My Dad just got off the phone with a very friendly Cast Member from CRO and I am happy to say we have our reservations for next August in Sugar Loaf. We are going there from August 11 - 22 and we are looking forward to our very 1st stay at the Grand Floridian.

Glad you were able to book Sugar Loaf! Did you end up changing your dates so you could stay SL?

Just thought I share this with you all. After my Dad made the reservations with CRO, I went online to the WDW website to see our confirmation so I could print one. Anyway when I looked at it the 1st Cast Member accidently made our reservation for Royal Palm. While I am sure it would be nice to stay there the cost for that room is way to expensive. Anyway my Dad called them back right away and everything was fixed.

Thank you and I don't see myself changing my name, because the Contemporary is always going to be my favorite Resort. Seriously I know you're only making a joke.

krbq!! I am so glad to see you posting.

LOL:rotfl2: Thanks, Kelly! Just indulging in a little escapism. Where better to hide from the real world than the DIS boards? It keeps me sane (I think).

Really, I can't believe how fast this thread has been moving! If I don't get on line for a day or two, I have so much catching up to do and this thread is SO worth reading for all the amazing tidbits.:thumbsup2

Is it true that all the new rooms have a mini bar, or is that only for the guests who stay in Royal Palm? If it's in every room is that seperate from the fridge, because my family and I would like to keep some drinks in there and would not want to start messing around with anything in the mini bar, so we don't get charged with purchasing something from there.

Just popping in to say hi. Kelly, will you please PM me the info for the pins?

And a whole bunch of PD arrived for my kiddos today direct from WDW from a certain Fairy Godmother whom we all love on this thread! Even the GF sent some extra PD on their own! I am ever so grateful and we LOVEEEEE it all. I will try to post pics in the next couple of days.

Oh, and welcome home Channing!!!!!

They all have a fridge now.

OK, so I never finished planning what we're going to do for my DD's 6th birthday celebration. Still have priority seatings at both the tea room that afternoon and 1900 PF for dinner and will have to soon decide which we want to do for her mini family celebration. I wanted to somehow get balloons and order a cake to be delivered there. And we were going to bring her present for her to open. 1900 PF doesn't sound like a great place to open a nice doll. I had thought about cancelling that dinner, but she's all excited about meeting Cinderella's stepfamily so we are definitely going. I guess if there's not going to be cream for the scones in the lounge, I may have to go to the tea room as well just so I can have some!!

I can't believe we're going to be there at the GF next week! Panic, panic--don't feel prepared!

I was telling someone about my families upcoming stay at the Grand Floridian and when I told them the dates we will be there, they said we should change Resorts. When I asked why I was told that PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers) always has a huge convention there around that time and they have always caused a lot of trouble. I was wondering has anyone else experienced what I have been saying, or is this just the opinion of one person? The one thing I find weird about this is that no one has posted anything on here about this specific group being a problem.

Done! I hope your son is doing better. :wizard:

KRBQ:

Check back on page four or five of this thread. Channing put the address out there for me for addressing letters to the GF with the name of the former manger. She was going to see if she could come up with the name of the new GM and let us all know.

Letters are a good way to express your good experiences and let them know they are doing things the right way.

Please keep the managers name to a PM please. It is the policy of the resort board and the DIS not to publish CM's names.

CR Resort Fan 4 Life;

That is hilarious. A bunch of CPA's from PwC causing problems and bothering others? Man, that firm has really changed since I worked there a long time ago. The only issue is that there are a lot of them and they take up a lot of the rooms so the GF will be full at that time which means that those going who are hoping for free upgrades will be disappointed.

Sorry safetymom. I agree that putting CM names out on the board can be an issue, but I don't see an issue on putting the name of the head dude to write and thank for a good time. However, I guess just addressing the letter to the GF and putting Attn: General Manager would probably get as much attention as putting the actual name.
