Good morning all-
I'm trying to firm up some plans for our Oct. trip to GF - was going to email a couple of requests to the folks at RPC (I do have several ADRs already)- but have a couple of questions.

On EMH nights at the MK, assuming the parks closes normally at 9, what time is Wishes? We wanted to rent a boat at the GF marina for a Wishes cruise and trying to decide which night would work best. I know they won't go out on MNSSHP nights (and there are 4 while we are there!) so I only have a couple of options.

Also, has anyone used Private Dining on a Wishes cruise? What did you order? Would you do it again?

You can check the October calendars, either here on the DIS or at disneyworld.com, to see the fireworks schedule for October. If it's anything like last year, they still did Wishes, even on the nights of the MNSSHP. If there is an EMH evening, Wishes will still be performed before normal park closing hours.

I'm also pretty certain that they do Wishes cruises each night, and may even do 2 a night when there are 2 fireworks shows (i.e., one for regular Wishes, and then another for HalloWishes). I know that I've read trip reports where people have been on Wishes cruises, and seen the special party fireworks. I've never tried to book one myself at that time, but I'm sure that if you called Disney or IPO, they could confirm.

Also, do the Disney stores carry any kind of Alice dresses? They would definitely have a size 2, I am sure.

That would be wonderful!!!! My dd is about 27 lbs. if they have the weight on there, I don't think length is an issue as I think the dresses are shorter anyway. If you don't see a size smaller than 4 maybe you could see the weight on the size 4 b/c I'm thinking it might work. Thank you thank you thank you! And I have never seen the Alice dresses at the Disney Store, but I don't think I had seen any anywhere until I saw the one at the GF.

We used GF Private Dining on our Grand 1 Wishes cruise last December. We had champagne, hot chocolate for the kids, and a white chocolate marble cake. Everything was wonderful! Here is a link to my Trip Report where I talk about the Grand 1 cruise...

Your Grand 1 experience looked wonderful! Am I right in that you did not see Wishes on the cruise? Is that because it was a MVMCP night? I've been told that the boats don't cruise during the party fireworks and am waiting for confirmation from IPO.

We DID see Wishes on our Grand 1 cruise. Last year was the first year that they showed Wishes at 6pm in addition to HolidayWishes at 9:30pm on MVMCP nights. I booked our Grand 1 cruise for 5:30 - 6:30. It was perfect! We got to see sunset at 5:40pm and Wishes at 6pm! I do not think that they are showing Wishes on party nights this year, at least, that's what the park hours are showing on the Disney website. It might have been a test run last year? If I were you, I would call the GF Marina directly and ask them. The number I have for the Marina is 1-407-824-2682. You might need to leave a message. Hope this helps!

They started rehabbing the Honeymoon Suites in RPC this week!

Does anyone know if they are doing the second floor honeymoon rooms first - or the turret rooms?

And I wonder if the Grand has switched to the new refillable mugs that I've read about - or whether they are still using the GF Alice-themed mugs??

My oldest DD is actually a ladies small, but young DD is really tiny. Also, DH and I are somewhat pooh sized, but we are trying to not be when we come down, so do they have robes to fit us too?

If I remember correctly, they're all adult, one size fits all. They used to have childrens robes years ago, but not anymore. I think they might have a wider size variety for the robes you can purchase, but the one's you can request in your room are all basically the same.

We were in RPC so we didn't ever go down to Gasparillas. I can't remember what mug people were carrying around! Hopefully someone else will let you know here soon!

I know that you can purchase them for children...I bought them for my 4 year old nieces last year.

There are just 2 Adult robes ! That is all I've ever seen every time we stay - no kids size! I think Tammi said that they had kids size a while back, but not in the last few years.

I think the ones you can request for your room and those that you can purchase are very different quality. You might find two bathrobes already hanging in your closet and you can call housekeeping to have two more brought up for your stay.

For the renovations, I've been keeping an eye on the Kingdomsurplus store on E-bay and so far, I've only seen items for sale from the 5th floor of the Conch Key building. If they are doing it floor by floor, I imagine that if they indicated honeymoon rooms, they mean the 2nd floor units first. The turret rooms will probably be done with the other rooms on their floor.

I was just wondering whenever the renovations start are they going to be working on Gasparilla Grill & Games? That is one of my families favorite counter service places to eat at while in WDW, so we plan to go there again this August and it's easy to get there by taking the Monorail from the Contemporary. I think that I read it was last renovated in 2004, so if that's true would there be a need to renovate it again?
