I have stayed many places at Disney, but I have never stayed at the CSR. We are going for family trip 12/30 to 1/5/09. We were going to stay at the Dolphin, but I think we may switch to the CSR. It looks like a great place to be!

I have been spending more time reading the boards and would love to have some definite answers about the 2008 Dining Plan.

When I went to DW in 2006 I got this plan for both my 9-year old son and myself and was thrilled with it! I had minimal out of pocket expense for food. I did not ever pay anything extra for a tip ANYWHERE I ate!

So, when booking my trip two weeks ago, I automatically told my AAA travel agent that I wanted the Dining Plan again added into my trip and just assumed it would be the same as last time.

But, now I am seeing everywhere talk about the tip is not included for the Disney Dining Plan..............

Can someone please tell me if I will in fact have to pay the 10% gratuity at Pepper Market while using the Dining Plan or not. And if this answer is NO, is it because the Disney Dining Plan refers to the Pepper Market as a counter service meal?

And is it correct that I will have to pay out of pocket expense for gratuity if I eat at any table service restaurant, but will not have to for the dinner shows?

Any help clarifying this will be GREATLY appreciated!

Gratuity is extra at all TS locations. The amount is at your discretion.

I'm not sure about Pepper Market, or dinner shows.

I have been told by some returning from CSR that the tip was included at Pepper Market and they did NOT have to pay it. But you will pay tip at all TS restaurants.

Hi All!

We went Dec 9-15 and stayed at CSR! I will tell you we had a GREAT room and thank you BUZZ for your tips on room choices!!! We had Cabanas 1st Floor 8A, corner room right by the main pool. This was great for the kids going to the pool and loved our view! I am hoping to return again in December! Working on the hubby! We decorated our window and we had 2 windows being a corner room. My girls and I enjoyed decorating it! I am hoping some codes come out for us to go back. Here are some shots I took! I LOVE this Resort!

Sorry they are small. I am really confused as to why they are small. Anyone know? Is it something I have to do on Photobucket to make larger?

What time did you check out on the 15th? I saw someone with a decorated window right where yall stayed when we were there... wonder if it was yalls room?

My children are looking forward to Blizzard Beach more than anything on our trip so I'm wondering about how conveniently it really is to get there?

You can't really walk it but yes, they're very close to each other.
It's probably a 10 minute bus ride (depending on which stop you get on) or a 5-10 minute drive.

Actually you can walk it. There is a sidewalk across the street from CSR that goes all the way to McDonalds. You can see it on google earth or any of those live maps.

Darn. BB is closed for refurb for the majority of our stay. We will be going to Typhoon Lagoon. DD and DS have told me we're in for some interesting fun there. It's a lot farther away, but what the heck.

Can't wait... arriving at CSR one month from today!!

I booked the CSR for our New Years trip. I am so excited! This is a surprise for the kids for Christmas. I booked a Jr. suite for the trip. Does anyone now if all the Jr. suites have a water view or do I need to add that as a request? Also, has anyone been there in Dec/Jan? How are the Decorations at the resort?
