The *NEW* Coronado Springs FAQ Thread

Recently there have been posts on the resort board mentioning a path between BB or the All-stars & CSR. Is this true, or are they talking about the sidewalks on the street that connects to BB? During our stay in April the only transportation problem we had was from BB back to the resort--it took 45 minutes! I probably wouldn't mind walking that short distance if it were possible. Love CSR & will be back there in November!

I just modified our reservations for November. We will be staying at CSR for 3 nights @ $85 a night and POP the other 3 for $55 a night. Now that I have read a lot of this wonderful thread, I am totally excited to try CSR :hyper: I am thinking I will request Cabanas. Not sure which building yet. At first I thought 9a, but won't now since it is a smoking building. We will be using a car a lot, so want to be close to the parking lot and the Dig Site. I know my kids will just love the Dig Site. ::yes::

The topic of the path has come up many times in the past. It never has been determined if it really exists ot not.. I can not see any sidewalks or walk signals along the road. I imagine it would be quite a hike to BB as well as the All Stars.

we just stayed at the CSR and we stayed in casita 1 on the 4th floor. I dont remember it being a smoking one as I always ask for nonsmoking. it was a garden view and really nice. I always request casita 1 as it is close to the pepper market. we have stayed in the standard room, suites and executive suite. they all are nice. I think once my daughter and I were put in the cabanas and that was nice to walk out and hang out in the sand and hammocks. its our favorite resort and 3 out of 4 times this year will be staying here. Only reason we didnt the 4th time is the rate was sold out. All the CMs were so friendly and helpful throughout our visits here.

We have recently changed our reservation for Christmas Week from Pop Century to Coronado Springs. In talking with Disney on the phone they mentioned that the vanity has two sinks, everything I have read online mentions only one. Does anyone know the real deal? Also, how big are the safes in the room? Can a small laptop fit?

Thanks!

We just got back 4 days ago. We had one sink. I don't think the safe would fit a laptop. My pocketbook just barely fit in it. We loved CSR! Had a great time!

Thanks so much for the quick responses on the room and the safe. I was wondering, at the front desk (main lobby) do they have safe deposit boxes that can hold a small laptop?

Thanks!

Does the shop (or anywhere else) at Coronado Springs offer a facility for either transferring digital photos to a CD or print the photos from the digital memory card for you?
Thanks

Just wanted to let everyone know that as of 9/28 they hadn't put refrigerators in the rooms. Still a $10 charge if you want one.

We were there from Sept 10th - 18th. Asked for a refrigerator and said we heard they were eventually going in all the rooms for free. We had one delivered and were told there was no charge for it. And there wasn't!

How cool :cool1: Any other information you would like to share about your recent visit to CSR? I am going there for the first time in November and very excited!!:hyper:

PlutosFriend, This was our first trip to CSR and we loved it! We stayed at Casitas 3. We were at the end that was close to El Centro, so that was good. It was a walk to the main pool, but we spent most of our pool time at the Casitas pool, which was quite nice. Ask me any questions you want and I'll try to answer them. I am certainly not an expert on CSR, but I'll give you a great review on it!

Hummm, that's strange Sarahj. I guess the cast member I talked to didn't know this. She said they were $10 a day. She has only worked there for like a few months. I guess no one had filled her in. There were alot of people buying coolers the night of lockdown at the resort. I would think if the fridges were free they would have tried to get one or maybe there wasn't enough for the resort to go around. This would have been great if they had already had them in the room by the time Jeane had gone through. Oh well!!!

Would anyone reccomend Coronado Springs for a honeymoon? If so, which section? We'd both like it to be fairly quiet (love kids but it is our honeymoon).

I'm thinking of staying two nights at Coronado and two nights at Carribean Beach.

Maybe it was because we mentioned that we knew they were eventually going into all the rooms, but we definately got it for free for 8 nights!

Hi -

I'm not sure if this has already been addresses/answered, so I apologize in advance.

I read that there are about 60 king rooms. Are these scattered throughout the resort area, or are they concentrated in one particular building/area?

I am booked in a king room from 11/24 thru 11/29. I am hoping to get something fairly close to the lobby/pepper market area and was just curious about the locations of the king rooms.

Thanks in advance,
Laura

I would recommend CSR for a honeymoon, it is a beautiful resort. I would probably just stay 4 nights at CSR instead of splitting between CSR and CBR since they are both moderates. If you stay in the Cabana section you will have a beach front with hammocks, very relaxing. That is where we stayed our last trip. I have also heard people say they like the Casita section, which is very pretty. CSR is a very nice resort!

I think CSR would be great for a honeymoon and I agree with Mercy. Stay the 4 days at Coronado Springs. You might want to pick up a copy of Walt Disney World for Couples by Rick and Gayle Perlmutter. From the books I've seen, it's the best for couples and gives nice suggestions for romantic things to do at Disney. It's also very honest about ride/event descriptions.

My husband and I have stayed in both the Cabanas and Casitas. Casitas 1 is very close to the main building but the Cabanas have the hammocks and beach and are closer to the main pool. It just depends what you're looking for. Our most recent trip was Oct. 03 and the parks were busier than we're used to. However, you'd never know it from the hotel room - no enthusiastic Disneyers (or conventioners) waking you up early in the morning.

Have fun!
