Hi
can you get hot chocolate for your refillabe mug.
also are they still doing the two sizes of mugs???
thanks

I don't know about hot chocolate, but you can get iced coffee at Siesta's! Last time a great CM made a fresh pot of coffee for me every afternoon (temps that week were in the 90's, and they weren't selling much coffee). He filled my refillable mug with ice, and then poured coffee over it. A great summer treat, and it satisfied my caffiene need as well!:rotfl:

Not sure about the sizes anymore but you can get coffee, tea, iced tea and soda. I guess you can make iced coffee since you can have coffee.

My wife and I are coming down from May 16th through May 25th to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We are going to be staying at CSR. We were going to stay at CBR, but got news of the pool constrution. After finding Buzz's site we decided to stay at CBR. (Our anniversary is in August, but after doing our honeymoon is August we wanted to avoid the heat and humidity). I have a few questions.

What's it like down there in May?

Which is the best place to stay the Casitas or the Cabanas? We don't want to stay in the Ranchos because of the long walk to the main building.

I know check in is at 3, but are they pretty good about letting early check in. We probably won't get there until around 1pm.

How clean are the rooms? Rooms not being clean seems to be a meantioned several times:scared1: .

Depending on what you want to be close to, here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge (most convenient location and most preferred).

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building (closest to the pool).

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool (and is the old smoking optional building).

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 1 is attached to the main building and is very close to the restaurants.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. Close to bus stop #2.

Make your room request as soon as you make your reservation. It’s never too early.

Thanks Buzz. We are already booked. We are going from May 16th through May 25th. I originally requested to be close to the main building and a King size bed (we have a King at home and can't seem to adjust to anything smaller). Both the Casitas and the Cabanas look great. It's a tough choice. Which has more plam trees? My wife loves palm trees and being from IL you can see why.

Well, we're BACK!!!
I was determined not to stay at CSR again because of our bad experiences with our dietary restrictions and Pepper Market
BUT we loved the grounds, loved the pool, loved the shop, loved the transport, and loved the price...so we are sucking it up to prepare for the dreaded Pepper Market as minimally as possible. I know we will love our stay there! Even with our bad treatment at PM last time, we still had a great time and we loved the resort all in all!
This time I'll bring my own breakfast food and book ADR at parks for breakfast as well. We'll be better prepared (because of our food restrictions)

We'll be doing another grand gathering over the holidays again, so I'll just re-subscribe here so that I can keep up to date on any changes :)

bean, you know that CSR now has the Rix Cafe so you can get you meals there and eat outside. Maybe you won't have to endure the PM afterall.

Thanks Buzz,
I didn't know about Rix Cafe. It must not have been open when we were there last Nov/Dec, but hopefully that will make our lives a bit easier! :goodvibes

I am also going to call the Food department (i have their extension) before we go and try to get something ironed out before we get there. I just had too high of expectations of how they could handle our restrictions, I think!

Thanks for the info! See, first day back on the thread and I already learn something new! :thumbsup2

I think we are going to try for Cabana 9B and then if we can't get that Casita 3. Casita 3 seems to have some great views of the courtyard and since we opted for a king bed we don't get a water view.

You will love the CSR. Us fellow Illinoisians (I'm still not sure that is a word :lmao: ) will be staying at the CSR for the 7th time this September (and wish we were going today before the next snowstorm hits us). We have stayed in Casitas 3 twice--very nice area. We now stay in 4 or 5 because it is closer to the Quiet Pool and the Spa which I use while we are there.

Hope you have a great time!

We went to Disney in April-May 2003 and I have to say it was HOT! It was 88-92 everyday and humid. We expected it to not be so hot, but it was the same as being there in August! maybe this isn't the norm, but be prepared!:thumbsup2

Hi buzz! I was reading my passporder(think i spelled it wrong) book and it said that you can walk to BB. Is that true? Where is it and how long is the walk?
i can't wait until i can go back CS. I loved it there. It is the only resort I want to stay at.
