Buzz, your link for your website comes up as an error. 'URL could not be retrieved'. I would love to view it.
It's working fine for me. Is it your browser? Maybe your security settings won't allow it or the location you are trying it from. My DW can not access it from work.

Here is the link.

I am hoping to be able to book a room at a Fl Res. rate for May 24-29 at CSR. If I am able to get a rate for this resort where should we stay? I don't think that the cabanas "does it" for me. I just don't like the looks of that section. So I am torn between the casitas and ranchos. We only care about being close to a bus stop. Really we are by ourselves, so location matters only when it comes to romance and quiet. I figured I should request a upper floor, but what building and where? What would be quietest on such a busy weekend? TIA

IMHO I felt that the Cabanas meet the bill quite nicely for Romance and quiet better than the other areas. I thought the Cabanas were more carribean than southwest, which we like. Buildings in cabanas are only two stories for the most part which cuts down on the number of people.

We did not like the Ranchos because of the landscaping...thought it was quite sterile and desert like.

We have stayed at the Casitas and it was just because of the location and closeness to the Restaurants. The Casitas are more motel like and less resort like.... if that makes sense.

There are tons of pictures on BUZZ's site which should help you make a decision. Whatever you decide I am sure you will have a great time....enjoy

I love this thread! I wish our trip was tomorrow instead of April!

Anyways, I know my kids would get a kick if mousekeeping would do special things in our room. Have you found that if you tip a little more that happens or is it more the luck of the draw on who you get? I was going to print up the MK envelopes to put the cash in and I am hoping that will help some. Also, what is normal tipping for a Jr Suite with 6 people?

I recommend Casita 3!

Is there a website where you can check the conventions scheduled for this year?
No, I wish there was. I just do a Google search using "Coronado Springs Resort Convention May 2006" or any combination of these words and change the date.

Thanks, Buzz. That's what I did, too, and there are a few for Sept., but not during my week yet (10th-15th). I am not sure if that is bad news or good news. I sure would like to have those buses to ourselves.

I didn't think to check for any conventions! I just Blingo'd it and found a convention the week we are going to be there (1st week of April). Oh well, maybe that will keep our buses empty!

CSR is a convention resort and I am sure that most weeks there are multiple conventions going on. But that is were they spend most of their time too.

The one place you will see them is in the Pepper Market. We usually eat an earlier lunch or dinner to avoid the big lines.

There were conventions at CSR the week we were there, 9/25-10/4/05. The only problems, and I use that word in the mildest sense, were a longer line at the PM and an excess of garbage (beer cans and cigarette butts) at the Casitas quiet pool one day. The garbage was quickly cleaned up by staff and the wait for PM wasn't excessive at all.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but for the CSR gurus out there, are there any connecting rooms in the Cabanas?

Thanks a lot!

Question?

I read somewhere that Coronado Springs was trying out golf cart type transportation- shuttling people around the resort. Does anyone know if this is true. Trying to find a place close to a bus stop, the pool, market. A few people in the group have a hard time getting around. We are looking into mobility scooters

:sunny: :)

Thank You

@laxfamiliy52 : i think you can get connecting rooms in each part of the hotel

@ cvns1 : yes it is true. there are these golf carts that go around the hotel all the time and take you on a ride if you just wait for them. when i was there in summer though i had to wait quite long for them so i only rode on one once and did the rest by foot ;)
