Japan has just been hit by an earthquake. An 8.8 magnitude. It hit 150 kilometers off of the coast of Japan. Japan is no stranger to earthquakes, however not of this strength. Smoke can be seen rising from the Tokyo Port Building. The Pacific Center has issued a 6 meter tsunami warning for the South Pacific and Hawaii. Also after shocks were felt just minutes after the quake.
Cars can be seen floating in the water. Alerts for people to vacate the local train station have been announced.
In Miyagi, many injuries have been reported.

All that I know is @150 kilometers off of the coast of Japan. I believe also in the Senhai sp? area.

No doubt. Watching the cars drive makes me think they don't know which way is up. So many house are getting inundated with the tsunami. I hope this isn't big as it goes across the ocean.

this is what i am watching.. its live. .ventura is having a heck of a time.. this tsunami is suppose to be 2 feet.. its causing mud and dirt to churn and the surge keeps coming in and out..

ok this may not seem like much .. this was just recorded on youtube. in the harbor of ventura.. the mud is being churned up from the ground in the water from the tsunmi.. so it may not look like much .. but keep watching!! watch the water by the boats
