Hi Everyone I am so excited we are going to stay at CS for our trip in Dec, we will be there from the 17th-26th. :bounce: We changed resorts 3 times yesterday before finally deciding on the CS. Dh really wanted High Speed Internet access and the extra room over a value. We got a great Military rate of 79 a night and were able to get 3 rooms, we have extended family travelling with us. We think it will be great to have so many recreation opportunites on property because we don't plan on going to the parks the 24th thru the 26th because of the crowds!

Longsx3.... have a great time! You will love CSR, it is a beautiful resort!

epcotfan-I don't know if I ever thanked you for the screensaver download. It's a great reminder of our April stay at our new favorite resort! Thanks again!

So glad I found this thread! Lots of information and I love EpcotFan's website. Thanks!

Just thinking of something today.

I always buy the refillable mugs. Since the CMs get drinks for you when dining at the PM do they refill your mugs for you when dining inside?

(Sounds weird but I'm not crazy about various hands touching my mug - no less the possibiity of switching my mug accidentally with someone else - even if they are in my family).

I know the gratuity is added on but can I refill my own mug?

Thanks

We were there in August and requested a fridge from housekeeping. The person on the phone said we would be charged $10.00 a day which we expected. This was prior to knowing fridges would be complimentary. Anyhow we never were charged for the fridge. Your best bet is to ask once you check in on the current policy.

We stayed at Pop last year and they had frozen cokes and frozen blue icees. Any of these here? Also, how about lemonade? My youngest doesn't drink pop.

At the refillable mug beverage station they didn't have any of those drinks.
They do have a beverage counter that sells bottled drinks (juice, gator aid type drinks, water, etc...). I was able to buy Minute Maid apple juice there. I've bought slush type drinks at the Beverage counter, but I don't recall them having the frozen blue slush. Didn't see frozen coke.

Check my website for more information by clicking the "refillable mugs" link.

I'm so excited, I just booked 10 days 11 nights at the CSR for next Aug. Asked DS son where if wanted to stay and he said same place as we were last year, Yea WDW and CSR here we come, almost a year away but well worth the wait.

We're going to be staying at CSR for the first time in December and we're really excited. We won't have a car so will be relying 100% on the Disney transport, also we will want to make use of the restaurants, can anyone recommend the best location for the main building and bus stop? Also, what is the first bus stop for pick up to go to the parks?
Thanks

The closest building for a bis stop and main building would probably be Cabanas 9B which is right next to El Centro and bus stop #1, but I read somewhere that bus stop #1 is the last bus picked up and bus stop #2 (closest to Casitas #4) is the first to be picked up. I requested Cabanas 8B because once you factor in the pool, that building is right in the middle, but if I were only interested in a bus stop and the main building then I would ask for Cabanas 9B or maybe Casitas 1. If you need a smoking room the your only options are Cabanas 9A or Casitas 1 (floors 3 & 4). Also, I believe Casitas 1 is the only building that you can walk from your room to El Centro and be sheltered from the weather (covered walkway, maybe). Hope that helps and have fun!

We stayed in Cabana 9B in August, PERFECT location! Regarding the buses, we never had a long wait for a bus either at the resort or at the parks. We used Stop #1 and many times we were the first to be picked up and dropped off.

Well actually, I'm not sure #1 was the first to get picked up, because if there were people on the bus it wasn't many, and it wasn't like you saw the bus drive by and not stop for us first. So I guess when they come in and pick up #2, 3, 4, then 1, you don't see the route the bus comes in on so you don't feel like you were passed by.... does that make sense  There were a couple of times we were dropped off last, but it really wasn't that big a deal.

It was explain to me by the bus driver that bus stop #1 is last for pu's/drop off. The reason is that so if you are at bus stop #2, #3, or #4, you can catch the bus to El Centro and get off there without walking there. This is how it was explained to us. We stayed in building 9b and it was never a problem and liked the location.

Well I can only tell you from experience that when coming back from the parks, many times #1 was the first stop.

Theme park buses go:
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas
1 - El Centro

Downtown Disney buses, as well as Park Exit buses go:
1 - El Centro
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas

CSR buses go in this order so that guests can hop on board a theme park bus and take it to the main building. They can then hop on a DTD bus to get back to their rooms.

Hello all: does anyone know if there are junior suites in every section of CSR (casitas, ranchos, cabanas)? Thanks.
