The New,New Hotel Thread-Yes, We're STILL Waiting

Well, Praise the Lord, at 5:20 CST, I FINALLY got one. I was just messing around on the site like I have been since 11:00pm and I heard her start talking. I was looking at some other things and not really paying attention. Glad I had my handy dandy headphones on cause my speakers are really, really low. Now I can wake DH up and let him know I DID get it. He has been laughing at me all week for wearing these headphones!!

I got the All Star Sports for 4/11-4/18. All that came up were 3 star and homes. But I am not complaining!!

All I can say is "STICK WITH IT"!! I have been up now going on 24 hours, but after coming soooo close at 1:30am and messing up entering my cc information, I was bound and determined to get a room.

I will say this, I never refreshed at all. I would play around and put in dates for the cruise, read the blog, things like that. I did clear my cookies after missing out earlier, but I really don't think that had anything to do with it.

So, it can be done!! Good luck to all and I guess I will start my day seeings an hour and half sleep is not gonna do me much good!!!

Yayyyyyy, There is still hope for me then.

At some point yesterday, I had trouble logging in and so I created another acct. with my junkmial email and a different password...I wonder if they are flagging that? I wonder if they can tell? It's not like I did it to cheat and get a second room as I don't have a first room yet! Will clearing my cookies get rid of this?

I logged in LMt at 6:32 and there it was on the front page $1 for Cocoa Beach ( I don't remember seeing any timer) . I just clicked that and the video played and as soon as the video was done the search page came up but the time was already 0:00 and the price changed back.......

Maybe I should of gotten up at 5;30.............i MIGHT OF had more time.

I had multiple tabs open in Firefox, but only one to LMT which was running c4c.. but Internet Explorer was what got in for me.

Congrats to all I'm still one of the losers so blow some pixie dust this way.

Thank you for your replies, but now I know its not my tabs being open I am just a looser If it were not 0 degrees on my computer, I would walk away and take a huge walk. Well lets go learn more about hotel destinations. I could pass a travel test right now.

For those of you that did win, while you on the website for a long time over 30? 1 hour? How long straight? I didn't know if I should keep it up too long, more than 30 minutes???? Or keep logging in and out for 30 minute periods....however then I could miss it during one of those 30 minutes when I am not on??????? Suggestions????

I will be there with you. Just have to run out from 8:30-10:00 then I will be back until 11:45.....then after 1...hoping.

Yes, I thought I would be smart and if my first choice wasn't there I could go to my second choice really fast but that didn't work. So I'm back to square one.

I got in!
5 nights at Riverside in early April.

I had been using c4c on the results page with the first 4 hotels highlighted for 4 hours searching every 2 minutes +/- 15 seconds.

I kept hearing reading of everyone winning and got frustrated after 4 hours.. so I opened up internet explorer.

I did not log in, entered disney world & my dates, clicked search and the video instantly came up.

I did not use enounce or roboform, typed quickly and finished with 1:36 left.

Good luck to everyone else, this took 3 hours shy of a week to get a video!

Did you have c4c with firefox running in one window & then opened up internet explorer? Or did you first shut down the c4c?

Count me in as another loser that will be sticking around today, I have no plans until about 4:30 so this should be fun. I saw the first 2 videos yesterday, before the clock ran out so I know they are there!

I was on all day/night Monday and it seems that more people are getting in since that fiasco.

Now, back to my cereal...

Congrats, question? do you have just one page up when on LMT or do you have 2 tabs up and go back and forth between dis and LMT. I have been on here but never get anything, wanna know if the 2 tabs thing is killing me.

I am using AOL so I know that is different than the other programs. I had the LMT up pretty much all night long. Every now and then I would minimize it, but not often. Now in the beginning, I had the LMT and the DIS up at the same time and would just click on one or the other, which would make one be in the front and the other behind. However, after I lost out at 130am and it made me listen to the video again, I minimized DIS everytime I read something or wrote something (prolly why it took me so long to answer, sorry!!). I didn't want anything to go wrong again. After I saw the video and heard the clock start, I knew it could be done and I was gonna get one of those rooms, so I just made sure I only had the LMT site up and the others minimized. I would play around with everything and minimize it for a few minutes and look at other stuff, but only for a few minutes. And I never hit the refresh button. I just clicked and clicked. And typed and typed. Wishing it was a cruise I was winning! And going to destinations and clicking on all of the continents and then the cities (or whatever they are called) and seeing what the weather was like where they were. I know it's gonna rain in London and be over 100 degrees in Melbourne, Australia!! Oh the crazy things we do for a dollar!!

I saw the video yesterday but too late to book anything. It was around 10 am. I had gotten on around 6 when I woke up, took a break around 8 to take my son to school and go the chiropractor then returned about 9. So I was on an hour or so before seeing the video (I was dising and when I flipped back to LMT, there was only 2 minutes left)

I think the radomness of this means that the window could pop up for you at anytime, not just when you are logged in. Unfortunately, you have no way of knowing if you missed it. So if for example, my second window was when I ran out to the store and pick my son up from school, I wasted hours on the computer in the afternoon/evening.

I'm actually looking forward to midnight tomorrow so I can stop this insanity. Either I will have gotten something or I will know my chances are done and I can return to my normal life.
