brady is such a cutie and the spitting image of you! :goodvibes

Amber~~LOVE Spencer in the hamper!

Amber - Spencer looks adorable in the hamper. Alexander's new thing is hanging out of the playpen and saying CHEESE whenever he sees the camera! One of Spencer's pics looked like that!!

Denise - Mo is getting so big!! Are you ok? I hope everything is alright. (Did I miss something?)

Alexander had a bad time with the time change in the Fall and Daddy not being home by the time it was dark out. As soon as it would get dark he would go to the door calling for Dada but Dh doesn't get home until 7ish. It was heartbreaking .. I am glad he has adjusted. I can't imagine having to travel for work on a regular basis and being away that much. Kuddos to you guys, that is strength I don't have.

4DPO and GOING NUTS ... I don't remember it being this agonizing before!!

Denise - Love the pics of Mo. He is getting so big! Hope all is ok and you have a better day tomorrow. :grouphug:

DMickey - Too cute about "cheese" with the camera! Better than the deer-in-headlights Brady does. I have been trying to teach him "cheese", but whenever we say 1, 2, 3....cheese, he just screams and smiles. Cute...but loud! ;)

*********************************************************

So today Brady napped for 1 1/2 hours in the morning, and 2 hours in the afternoon and still went to bed right at 7pm. Yikes. I am praying he is not getting sick. DH and I are going up to Bretton Woods, NH next weekend from Thursday - Sunday with a bunch of other couples. That would really suck if he got sick. :sad2:

Hi ladies! How are things?

Denise- I hope everything is ok. It's hard feeling sad and lonely- I know, I have btdt.

Dmickey- I'm sure it was just as bad last time. I know I was crazy on my DPO. I started testing, like, 5 days DPO. You know. Just in case I was the 1 person on the planet who could tell that early. :lmao: I'm hoping for you though!

Kelly- I hope Brady's not getting sick either. Vaylie has been kind of half-sick (runny, stuffy nose, little bit of a cough, you know). But she's still playing and eating pretty well, so who knows.

Vaylie just went down for a nap- she's having a crabby day today. She even says, "Cwabby." No kidding.

Last night BIL and SIL watched Vaylie for us so we could go out to dinner and have a little date night, so tonight we are watching Dnephew for them so they can go out! So, that should be fun. :) Vaylie loves having "Buddy" over.

And we bought Vaylie a booster seat for the dining table last night- she gets to sit at the table like a big girl now; no more high chair. When did my girl get so big? I was lamenting this last night when DH and I were shopping at Babies 'R Us for th booster seat... There's not much for me to buy there anymore. :( No little clothes or onesies- we've outgrown most of the baby gear. *sigh*

Seems like yesterday:

Awwwww....Becky LOVE those pics!!! Time does fly by, huh?

Well, Brady went to bed at 7 and was extremely restless until about midnight. Then he was up screaming, so I went in to get him. He had a 101.9 fever. :sad2: So, I have him some Tylenol, some juice from his Nemo cup (his fav straw-cup) and then tried to put him back down. Nope. Not happening. We were up until around 3:30am. He slept until 8am, took a good nap this morning, but has had NO appetite. He usually eats everything in sight, but not today. Although he has been drinking a ton of fluids, so I guess that's good. He is playing and acting normal today...maybe a little more cranky and quiet....but just a low-grade fever of 99.2. So, we will see how tonight goes!!!

Kelly, I hope Brady feels better soon.

Becky, love the pics. She is a beautiful girl! princess:
