And yet Inside Out 2 just became the first 2024 movie to hit 1 billion dollars worldwide. So maybe ease up on the hyperbole.

I am not knocking the movie, but 1 billion dollars at today's inflated prices does not mean it is a world wide phenomenon. I take box office figures today with a grain of salt. What needs to be looked at is net profit adjusted for inflation.

I think "sold more tickets than Barbie" probably qualifies. In fairness Top Gun beat it out in '22, but it still would have been #2 that year.
