We’re sailing on the Disney Destiny in early December and as an anniversary/Christmas gift for my husband, I’m surprising him by upgrading us to Concierge (as it’s just the two of us).

Aside from trying to snag a cabana at Lighthouse Point, what are Must Have reservations or activities I should ask the Concierge staff to reserve for us?

Is Enchante worth the cost, or should we just do a Palo Dinner and Brunch? We are now Platinum so get one Palo meal for free, and my husband loves breakfast/brunch.

Can Concierge request specific dining rotations?

Thanks in advance!

Following for responses mostly. I'm supposed to send our first concierge request email tomorrow (or I guess midnight tonight) and I'm not sure what all I should be requesting. I've heard we can request dining rotations so I'm going to add that and see.

Yes, you can request a specific dining rotation (of the options they have. You can't just build your own). We have done so in the past and it's always been met.

Enchante is great, but unless you're a foodie I'm not sure it's "worth it." It's a great food and a great experience, but also a high price. Palo is awesome, I'd go there every day and twice on Sunday lol (though actually not, that's wayyyy too much food! 🤣 )

If there's any beverage tastings you'd like, those are also good to request as those can fill up fast.

Is it possible to go to Palo more than once if there is availability? Does being concierge help with that?

Guests may only sign up for 1 brunch and 1 dinner at Palo in advance, plus a Palo dinner on the first night. Once you are onboard, however, you can book additional Palo meals if there is availability. Onboard Concierge should be able to help with that.

Did the Concierge send you a list of advance booking options? Our booking date is coming soon and I haven’t a full list yet. I assume Destiny will have at least one unique on board offering, for example, Wish has Olaf’s Royal Picnic (which is delightful if you like Olaf, but I believe it requires having a child in your group).

We personally love Enchante and have done it every time (twice) we sailed the Wish, but we do enjoy elaborate 5+ course menus with limited control, like you would find at most 2 and 3* Michelin restaurants. We always prefer Remy to Palo, though I do think Palo is quite nice on the Dream/Fantasy, we still haven’t tried it on Wish because there are not enough meals to do both.

The Treasure has an Adventure Tea with Royalty, and I’ve joked that I have to borrow one of my friends children so that *I* can attend the Tea.

Why Disney doesn’t offer an Adult Adventure Tea with Characters is beyond me, because I would absolutely be down with that. I have remained forever bummed that I didn’t have the money when my kids were of an age and they still had the Wonderland Tea Party at the Grand Floridian.

you can do palo dinner twice..as long as you go the first night. but you will have to pay the $55 difference the second time per person.

It's not unusual to be able to book Palo for a second night - or even more nights. However you need to do this on board. Stop at the podium when you first dine there and ask about availability.

I got an email on what I could book a week out for our Treasure cruise. We just booked today, and the Adventure Tea was on the list in the email they sent out. The Treasure tea option was not available to book for a bit after it started sailing, maybe 3 months though so the Destiny might end up similar.

Concierge can request specific dining rotations, so you can attend your favorite (or potential favorite on the Destiny) more often.

I would personally stick with two Palo reservations instead of Enchante, especially if one is covered by the platinum credit.

Check with the concierge to see if there are any princess, superhero, or other character gatherings you can reserve in advance.

I believe you can request the drink tastings and classes in advance through them, but I'm not 100% sure. These are always great.

Yes, you can reserve beverage tastings ahead of time. The only gatherings you can book ahead of time are Royal Gathering and whatever the 'tea' is on your ship (Olaf's Picnic, Royal Tea, etc.).

I thought concierge could also do the superhero gatherings, but that might be wrong or outdated.

All right, I've drafted my requests email! My window opens midnight Saturday morning. How long after the window opens do you typically hear back from Concierge on when everything is booked?

We sailed on the Treasure in concierge in May. We did Enchante for brunch and Palo for dinner. I would suggest that you take advantage of the dining menu in the concierge lounge which changes each day. I felt the prepared items were as good as Palo and even Enchante to some degree with the added expense. You have a wonderful view over the front of the ship and open bar from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. we are sailing concierge on the Destiny in February and will likely take more advantage of this dining option.
