You will love the CSR. Us fellow Illinoisians (I'm still not sure that is a word :lmao: ) will be staying at the CSR for the 7th time this September (and wish we were going today before the next snowstorm hits us). We have stayed in Casitas 3 twice--very nice area. We now stay in 4 or 5 because it is closer to the Quiet Pool and the Spa which I use while we are there.

Hope you have a great time!

Thanks. We can't wait. It will be only our second trip to WDW and our first time on property. This time it's all Disney. Last time we stayed off property and did some non-Disney stuff. Orlando has a lot to offer, but let's be honest Disney trumps it all! We have been planning this trip since we got back from our honeymoon. Is it May yet???

We plan on using the spa for massages. In fact I booked them this morning for the day we leave for home. That way we should be nice and relaxed for our trip home. What a way to finish a Disney Vacation!

We went to Disney in April-May 2003 and I have to say it was HOT! It was 88-92 everyday and humid. We expected it to not be so hot, but it was the same as being there in August! maybe this isn't the norm, but be prepared!:thumbsup2
That happened to me in November. 90º in November, I was shocked. But normally late April, early May is a great time fo year.

Hi buzz! I was reading my passporder(think i spelled it wrong) book and it said that you can walk to BB. Is that true? Where is it and how long is the walk?
i can't wait until i can go back CS. I loved it there. It is the only resort I want to stay at.
You can walk. There is a sidewalk across the street from CSR that goes down to BB, it actually goes all the way to McDonalds. It's about 1 mile. But with all the walking / stair climbing you have to do at BB, it's easier to use the bus transportation. The fuzzy object in the lower right corner of the picture is the parking lot and entrance to BB. You can see portions of the sidewalk in the picture.

 I just wanted to thank you for all the info you provide! Even though we aren't going until December, I can't wait because you give such great descriptions of everything! Going for New year's requires some serious planning and you have made the choice of resort an easy one!:flower3:

Hi Buzz,

I was wondering if you could assist me please.

Last trip to Disney DD and I stayed at a DTD hotel. She desperately wanted to tan and I found out that the CSR had a tanning bed! (I hate the things..but she was elated)
Well, it put the bug in me to stay at CSR for our next trip and I'm booked for Oct 2008!

Question: The tanning bed was in the exercise room...is that where the massages are done too? If so it's not really a spa setting is it?

Thanks in advance
rosie

I don't know about a tanning bed. But when I have had my massages, I have been in one of two (or was it three) private rooms with music, candles, etc/

For massages you have two options, in the privacy of your hotel room (cost more) or in one of the rooms katmark mentions in the above post.

The tanning room, picture on my website is in the hallway leading to the fitness center next to the salon.

We will be arriving early in the am, even if it takes us 2 hours from the airport we will be at CSR around 9am. We know it's extremely unlikely our room will be ready. Is there somewhere the kids can change into swimsuits so that they can swim and we can hang out by the pool while we wait? Also are towels available in the pool area?:cool2:

Yes, there are changing rooms by the Dig Site and by the Quiet Pool by the Casitas 4/5 in the Spa area. And there are towels at the pools.

I've been wanting to ask this question for a while but held back because I didn't want to sound stupid or like I have an alcohol problem. But I really wanna know!! :)
I've seen pics that show you can buy bottles of beer at CSR but do they sell other stuff too? In particular Jack Daniels? Or should I just bring a bottle with me? TIA
(I finally discovered what "TIA" means, after reading tons of posts and thinking there were several people on here named "Tia":lmao: )

No judgment here. Yes, they sell liquor at the counter in the back of Panchitos.

Does this hotel have a nice kiddie pool? I will be traveling with a 1 & 4 yr old. How long of a bus ride to the MK? Are the rooms decent sized? We stayed last time at the POP

CSR has a kiddie pool at the main pool area along with a playground and sand box area. POP rooms are 260 square feet and CSR rooms are 314 square feet. It's about a 10 min ride to MK and 5 mins to the other parks.

I wanted to ask has anyone ever had any problems with using the Magical Express? In paticular their luggage service. Will it arrive in our room in a timely manner (within 2-3 hours) after getting there. My wife and I get a little paraniod about our luggage. We have TSA approved locks, but we always are a little worried until we see our luggage on the other end.
