Yay! Let's go! Oh.....bummer, I need a new camera.

I also loved the new Basin store. DD and I went and had some shopping fun there, too. When I use my Basin soaps I feel I am there.

Disney Spaz....yep, that's what happened to us. We love the GF over anything else. Glad you had an awesome time. What building were you in? How was your view?? Details!!!

I'm sorry about your camera! I hope it turns up and someone didn't steal it!! It's so disappointing to think that people just steal like that.I'm glad you uploaded some of your photos although I know it's not much of a consolation since the whole darn camera and the other few days are gone! I really hope you find it!

DH searched the house and every stupid place we could have put that darn camera. It was a cute, really really small -but nice - digital camera that could have easily been slipped into a pocket. I am kicking myself I didn't just toss it into my tote. I have a bad feeling it is gone.

I love my pink Mickey "Sprite" soap. I didn't see the blue Mickey head soap! I wonder if they get diff products in frequently. They didn't have a few things I bought at Xmas time (green tea soap etc....) that I wanted more of in May. I do enjoy that store. Much better than the previous one.

Princesses.....did you mention there were new RPC food offerings?? I thought you had. Can you tell what they were??

Okay, is building 7 actually Conch Key? I thought it was Sago Cay. I did see benches being removed from Sago Cay in May. A CM told me rehabs were supposed to start in building 7 which I thought was Sago Cay. We've never been in that lodge but have been in Conch Key three trips. Isn't it building 6...or is Sugar Loaf 6? I know where my building and room are but don't pay that much attention to the #.

Ya, apparently things really do get stolen during luggage searches. We have looked and looked and it's gone. I am so disappointed....live and learn. It was dumb of me and I don't know WHAT I was thinking.

We are leaving in a few days and I am very excited. I hope there will not be too much disturbance in RPC during our stay.

And I only saw two loads of benches being removed from Sago Cay. It looked like a balancing act as there were probably 6 or 7 of them on the cart... I saw two trips and felt sorry for the CM.

Maybe both buildings are being worked on. I didn't pay any attention to Conch Key even though we dined at Narcoossee's. Of course, a lot has probably happened in three weeks.

Channing, don't feel badly. It happens. As you said, live and learn. In the rush of packing....

I did - but I hope they just weren't new to us! We did not see the green meat on a stick but they had a southwesten style chicken on a stick that was good. They also had 2 Phyllo filled mini-turnover type things that were both good. One was goat cheese and the other was a Beef Wellington if I remember correctly. They had a couple new little sides that they put in the little bowls or glass square little plates. There was one with mandarin oranges and something else, a Southwestern corn and a couple others we hadn't seen before that were all really good! We aren't there every night at Twilight Refreshers so mabye we hadn't been there on the nights those were served! Let me know if you've had any of those before!
Pretty much everything else was the same but we love all the other offerings! I could eat scones everyday! DD missed the pumpkin muffins but I guess they are just served seasonally. The new cappucino/espresso maker is great! You can do extra options like fat free milk,extra shot of espresso,etc.

Thanks for that! Yes, I have had the SW corn salad type thing before and the phyllo dough filled with a couple diff things, but not beef wellington. ALWAYS the gray and green meats on sticks. I think that has become a RPC staple. That would be great if they are adding some different items. It gets old that they - for the past few yrs at least - have had the same stuff out. My DD7 (miss picky eater) loves those pumpkin muffins, too. And I am with you on the scones! Sounds great about the new cappucino machine. We miss the appetizers a lot, but when we catch them they seem like always the same old same old. We hardly ever catch the twilight refreshers, either.

I miss the GF, too. I am having mega WDW withdrawals and it's only been a couple weeks since we got back. This is bad.

Lives4Disney, I hate to hear about your missing camera. We had ours stolen the 2nd day of our trip in Sept. '06. I had a little meltdown in MK when I realized it was gone...it had photos of the halloween party, my DD's 1st haircut at the Barber Shop, her first character interaction (w/ Donald). It has been months & it still makes me sick when I think about it. I kept calling Lost & Found hoping someone had at least turned in the memory card being a wee bit thoughtful, but nothing. It sort of spoiled my trip just to think someone would take it from the MK, like that was a magical place set aside from the things of the "real world". I know you are thankful that all of your pictures were not on that camera, or that would have really been awful! I hope maybe it slipped through the cracks somewhere & you will eventually find it.

I did have an odd question to ask everyone. We got our ADRs that we wanted for our Dec. trip, incl. 1900 dinner w/ Cinderella & b'fast at 1900 w/ Alice. I have a daughter who will be 2 by then & wanted her to have an Alice dress for the b'fast. I emailed Disney's merch. & they said the smallest size that GF offers is a 4. Can anyone confirm this? We saw these in March but I didn't check the sizes, wish I had! I want her to have a costume but didn't know if I should try for Ebay or wait until we get there & see if the merch. line was correct. She will probably need a size 2. Thanks for any help!

Sorry your camera went "missing", too. That is horrid that you lost all those pics.

Magical4us is leaving for the GF in a couple days.....I bet she'd check. Give her a PM. (she just posted on the previous page & you an PM her from there) If you can't get ahold of her, maybe call the GF and ask to be tferred to the Sandy Cove gift shop where they sell the Alice dresses and they can physically double check for you. My DD has had a couple of these thru the years, but she wasn't Alice until she was 5 or 6 yrs old.

I wish someone had a website with all GF info like Tikiman has for the Poly! Mabye we should all start one! Then we would have to go to the GF all the time to do "research" for it!!

I agree. There are call centers in Tampa and other cities and I'm sure they don't always have the most up to date info. It might be hard to keep updating with info on which rooms/buildings were done or if there is a delay,etc. Hopefully, Deb Wills will have a building by building update like she did for the Poly buildings rehab.I think I'll check right now!!

On another note, I wanted to mention the new Basin store in the GF. It is really nice! We went a little crazy with bath bombs and soaps! They had some different soaps than what the DTD store had. It's not as big a store as the Basin in DTD but still had plenty of things to get us in trouble! We felt it was a great addition to the GF instead of the Bally store.

Also, we loved the new H2O Spa line! It was still the GF brand shampoo when we were there in October. You all can probably tell me when it switched. They do the H2O Aquatics line at Vero Beach which we really like too. We'll be at HHI next month and I'm anxious to see if they still have the Mickey line there or if they have switched to H2O as well.

I can't remember who was asking about Mickey Crocs,( it might not have been this thread so forgive me if I'm wrong!) but they carry them in Sandy Cove. They have Mickey Crocs for sale EVERYWHERE in the parks! DD loves hers but I already have giant feet and I can't get past the fact that they make my feet look even bigger!!

Have fun planning everyone! We are in the process of booking RPC for November so I'm excited to have a trip to look forward to.

Good morning all-
I'm trying to firm up some plans for our Oct. trip to GF - was going to email a couple of requests to the folks at RPC (I do have several ADRs already)- but have a couple of questions.

On EMH nights at the MK, assuming the parks closes normally at 9, what time is Wishes? We wanted to rent a boat at the GF marina for a Wishes cruise and trying to decide which night would work best. I know they won't go out on MNSSHP nights (and there are 4 while we are there!) so I only have a couple of options.

Also, has anyone used Private Dining on a Wishes cruise? What did you order? Would you do it again?

SLDL: I will be happy to look for the Alice dress for you. I will be there Thursday and can check if you would like.

Also, do the Disney stores carry any kind of Alice dresses? They would definitely have a size 2, I am sure.
