I have no idea what "local" games are typically shown by Orlando's local network affiliates, but if your husband is as die-hard football fan as I am, he would politely laugh at your question.

There will be no conflict about whether the local CBS affiliate will show the Dolphins game or the Tampa game. Your husband knows that since both the Tampa Bay Bucs and the Dallas Cowboys (whom they play on the 26th) are NFC teams, that game will be broadcast by Fox. And since both the Bills and the Dolphins are AFC games, that game will be broadcast by CBS.

In other words, there's no way the local CBS affiliate can possibly show the Tampa game instead of the Dolphins game. Now, whether or not the local CBS affiliate will show the Dolphins game instead of any other game is a question I can't answer.

And by the way, you are a wonderful wife!!!:thumbsup2
What if the Jacksonville Jaguars who are another AFC team are also playing that day, since their games would most likely be on CBS.

You raise a good point, but in this particular case it won't matter. On 10/26, Jacksonville plays Cleveland (both AFC teams) at 4:00, and the Dolphins/Bills play at 1:00.

Also, Tampa is roughly 80 miles from Orlando and Jacksonville is roughly twice as far away from Orlando ... so I admit I know nothing about the ins and outs of Florida media markets, but I'll just assume that Orlando's CBS affiliate would air the Tampa game over the Jax game if both teams played at the same time and were both being serviced by CBS.

Why on earth would you put the toilet in the enclosed room? It should be the shower there so someone could shower and someone else could use the toilet or sinks at the same time. All I could think of was how many people must have wiped themselves and then opened the door with the same hand before they could get to the sink to wash their hands

That’s so funny, I thought the same thing concerning the door for the toilet and having to open a door before washing your hands.

Outer Rim tribute, CR better bring it back!

Couldn't resist responding to this . . .

In the original rooms, there actually was a sink and mirror in the room with the toilet. During one of the rehabs the sinks were removed (I don't know why) and nothing else was put into the space. Recently some posters have reported it's where they now store their luggage.

Just some CR trivia for you.

Well if the Miami game is at 1:00 PM and the Jackonsville game is at 4:00 PM there should be no problems.

Also when you talk about how Tampa is roughly 80 miles from Orlando don't you mean Miami? Usually when Tampa plays they are usually on Fox as an NFC team, so the only times they would be on CBS is if they were playing an AFC team.

You're sweet, thank you! Yes, I learned long ago that a DH that gets to watch the Bills is a happy DH. So, if that's his only request for this vacation, no problems by me.

I appreciate the info...could not have figured that out myself! That's good news that he can hopefully have his choice of watching in the room or at ESPN.

This board is grrrrrrrreat :rotfl:

A little extra CR trivia - originally a shower stall occupied this space. This was especially convenient becasue two people could bathe at the same time, the tub and the separate shower. During one of the rehabs in the 1980's the showers were removed and replaced with the single sink.

1. Your husband should have no problem looking up his fantasy Football website. As for websites not allowed I know that some of them are Youtube, Wikipedia (although I found if you did a search for something and clicked on the Wikipedia link it will work) and Photobucket, so that will be a problem for uploading your photos if that's the site you use. Also I don't remember seeing a thing on the computers to upload memory sticks, although I maybe wrong about that. Besides that I am sure they have filters on any adult themed websites.

2. If he can not watch the game in the room the next best place is the ESPN Club at the Boardwalk.

3. Yes they are still showing movies by the pool if the weather will allow it, so all you do is check the board out there each day to find out which one it is.

4. Based on the pictures from Denise's website (nbodyhome) the new counter service location is almost finished, however there is still no word on the official opening date. Anyway here is a link to her site with the pictures of it. http://www.mousesteps.com/index.php...sk=view&id=224&Itemid=65&limit=1&limitstart=1

I have some more photos up today, plus like 70 of the T-Rex. :)

Denise,
Those photos look great so thank you for taking them and posting them on your site. :thumbsup2

Also while you were at the Contemporary did you find out when the Contempo Cafe would be opening?

FYI - Due to a variety of dietary restrictions for the members of our travel party, I had to contact Disney's special dietary folks in order to make some special plans. I had to provide them with a list of restaurants that we planned to visit. Contempo Cafe was on my list, even though it's not officially set to be open.

I was told that Contempo Cafe would be open during our December stay of 12/10 to 12/19. :woohoo:

Make your plans accordingly! :thumbsup2

I just booked an Atrium Club Level room. On the Disney booking page it said I would have 'limited' concierge service. I spoke with a Disney rep and she said I would have full service, just a little less food. I saw on another site that it is now the same as full concierge.

Help!

What is the real difference between the two and is Atrium CL on the 12th floor?!

Thanks in advance!

The only difference is the total number of rooms on each floor and the various suites on the 14th floor. So besides that the 12th floor will have full Club Level service just like the 14th floor.

In fact here are pictures from my August 2008 Atrium Club Level stay of the lounge which shows the foods they sereve in the afternoon and the hors d'ouvres served at 5:00 PM.

CR Resort Fan for Life, THANK YOU!

Do you remember if they have Red Bull? Mr. Frick needs that to rise and shine in the morning!

We had some time to kill today while changing from the GF to BCV, so we visited the CR and DH confirmed that the Outer Rim is, in fact, going to stay on the Concourse level between the current Grab N Go and Chef Mickey's. He talked to a guy who's working on it.
:yay:

For those of you concerned about the walk from the Garden Wing to the Tower, I walked it myself today -- it's 145 of my paces. DH figures one of my steps to be 20-24", but I think it's less than that. Anyway, I got lots of photos, which I'll post when I get home.

And, by the way, it took less than 2 minutes.

:cool1:

Thanks!!! That doesn't sound bad at all.

Enjoy the rest of your trip. ::MickeyMo

Sounds easy enough! Thanks for the detailed account that only a DIS'er could offer up. :thumbsup2
