In May 2000 when my family and I got upgraded to the 14th floor I forget which room we had, however it was either 4913 or 4915.
So were they noticeably larger?

I don't remember exactly how they looked, however I do remember they were big and just like the other standard rooms on the other Tower floors. So were they noticeably larger?

I am not sure. However the thing you need to remember is those rooms have 1 King Bed each, where as 4913 and 4915 have 2 Queen Beds. Are 4911 and 4912 really small?

Yes they are.But aren't all the other rooms the same size, regardless if it's 1K or 2Q?
The only stairs I know about are the ones you see when standing on the observation decks of each floor, however I doubt anyone ever uses them and I don't think the Cast Members want you using them.CR Resort Fan, do you know where the stairs are in the Tower at CR?? We couldn't find them and wanted to use them a few times. We were on the 6th floor.
My family and I once had a Magic Kingdom View as low as the 6th floor which is the lowest floor you can get (there are none on the 5th floor because of the Monorail station) and we found nothing wrong with it at all. If you want to stay as high as possible then request a room for the 11th floor, since it's the highest none Club Level floor in the Tower.
Thanks, we've requested as high as possible but we're not getting in until 6-7 PM on a Fri so I'm worried that it won't be availible.
I'll just make sure we all cross our fingers.![]()

Honestly I don't know.gmi3804 said:But some of the double rooms on 14 look so much smaller than all the other rooms on that floor. Are the small-looking ones the same depth as the regular rooms on other floors? Am I phrasing this correctly?
The pool renovations started on Janurary 5th and is scheduled to finish on March 15th. So during that time you can still use the quiet pool which is located behind the main pool or go swimming at the Polynesian, since they are allowing you to pool hop there during that time.I read a while ago that the Contemporary pool would close sometime for improvements. Has it closed? reopened? if not any idea when it will? I'm thinking of going for a weekend in early March...

Doesn't the Grand Floridian have more then 1 pool? I also feel bad for the guests staying at the Polynesian during this time however if WDW managment is saying the Contemporary and Grand Floridian guests can go swim there, then they won't be doing anything wrong.I have a reservation at the Contemporary for late March/Early April, and when I made the reservation, the CM on the phone told me that the pool refurbishment should be finishing up by the time we arrive (March 26), but in the event that it is not done, we are welcome to use the pools at EITHER the Polynesian OR Wilderness Lodge.
Hope this helps!
On the other hand, I feel bad for guests booked at the Poly between now and March, as the GF pool is also closed for rehab and they are ALSO being told to use the Poly pool....that is going to be a crowded pool.![]()
