My DD would like to send your girls a pin or 2 also if you'll let us!
Did you all get some gingerbread house pins?

Hope you all are feeling better today and hopefully some of the visitors will start hitting the road tommorow and your weekend will be less crowded!:)

Happy Thankgiving (a day late), GF Pals!

I hope everyone had grand days with their families. :goodvibes

Channing - thanks for the live reports. So sorry to hear that you're not feeling well, and about JoJo's pins. That just stinks. :sad2: I have some pins I'd be happy to send her way, or if there are any particular ones she and Lucy are looking to replace, I can keep my eyes peeled over the next couple of weeks. Just PM me your address, and I'll send you a little package before Christmas. :thumbsup2

I can't believe I'll be hanging out in RPC this time next week! :cloud9: I can't wait - we leave tomorrow for Port Canaveral!!!

Channing,
My DD and I want to send a pin to your girls too! You might as well just let us all send them :) Let me know where to send it to, or I'll just send it to Kelly since I know she'll get it to ya ;)

:goodvibes

We are traveling to Disney on Monday and we all are very excited! Staying at the RPC and hoping to have a MK view! I was wondering how the crowds may be during that time? After reading previous posts I am thinking it will be crowded. I am not a fan of crowds. This is our first time going in the fall. Channing sorry to hear about the pins. I would love to send you some of mine too.
Take care
Heather:hourglass

lillypie, I'll be there on Sunday with my sisters...staying SL, unless we get "pixie-dusted". Wear your best DISer smile, and I'll wave!
BTW, I've heard from some CMs that the crowds should be thinning by Sunday afternoon. Yay!

Does anyone still fax in room requests to the resort before you go?
If anyone still does, does anyone have the GF fax number to the room assigner???:santa:

Hey everyone I have touched base with Channing about the pins. IF you want to mail Jojo a pin please PM me and I will give you the address.

Kelly

Since we have so many DISERS going down the next few weeks everyone take lots of pics so we can add them to the thread.

I will definitely be taking pics - I registered for a photobucket account today. I am so excited I wish it was Dec. 16th already! To quote Tom Petty, "The waiting is the hardest part"! Sing it with me Kelly ;):rockband:

We are here! :cool1:

We stayed at the Hyatt MCO last night since we arrived so late (highly recommend) and then took ME over aound 9am, checked in at 9:35am and were in MK at 10am - it was awesome! The crowd was so much less then I imagined. 20min waits for pretty much everything, even Buzz. By 2pm it was getting up to 30-40min waits for some things but we did the carousel, philarmagic which were both walk ons and then came back. We wanted to relax and see the room.

We had a garden view ressie but I think we were upgraded. We are in Conch Key facing the monorail - which my dd6 LOVES. I think she prefers this to the Castle view at Poly. Every 5 minutes she is screaming out what color monorail is coming next. Cute now but I fear it will get old quick! :lmao: I like being close to the boat launch. Nice when you are tired coming back from MK.

The lobby looks gorgeous. The gingerbread house is amazing. DD ate chocolate mickey mouse ears for breakfast from the gingerbread shop:blush: Hey, she needed the sugar to make it thru the park. We were up so late last night.

I will update more once I walk around some. I have already taken pics but probably won't update until we get home.

We have 4:40pm ressies at 1900 - I know not the greatest place but we have never been and figured it would be easy since we were just checking in. DD wants to see the stepsisters anyway. Then we will be back to MK for the rest of the night. I am expecting bigger crowds tonight since it is open until midnight.

Oh and the weather is PERFECT!!

Suzanne,
Look forward to reading more! Glad to hear that ME got you to GF so quickly - our upcoming trip will be the first time we use it and I am a little worried about it.
Have a great time! Your DD sounds like my DD5. Believe me, she'd love to eat Mickey ears for breakfast :)

Suzzane...

Believe it or not... that's the garden view!!! (and my personal favorite!!!) My mom STILL likes to go and watch the monorail and the boats from that view...

Here's some pics from the 5th floor room 7513...

Epcot crowded.....zoo today. We had fun, though going to the countries and seeing the Xmas stuff.

Since Suzanne said MK was't bad today, we are heading over there tonight after Wishes. Went there last nt and it was awesome so we stayed until midnight, but it was't awesome til after the Wishes crowd cleared out. We were there yesterday during the day and it was a zoo.

It's much warmer than earlier in our trip. RPC is crowded now, too. lounge is full but still seating room. No cream for scones. I am bad and didn't see anybody about manager name or Sago. Just been running or resting.

Girls having luck w/pins. Nobody turned Jo's in, but they are back on track and catching up on lost time and found some good ones today to replace some lost. I heard you have to guard your pins because people WILL NOT turn them in. They are a hot commodity for people to keep and Ebay.

GF beautiful w/ Poinsettias and new plantings everywhere.

We have a room w/an outside wall and it has wallpaper so not sure what that business is about.

Happy planning,

Lives4Disney :)

Question for some experts - Main Building RPC. We are going next week and last year we booked 2 rooms. One Deluxe for us and one honeymoon room for my daughter and husband. Since that time she has gotten pregnant and is a little over 6 1/2 months.

We just called tonight about switching a dinner reservation and got into the room assignments. The CM told us that at the moment my DD room is located on the 2nd floor - down that hallway with a special elevator and I think there is a door near Gasparilla's on the outside that also lets you in with a key. The rooms are sorta isolated? Seems like she would be way out of the way and being pregnant - not so sure this is ideal.

Has anyone ever stayed in a room like that before? We cannot find any info on this. Your answers are much appreciated.....

We stayed in a honeyroom room on the 2nd floor this past June and although it initially seems isolated, it's really not. The lounge is just a short stroll down the corridor to the main elevator. We actually liked the convenience of being able to access the elevator that's adjacent to Gasparilla's. It's alot less crowded than the elevator in the main lobby. Plus, our room was directly above Gasparilla's and the view from the balcony was straight across the lake to Cinderella's Castle. It was wonderful!

dingoballs - THANK YOU so much for answering so quickly. Was the room special? If you were right over the eatery - was it noisy at night? I
so appreciate that you caught this question and answered it so quickly - am going to pass it along to my dd. :goodvibes

You're very welcome SuzyWindy. :)

I think the room was special because of the MK view, which is not available from all of the rooms. We had the same thought about noise when we first checked out the room, but it wasn't noisy at all. One evening, there was a function with about 50 or so people that was set up in front of Gasparilla's at the edge of the marina, but they didn't make too much noise. Other than that, you wouldn't even know that the room was located above Gasparilla's. Oh yeah, during the Wishes fireworks show, the music was played over the loudspeaker system around the marina so we were able to enjoy the fireworks and music right from the balcony! Hope you guys have a great time!
