Just chiming in here because I follow this thread closely and at the moment I'm feeling quite grateful and excited for our upcoming trip!

When did this go into place? I faxed to All Star Movies this past March and got exactly what I asked for.

Technically the official policy changed about 1.5-2 years ago. Every once in a while you might get a nice/bored CM who looks at it, but the policy for the resorts is that they are to throw them away without looking, except for POR and POFQ.

Well, it's now official!!

We are going to CBR for our 8th stay, November 7-14, 2015. Just made the reservation this morning.

I've seen different rumors about this in different areas. According to Venomhatch's fax thread, you can still make fax requests to CBR. I figure it won't hurt. I'm going to fax a request in about 3 days before our arrival.

My first request is Jamaica, water view, which is noted on my online check in. Since there are only a handful of king bed rooms that fall under that, I'm adding some more detail in the fax. And yes, I just saw the Venomhatch thread that said as of last week they were still accepting faxes. I arrive in 6 days, so I'm sending it right now!

Just made it back to the room and the rain is coming down! Gotta love that Jamaica is the first bus drop off! We've had a great day at AK, and now time for a rest. I'll get some more pictures emailed out this evening of the food court options and gift shop.

Does anyone know what time the hottub is open at?

Is peanut butter available in the foodcourt? I crash if I eat straight carbs in the morning so peanut butter for my oatmeal/pastry would be awesome.

We will need a cab for one early morning ADR. Do we need to go over to Custom House? Is it possible to get a cab to collect us at our building?

On our last stay at CBR (2012) there was PB at the food court. We used a cab (Mears) for an ADR at the Yacht Club for dinner one evening and it picked us up in the circular drive in front of our building (Martinique 25). We called Mears directly from our room & the cab arrived in less then 10 minutes.
Not sure about the hot tub hours... just know it was open every time we went to the main pool.

I am so happy that queen beds are going into CBR. That was my only concern when we booked for free dining in December ..... How to sleep with two teenagers an two adults in the double beds. Hopefully we can score refurb room! I wonder if those bathroom divider doors are heavy and make loud noise when put together? I get up earlier than rest of family and liked the curtain option we had in other resorts as I didn't wake up rest of family as I got ready. Also wondering how the wifi is at this resort?

If the divider doors are like the ones at CSR they are a bit heavy and loud when closed if you don't go pretty slow and careful as they touch. I was able to do it, but the kids clonked them together most times. I like the doors though as opposed to the curtains for light and sound blocking.

I am not sure about the cab situation, but the hottub and main pool is open 9am-11pm. I have not seen any peanut butter this week. I have looked for it every morning! Plenty of butter and jelly, but no pb. I packed a small jar of pb, myself.

We are wanting to add 2 days to the end of our trip at CBR. As of now it is Dec. 19-28. We want Dec. 19-30. CBR is booked up with the special, therefore we can not extend. We got a pin in the mail today for free dining during this time at POFQ. They have space for all of our days but, we don't want to move from CBR. So I thought I would ask here if someone has to sadly cancel their trip that included the days Dec. 28 or 29th or both, could you please let me know so I can jump on it and try to book? So sorry if this is inappropriate! Thanks!

Unfortunately, availability doesn't really work that way. If someone cancels their package with free dining, that doesn't mean that will open back up for anyone to book. Also, I believe tomorrow is the last day for the public free dining offer.

Yes, if you look back to page 114 you can see a pic taken by Deb123 that shows a picture of the gift show and you can clearly see loaves of bread in the pic.

According to the CM on the phone that is how it works. Because I am "extending" my vacation and not trying to book a new one, if someone cancels than that opens back up space. They told me to call once a week until it gets close to my 45 days and then call every day. I guess we'll see.

No need to go to the Custom House. You have 2 options:

1.) Stop at the Concierge desk at OPR the day before and have them arrange a cab for you for the next morning.

2.) Call Bell Services the night before or the morning of 15 minutes before you'd like to be picked up.


Both of these will get you a cab picking you up at your building in the circular drive.

Loved the shots of the breakfast menu! We're big breakfast eaters. Just a quick question: has anyone seen evidence of the elusive Key West omelet at the OPR food court? When we were last there (2010) it was offered on certain days, once or twice a week. It had avocado and turkey and Swiss cheese, possibly bacon too. We loved it but I haven't heard anyone else mention it. I hope it still makes an appearance from time to time. DH tried to recreate it at home with so-so results.

We were at CBR in July and yes they had the Key West omelet. I think it was available every day. Was at omelet station!
