AAA rate on a waterview room (which was all that was available at this rate) for May/05 is 156.00 a night, including taxes. since it was still a little cheaper than a standard room at regular rate i decided to book it and hope for something better when the AP rates come out.

Apparently they come out randomly when they have your email. I originally booked our trip through the website, so that may have been where they got mine. But, I've also seen other codes/rates that had the same dollar amount.

Has anyone been to CSR in the last few weeks and has any new information on the free fridges? We are going in December and hope they will be installed by then.

We went in September. They were not in the rooms at that time, but we asked for one and said we heard they were being put in all the rooms. We got one and were not charged for it. We had a great time at CSR. It was our first visit there and it was great!

There was no refrigerator in my room and I requested one and they brought it right up free of charge. And while I am reporting, I must say that I enjoyed this trip more than any other trip there and the reason was - I was in Cabana 8A and they have redone the rooms and the decor is better with a beautiful carpet but the BEST of all was the WONDERFUL BEDS. Oh my gosh - I slept like a baby!!! High and sooooooo comfortable. YEAH!!!!!!

I have a wonderful boss who sent me and my new hubby to WDW. It was supposed to be for a convention, but she used that as a cover so she could say it was a business expense. We attended the free meals provided by the convention.

We didnt mind the walk to El Centro as the weather was wonderful. Ate 4 meals at the Pepper Market and found it to be delightful. The waffles were my favorite. The Dig Site is beautiful although it did get a bit crowded when the conventioners were done for the day. Would reccomend this resort!!

he BEST of all was the WONDERFUL BEDS.

I have to agree on the beds. When I was there in August they were putting new beds in the rooms. I was so comfortable.

It is soooooo nice to "find" this board. I looked for it last week, but didn't see it. Of all the resorts, this one seemed to get the least attention (so I thought). Its nice to read all the :lovestruc love CS. Thanks OP!!!:love1:

Just got back from a great stay at CSR! We had a fridge in our room & we saw many more in the parking lot being unpacked. It was a good size & also looked very nice-it comes in a cabinet that matches the room decor.

We just got back and LOVED CSR! We were in Ranchos 6A, and we too had a fridge (hidden inside a cabinet). Our mousekeeper was ~awesome~ and left us a towel mickey on our second to last day. Can't wait to stay at CSR again, but hopefully we can get into Casitas or Cabanas. After long days at the park, the walk to El Centro was a bit far!

Theme park buses go:
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas
1 - El Centro

Downtown Disney buses, as well as Park Exit buses go:
1 - El Centro
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas

CSR buses go in this order so that guests can hop on board a theme park bus and take it to the main building. They can then hop on a DTD bus to get back to their rooms.

I will be requesting a specific building when I make my reservation but I am fully aware that this is a request only and can not be guaranteed. I have heard that Coronado Springs provides transportation via cart’s/taxi’s to guests. If anyone has information regarding this service I would really appreciate a reply. Prolong walking by a memeber of our party would put a real damper on this trip.

Cheryl,
We were there in September for our first CSR visit. They did have extended golf carts (2-3 rows of seats) that drove around the grounds and would drive you to any section or to El Centro. They just kept circling around. We loved it there and won't hesitate to go back!

Thanks, that was great news. My husband suffered an injury years ago that has rendered him disabled and prolong walking would put a VERY BIG damper on this trip. He sat out the last two trips to DW, (we try to go every 4 years). Since my daughter is 16 she may not want to go with us when she is 20 so he really wanted to participate in this one. With all the walking in the parks the last thing I want him to have to deal with is more long walks at the hotel. One less thing to worry about, especially if our requests can not be filled. Where in CSR did you stay? I love the looks of the Rancho’s but because of their location I was going to try to shy away from them. Any other tips from a veteran would be greatly appreciated.

Cheryl,
We stayed in Casitas 3. We were vry close to El Centro, so we thought it was a great location. We used the Casitas pool more than the main pool, so walking around to the other side wasn't a big deal. We really liked it there, much more than we liked CBR. Our room had a king bed (which we requested) and was quite comfortable. We really like the Pepper Market. No problems at all with check in - went quickly and smoothly. Also, the mousekeeping was great. Didn't seem to matter what time we came back to our room, it was always ready for us! Have a great time!
