Has anyone watched Fright Night (The remake) yet?

It has some pretty good bite to it! Like the original. I really like both versions. I watched the remake yesterday.

Fright Night. I don't believe I've seen the old or new one.

Well then it is a good time especially so, to watch the original- I believe it is available via NetFlix. It is also available on DVD. Then go and see the remake. They are both worth watching. I also love Lost Boys. What does that have to do with Fright Night? Vampires, and it is one of my most favorite films.

So no one else has seen either movie? Hello? Buellar? Hello? Anyone? (I love that film too)

How about Cowboys and Aliens? I saw that today. I liked it. And will see it again.

Or how about the remake of the classic "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" opens tomorrow. Watch it if you dare! I will..........

I have seen some "suprisingly good" comments about cowboys and aliens, but am not sure it's for me.

Is that because it is sci-fi? And you are more geared toward only the sci part? If you like DL, I would imagine that you would have no problem with sci-fi in general. That is not to say that Disneyland is science fiction, because it isn't. But rather, it is a merging of suspended disbelief and cutting edge technology. Hence, in my opinion, it is a kissing cousin of science fiction.

I watched Are You Afraid of the Dark last night. I liked it, however found the ending to be greatly disappointing. And to me screams sequel, which I already have ideas for that. Not that Hollywood knows me.

When I was in high school a GF of a friend told me she didn't like movies when I suggest to them that a bunch of us go to see a movie. I later asked her why and she said because they are too fake.

But after she told me this I considered what she finds fun. Hardly anything. I decided I didn't want to be like that, i want to smile and have fun in life.

Still I agreed with her quite a bit. Some movies really irk me because they don't obey the law of physics. So I tend to avoid Sci Fi and action.

At DL, I have to work really hard to just sit back and relax. I tend to look at the attractions in a wierd way. Design, execution and operation. It's just my nature to consider those things. But I still have lots of fun.

Whose laws of physics? For I continue to hold on to my belief that what might and or would go against our laws of physics, does not mean necessarily that highly advanced life forms
cannot have technology that would differ and quite possibly greatly at that, from our own and that would defy what we humans know to be true. There was a time, that no one believed it would be possible to drive a machine, but yet cars came into existence. Or that it would be possible to fly through the air, but yet air planes were designed, and operated.
My point being that just because someone believes that something cannot be done, does not mean necessarily that it cannot be achieved. And also if all objections must first be overcome in order to do anything, then we would all still be sitting around in animal hides, if even that, wondering why our fresh kill does not taste so good cold. And it is of utmost importance to have an open mind. For the more closed that it is, the less that can be achieved. This is how I see it.

Laws of physics are unbreakable. They can't be overcome or site stepped. Any every being and objest has to obey them.

Laws of physics aren't something that man creates, like the world is flat or round. They are something that man discovers as science advances.

The Earth is round, and that was not created by man. But it will be destroyed by such if changes are not made for the better.

I understand about the laws of physics, all the same, and I will repeat my sentiment, just because one might not believe something can change, or be different from what they know the truth to be does not mean it cannot exist. That is what I believe.

It took about 2000 years for the basic law to be applied for people to first fly. And 150 years for another basic law to be applied allow for modern flight.

People believed people could or could not fly, both schools of thought were taking place at the same time, they couldn't proove either to be true until they discovered the laws of gravity that will. Then it took time to apply the laws to create the technology that would let it work.

But yet still no one can prove to me that technology cannot advance to and beyond the point of what is known now. Especially as it relates to E.T.s

Technology can advance. But science can not. Physics are what they are and always will be.

Fine, perhaps you win, but I still say there is more out there from what many people can think or believe.
