After reading all these posts, I can't wait until our trip in Nov. This will be our first time at a moderate and I am loving everything I read about CS.

First I have to say that this thread on CSR has been a great help. DS10 and I are staying at CSR Sept27/Oct4. I have requested for a waterview room that is close to the Dig site but after looking at some pictures (great site Mario thanks) DS and I were wondering if we should just ask for a room in Cabana 8b, any direction would be great. Also I just bought a new digital camera and it has a jack that I can hook up to a TV that has a video in and audio in jack so we can view the pictures I take, does anyone know if the TV's at CSR have these on there TV's. Thanks
Don :D

Yes they do. You should be all set. Any of the cabana rooms are great. All buildings at CSR have elevators, even the cabanas with 2 stories.

Thanks Mario for the info, now I'm going to e-mail my agent and request Cabana 8b, hopefully we will get it.
thanks again.
Don

What is the feedback about staying in the Casitas area? Everyone talks about the Cabana section but the Casitas look nice too.

I really like the Casitas. I stayed in Casita #1 on my last visit to Coronado and it truly is a great location. Perfect for access to El Centro. This area has lots of pretty fountains and gardens. The buildings are 4 stories. The Casitas quiet pool is adjacent to the Health Club and Beauty Salon. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in any of the Casita Buildings.

My DH surprised me by adding a few days at the CSR to our upcoming trip and I'm so excited! We've always wanted to stay there, after visiting during a past trip! We lucked out and actually got an AP rate with a water view! YAY!!

Is there a specific building that contains more water views rooms that were likely to end up in? Should I fax a request to the resort for a certain area? I wanted to read all the FAQ but the pages were loading to slow(I have dial up).

We'd love to be near the Dig site because we plan to spend a lot of time at the resort. Do you have any suggestions?

I'm so excited to be going, our room was only 110/a night with tax!!

Thank you!!!

What is the feedback about staying in the Casitas area?
The Casitas is our favorite section of CSR.:D
We stayed in Casitas 2 in April and thought it was one of the best locations!!
We were right by the quiet pool. And we could walk to El Centro with out getting wet when it was raining......there is a covered walkway.
The theming there was better than Cabanas. Cabanas just felt too much like Carribbean Beach.

Our very first stay at CSR was in the casitas section. We loved it. We were in building 4 on the 3rd or 4th floor over looking the lake. It was a great view. Close to the main pool and a 5 min walk to the main building.

When we get our room card at Coronado Springs, do we get more than one? (There will be two of us).

Thanks for the info.

P.S. Your website is amazing! It's the most helpful I've found anywhere about Coronado Springs!

How is CSR about accomadating you if you arrive early? We will probably be there sometime around noon on a Wednesday. If they can't check us in eary, any suggestions on how to spend our time?

We're on our way to CSR next week for the first time - I know at the other resorts, if they have a room available for you at check-in, they get you right in. Otherwise, they will go ahead and check you in and let you know when the room will be ready. We've even gotten our keys at that point but told that the room wouldn't be ready until 3 (or whatever time it will be ready). If you have some time on your hands, you could head to Downtown Disney to shop, stroll the Boardwalk, walk around the CSR, hit the Pepper Market for a bite to eat, or leave your bags with the bellman and change into your swimsuit for a dip in the pool. Personally, our flight typically arrives around 1130 or 12, we get the rental car, DW has to hit Character Warehouse at Belz and that usually puts us at our hotel around 2-230 and we get our room right away.

This year we will be arriving at CSR around 2 or 230, but in previous years we have arrived around 12 or 1 and had no problem getting a room right then.

As everyone has said, if your room isn't read you can leave your luggage with bell services, or in your rental car if you have one and can go to DTD, or just look around CSR its a big and beautiful resort to explore. :)

What CSR does at check-in is if your room is ready, you all set. You get to check-in right away.

If your room is not ready, they will set you up with a key card and anything else you need. Then all you have to do is call a phone number they give you and you can find out if your room is ready and your room number. Then just go to bell services and tell them your room number to get your luggage sent to your room.

While you wait you can explore the resort, have lunch or take a dip in the pool. You also could head off to the parks.

Thanks sistertrip!

Hey Tink,
Just want to say thanks for a great thread, I just finished reading all 22 pages. Also congats on finishing school, you've earned your next trip to CSR!

Ditto on thanks for the thread! I'm visiting CSR for the first time, and not only has the thread been helpful, but it's good to know that the hotel is worth someone "obsessing" over!! Thanks!!

Well, I've made my ressies for 10/24-11/2 (may add an extra night if possible) and I can't wait!

I am really excited about staying here, thanks for all the GREAT info!
