Sorry if this has already been asked, but for the CSR gurus out there, are there any connecting rooms in the Cabanas?

Thanks a lot!
50% of all the rooms at CSR are connecting rooms.

Question?

I read somewhere that Coronado Springs was trying out golf cart type transportation- shuttling people around the resort. Does anyone know if this is true. Trying to find a place close to a bus stop, the pool, market. A few people in the group have a hard time getting around. We are looking into mobility scooters

:sunny: :)

Thank You
CSR offers an internal shuttle system to help guests get around the resort.

Oh my gosh...You guys know everything about CSR!!! This is so great!!! I love looking around in this forum! :)

BTW, thanks for all of your help! :wave2:

Ummm
I am traveling to CSR and just so I know why you guys love it so much (It's our first time to CSR and we're looking forward to it). We want to know the top ten things that attract you to it. Be specific, for example, 1. the Pepper Market seating...I don't know...something like that.

Cant wait to hear what you guys say!

We're very excited to go! CSR looks great! :listen: Tell us your favorite...unknown tips. This may help many people looking to go, are going, or are planning for their next trip back already!

Thanks a lot! :sunny:

Top Ten Reasons We Love CSR (in no particular order):

1. Transportation - Doesn't share with any other resort. Close to all parks. Closest bus stop at MK.

2. Pepper Market - Love the variety and HUGE portions. Best CS deal on the Dining Plan of any place onsite.

3. Front Desk / Guest Services Desk - Hands down, most helpful friendly staff of anywhere we've stayed onsite.

4. Dig Site Pool area - Love the waterfall

5. Only 4 internal bus stops for such a large resort

6. Grounds and landscaping are lovely. Great variety so can lay on a hammock on the beach or stroll through the desert. Beautiful lit up at night

7. Convenient Business Center - Had to overnight a package unexpectedly. Was handled with ease.

8. Can eat in a quiet spot by the lake

9. Resort is quiet for being so large. Never heard any noise from other rooms.

10. Cabana 9B - Awesome location and closest to El Centro, Pepper Market and Bus Stop #1. Short stroll to Dig Site. Lovely, quiet, convenient rooms.

Hope that helps. :)

Great list!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

1. Belgian waffles with banana-nut compote on top from the Pepper Market. :teeth:
2. The look on my kids faces when they saw the dig site, especially the pool with the great slide.
3. The way the general manager of CSR was so helpful in a desperate situation. :crazy2:
3. The way a CM who was cleaning in the lobby stopped and talked directly to my children for about 5 minutes about neat things and made them feel special. :goodvibes
4. The way an unexpected situation required a need to recieve a fax and the proffesional way it was handled and delivered directly to our room. :thanks:
5. The way the resort made me feel that I was definitly at Disney and no where else. :cloud9:
6. The way the CM at check-in decided we needed a great room and to surprise my son with balloons and a card from Mickey unexpectedly for his birthday. They were left in our room when we were at the parks and a pleasant surprise when we returned. This all done without asking or suggestion. :bday:
7.Really strong margaritas! :drinking:
8.Did I mention the Pepper Market, everything we had was good and what a selection!! Stays open late too.
9.The fact that my husband could work out in a great gym without us having to pay deluxe rates. :woohoo:
10.I felt magic there!! pixiedust:

Can i ask, although i think it probably has been asked before, how do you get from check-in to your allocated room (with all our suitcases)? Do they take you in the buggy things!

Although I like CSR, there is just TOOOO much walking! The golf cart was always going in the wrong direction. In 8 days I was never able to catch a ride!

You can bring them yourself (some guests don't like to tip), you can walk and they will bring your bags or you can all go together in a golf cart. It depends if your room is ready when you arrive or if you head to the parks.

