Some added thoughts on noise....we just returned a couple weeks ago. Construction noise (from Contempo Cafe) was never really a problem for us. It mostly happened during the day while we were out anyway and they were finshed most of the major work I think. BUT, we were on the 9th floor, next to last room from the end, right over Chef Mickey's and that was loud. Overall, I would say that the rooms at the hotel were very quite - we could never hear noise from other rooms, outside, or the hallways, but when the annoucement and music started up at Chef Mickey's, wow! We are early risers, so the mornings weren't a problem, but the party lasts until like 10:30pm every night, so every 30 minutes you'd hear the party start and last for about 10 minutes. It was a little annoying when you were trying to fall asleep.

That said - I love the CR and would not hesitate to stay again, even in the same room with the party noise. You just cannot beat the location, the size of the rooms, and the view from the MK tower rooms.

CR fan what are the DME trip to CR like? Does the bus usually make many stops? Is there a separate bus for the MK resorts? We will be there Christmas week and just trying to decide if limo service would be a good idea. Thanks one and all for any info.

My family and I have never used Magical Express before and based on what I have read the route is from Orlando International Airport is never the same. So hopefully someone else will be able to help you with this question.

The zone the CR is in includes Grand Floridian, the Polynesian and the Wilderness Lodge. Whether your bus will go to all 4 resorts depends on how they fill the bus at the airport. I've been on it when it only went to 2 resorts. And I've been on it when it went to all 4. The order at which they drop off varies as well. Each stop isn't very long, although if you're anticipating checking in, it can seem long.

I have done ME to CR once (and once to AKL). It worked well. When I rode it to the CR it went to the CR first (if I remember right) but continued on to Poly and GF. That was the route the ME took on the way back to the airport.

I don't remember WL being loaded onto either bus at the time but wouldn't begin to doubt what ZZUB says. I arrived mid-day at a non-peak time of the year and the ME staging area was pretty empty. During peak, the route is probably quite different.

The two times I've used ME to the Contemporary (both in early December), the stops were Poly, Grand Flo., Wilderness Lodge, and CR last.

TigrLvsPooh who is currently staying at the Contemporary said on their live trip report that they hit some "unexpected problems" with the Contempo Cafe, which has delayed the construction progress and found out they should open in a few months, but does not think that is accurate. Well the only Monorail to Epcot is at the Transportation & Ticket Center.

Sorry if this has been asked a buch already, but has anyone heard any more on the reported pool closing in January? We switched to WL when we heard the rumor, but I am sooo disappointed and am holding out hope that the rumor will turn out to be untrue - and I can then switch back!!! We really need the pool with our little mermaid!

The order of DME drop-offs is at the discretion of each individual driver ... there's no pre-set order.
