I'm sorry if this has already been asked. I havent made it through the whole thread yet.

Am I right saying that there are 2 different club levels at the CR, atrium and tower club?

Here's my problem. I was only able to book a club level for our Dec. 09 trip. The very nice CM who made the reservation told me it's the tower club level. And that there's really no difference in price between the 2.
Today I found out that indeed, there is a price difference of quite a few hundred dollars between the two.
To confuse me even more, I called to see if I can change to the atrium and was told that I can't pick what club level I want? Am I missing something?
I called 2 different times and was basically told the same thing. :confused3

I kind of got through reading this thread (very helpful by the way :worship: ) that I can pick between the 2 (if available of course) I could be wrong. I just don't know how to handle this.
I'm thrilled that I could get what I got but if I can save a few bucks to drop in the shops around Disney, I'd be even more happy!
Thank you for any help. :)

yes there are 2 club levels. from what ive been able to gather from here, the atrium club is made of normal rooms and is on the 12th floor. the tower club is on the 14th floor, has only 5 normal rooms, and the other 11 rooms on the floor are suites. if you've booked a club level suite you will be on the 14th floor.
the services seem to be the same on both floors, but the lounge is slightly bigger on the 12th floor.

I just switched my garden wing room for a room with view of MK I hope my daugther enjoy her birthday there. The first part of our trip will be at the BWI and then on to the CR.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

If you read the 1st post on page 1 by triplefigs, you will see that she included my description of both the Atrium Club floor and Tower Club floor, which says their differences.

Have a great time because the Magic Kingdom View is simply amazing and you will notice it right away when you 1st walk into your room.

Thanks. I did read that description. What was confusing me is that according to 2 different CM's that I spoke to yesterday is I can't book a specific floor. Not because of being unavailable but more like club level is like regular park/bay lake view rooms before they started charging for views...I can request 12th or 14th floor but not guaranteed to get which one I want. They are telling me that I won't know which floor I get until I check-in. I didn't understand that because of the price difference between the 2 floors.

What those Cast Members told you was wrong. I can guarantee if you make a reservation for a room on the Atrium Club you will be on the 12th floor and if you make a reservation for a room on the Tower Club you will be on the 14th floor. So don't always believe what the Cast Members say on the phone, because 99% of the time they are wrong and don't know what they are talking about.

Cr fan

I assume you've been on club level before
Do you think that lounge gets more or less crowded than the Polys
I would think the Poly has more guest rooms for who the lounge is available than the CRs 12th floor. Would you agree with that?
The more I read of the CR the more I want to see of the MK from a high floor.

On an unrelated topic;

We did a vip tour a few weeks ago and the Guide pointed out how you can see the new CR tower from different spots in the MK which some people didnt like. It was sort of breaking the 'illusion' of the MK

They said that while you could always see the CR's A tower from Tomorrowland that was OK since the CR was 'futuristic' and fit the theme of tomorrowland.

But now you can see the new tower from different places
We noticed it as we walked out of Liberty Sqaure. Was strange to see it in the background.

I just wanted to point out my new banner to all my friends on this thread. Approx. 1 hour ago I booked my next trip to the CR!!! :woohoo: I'll be in a MK view room again for 8 nights in Sept '09. I did enter a request to be on the 9th floor or higher, and to be on the gift shop side of the building. Last year we stayed on the Chef Mickey side. While I liked being able to step outside my door and see the characters down below, my girlfriend was annoyed by the noise when she tried to take naps in the afternoon. only 1 year, 1 month, and 2 weeks to go...:cool2:

Yes the Polynesian Club Level building which is the Hawaii Longhouse does have more rooms, then either Club Level floor at the Contemporary. So I would say they get more guests in their lounge, however it's a lot bigger then either lounge on the Atrium Club or Tower Club.

I noticed that when looking at pictures on another WDW website, however there is nothing they could do. Although I am sure it will look a lot better once all the construction of the Bay Lake Tower is finished.

A question from a family who cannot afford the Tower.

I know the bottom floor rooms have a patio shared by the next room.

The 2 upper floors - look like they have sliding glass doors too.

Are the upper floor room windows just big windows ? Do they open up - slide across like a slideing door ?

What is on the other side of the large window/sliding doors on the 2 upper floors os the wing rooms ?

Thanks !

WOW - found the answer !!!!
The second and third floor rooms have doors that open up to a railing. You can lean out your door to have some fresh air or look around, but no sitting down.

How much is the difference in the tower room and garden view for when you are planing to go?

We plan on going Easter weeks in 2010. I figure a Wing room will cost around $400 per night in 2010. Normally that is Peak season and no discounts. We do have AAA and Chase Disney Visa.

It will be 14 nights - So I think the room will cost about $5600.

The Tower lowest cost rooms might cost about $520 in 2010 - then it would cost us $7280.

It would be a $1680 difference - almost the cost of the meal plan for 4 adults (DH, DW, DS 18 yrs old in 2010 and DD 15 ys old in 2010) - say DDP costs $40 per adult per night in 2010, then our total will be $2240.

Should we try to book through Dreams Unlimited and see if they could snag us a discount ?

Could I still fax the CR our room requests if we go through Dreams Unlimited ?
And also pay part of our room & DDP package with our Disney Dream Rewards ?

Thanks for any advice.

Here is another question - I do not know if anyone lnows - maybe the Lake Buena Vista planning boards knows....

Will there be a path/walkway from the grounds of the CR, near the pool, Wing area tobe able to get to the BLT DVC pools ?
This way DVC'ers could walk over to the CR pools and the guests of CR can walk over to the BLT DVC pools.
A nice way to share pools:goodvibes

That's a good question. I would think they would have one to make things easier for both sets of guests, however if not there is always the walkway from the 4th floor to the Bay Lake Tower that they are building.

Ya, I'm sure they would. I mean, I would be shocked if there is only like one or two ways to get from building to building
