The new cast of Dancing With The Stars

Tony almost always gets the duds. Why is that? Is it the stars who pick their partners?

Cheryl is fabulous.:thumbsup2

Yes, pretty much. The stars can ask for specific partners. Then it's by a hierarchy of who is the bigger star, so they'd most likely get the pro dancer they asked for.

I think Melissa & Sherry both asked for Maks. Melissa got Maks & Sherry was quite happy with his (nicer) brother, who was probably her second choice.

Maria is on a gossip tabloid show. So she can be used to promote DWTS on that show too, so she gets to choose Derek.

I thought the dance duel was very even........which tells me they do use past dances when they decide. I'm glad they kept Roshon.

I know some of you don't like Melissa but I think they underscored them last night and I think that helped them get votes. I saw a poll on another site and over 60% thought team paso won.

I thought Louis' couple was the best, I guess that is why I'm not a judge! ;)

Oh please, the only reason Melissa & Maks were not in the bottom two is because some people think Maks is hot and vote for that. They could care less about how well his partner does, they just want to see him, hopefully without his shirt.

While I can't say I'm disappointed to see Jaleel gone, it should have been Melissa.

I am sure some people are voting for Mak but if Melissa hadn't improved I would not still be voting for them. I liked their dance last night, so the lifts weren't perfect I still enjoyed the dance.

Once again the professional dancer saves the day for the "star". Melissa is there because of Maks. Just like Hope Solo and Maks.

In past seasons, I've voted for Maks, IF there was still other dancers that could have gone also.

Just like, this year, I kept voting for Gladys as other weak dancers could have gone instead. We all knew none of them would have made it this far. When she went last week, it was definitely her time to go. The week before would have been fine too.

Melissa is the weakest dancer. While I'm glad to see Jaleel the Heel go, it would have been unfair if any of the other dancers had gone instead of Melissa. We are down to the best dancers. It's time to start voting for the BEST dancers.

Yup. That's how I vote too. I'll vote for the Pro as long as there are worse dancers to be voted off. This week a better dancer was voted off, but I'm OK with that. Jaleel was a better dancer, but he had too much baggage so I was not sad to see him go. I did not vote for my M-M-Maks this week. I voted for Donald (Go Pack Go!) and Roshon. Apparently, I need to call from my DD's phone too.

After seeing Jaleel on Jimmy Kimmel last night, I now understand why so many of you don't like him. There's something about him that rubs me the wrong way.

When I watched his facial expressions and body language, I saw his seething anger. You can tell he has a hair-trigger temper. He is so evasive when someone brings up "the fight" -- OWN IT, Jaleel.

I was a fan early on, but no more. B-bye Jaleel.

Due to the magic of YouTube and the show posting it for all of us: :happytv:

As much as I don't particularly like Jaleel, I watched those clips looking for the "seething anger" that you were talking about. I just didn't see it. I saw facial expressions where he went from a flat expression to a full smile, but I think that is part of his schtick. In your defense, I did see him grab Jimmy's tie when they were showing him choking up over his "Mickey Mouse" dance. That was clearly inappropriate. I think he has more of an impulse control problem than an anger problem.

...it was a nice reunion for Kym and David, though....:thumbsup2

I didn't see the seething anger either. Maybe it loses something on a smaller computer screen. However, I did think he was being incredibly phony & desperation reeked off of him. He also didn't DENY that something happened. He said, "It was what it was." Whatever that means. :confused3

Kim, too, was kind of phony, with a fake laugh, pretending to have a great time with Jaleel. :p

It's over Kym! :yay: You don't have to deal with him again till right before the finals.

Well, I saw something that I interpreted as anger. Of course I could be wrong, maybe I'm trying to read into something that isn't there. One thing I believe we can all agree on: there is definitely something going on with him that turns people off! ;)

::yes::

I DVR's it & haven't had a chance to watch yet...was there any explanation of why the DWTS logo was shown for several seconds during Roshan & Chelsea's dance on Monday?