We just returned from CSR and, after having stayed at several other resorts (my daughter wants to try all of them) it felt like coming home. This is still our favorite resort of all the mods, and ranks right up there with some of the Deluxes. Our favorite things? Our list, in no order (I couldn't do that if I tried):
1. The absolutely beautiful Casita section when lit up at night. (This time we were given a room in the courtyard of building three, right next to the main building -- my dream location)

2. The great fun we have when we go to the Dig Site -- the pool is great, the slide is great, the playgound for little ones is soo much fun, the arcade, the food ...

3. The buses are NEVER crowded, even the year we stayed there for Christmas.

4. The PM has enough variety to feed my family of picky eaters.

5. The bakery has this thing, it's a croissant filled with pudding, fruit, and topped with whipped cream. It is by far the best dessert I've ever had

6. There's a spa/salon -- only mod with one.

7. The CM's here are the best I've encountered outside of concierge.

8. The entertainment between the lounge and PM is really fun, especially when the little ones get up and dance.

9. The bus trips are not shared with any other resort, and always seem to take less time (except to MK) than the busses from the other resorts.

10. The early morning stroll to get breakfast stuff is sooo peaceful and relaxing, as is the late night stroll, just because I enjoy it so much.

Another great list, thanks for sharing!

I just Googled to find out what conventions are going to be at CSR while we are there at the end of March. Disaster Recovery Journal is hosting a convention March 26 - 29th! It's all about how businesses can prepare for natural and man made disasters! Is it just me, or holding this disaster conference at the Happiest Place on Earth, a little funny? :rotfl2:
It made me giggle. :D

This is my first ever post!! I'm so far behind the times - obviously. I have been surfing the DIS site for days now and you guys are full of information! It's great - just too many decisions to make.

We're going to DW - 1ST TRIP! :yay: in May. We've been to Disneyland before, but I know we ain't seen nothing yet!

We are booked at CSR in a Junior Suite (there's 6 of us).

Can someone tell me more about them? I've heard it's 2 rooms with a connecting door. Very difficult to find any pictures.

Thanks

Pics are old and color schemes have been changed but you'll get the basic idea.

CSR has 3 different types of suites. CSR is the only moderate resort to offer suites. This is to accommodate businessmen and conventioneers who stay at CSR for conventions.

The junior suite is basically two connecting (adjoining) rooms with one of the rooms set up as a living room. We entered through the living room, which included a desk with fax machine, murphy bed, armoir with television and sitting area.

Some have a king bed and some have double beds.

A big advantage is having the 2 bathrooms.

Prices vary depending on season. Prices are listed value, regular, peak & holiday

Jr Suite - double = $290, $335, $395, $435
Jr Suite - king = $310, $360, $425, $455
VIP Suite double - 1 bedroom suite = $580, $635, $705, $775
VIP Suite king - 1 bedroom suite = $580, $635, $705, $775
Executive Suite - 2-bedroom suite = $860, $940, $1,010, $1,140

Most of the suites are in the casita's, but there are a couple exceptions:
All 5 Executive Suites are in Casita's 1. All but one of the VIP Suite's are also located in Casita's 1, the other is in cabana 9B. The Junior Suites are in Casita's 1 & 3, and there are 2 or 3 in the cabana's (One each in 8B, & 9B, and I think there is one in 9A.

UPDATED CSR SUITE INFO :

CSR has 3 different types of suites, 31 junior suites, 10 VIP suites, and 5 executive suites - a total of 46 in all. CSR is the only moderate resort to offer suites. This is to accommodate businessmen and conventioneers who stay at CSR for conventions.

Most of the suites are in the casitas, but there are a few exceptions: All 5 executive suites are in casita 1. All but one of the VIP suite's are also located in casita 1, the other is in cabana 9B. The junior suites are in casitas 1 & 3, and there are 2 or 3 in the cabana's one each in 8B & 9B.

Good news!!

We are officially booked at CSR for the end of Oct!

Buzz, I read on your site that CSR now has the privacy curtains between the bathroom sink area and the rest of the room. Are they in ALL rooms?
That will help alot!

I also read that a soft lines rehab(curtains/bed spreads/carpet) was completed in 2005.Again, does that include all the sections/rooms?
