As the other poster said, it is the Cuisinart with pods. We didn't end up buying any, but I found them somewhere online before our last trip. DH didn't care for it. He went to the gift shop and bought a small coffee press and got coffee from somewhere (may have been gift shop or he may have gone to a store, it was the day I was sick and slept for four hours). He heated water in the coffeepot and poured it in the press to make coffee.

I second the coffee press! I bought one while we were there and I LOVE mine! I prefer Kona coffee, so I can appreciate your husband's spirit for good coffee. I would go that route and not waste time looking for pod "compatible" coffee. The brand the resort uses is Joffrey's. (Spelling? Think that's right). Not sure if it's a "Disney" brand or not!

Great news! I spoke with a cast member today. She confirmed me CBR ia getting queen bed and pretty much everything in the room is new... Starting tomorrow, people will be able to check-in in jamaica 41 in a refurbished room....

Yay!!! Hope someone here gets to stay there soon. We need pictures!!!! Also snoop and find out if there are suites? Also wondering what they did with the wheelchair acc rooms? Did they keep the king bed and turn the double into a queen for that room? (We have one of those booked for Sept).

Hello everyone! We just booked CBR for Dec 13-20!! It'll be our first stay here. Since it's me, DH, DD5 and DS2 I'm going to hope for a refurbed room for the bigger beds to share I look forward to trying a new resort !

PS...anyone know if Lactaid is sold in the shop here? My son is lactose intolerant and will not drink soy. Wondering if we should do a grocery stop first or if we can just grab it at the resort!!

Just booked a Thanksgiving trip (11/22 - 11/29) at CBR for DH, DD, DS, and me! It's our first time at CBR and a surprise trip for the kids. We weren't planning another Disney trip until 2015, but received a pin code for free dining and couldn't pass it up. I'm so excited!!!!

After this post someone commented about booking a preferred room because of the refurb. Does this mean Jamaica is going to be preferred now? We are booked in a water/pool view room and requested Jamaica - I'm so confused on what areas we could possibly be in dde2c

Honestly, we won't know till Disney actually loads the rooms when they become bookable. The other day disney had a glitch in the system that showed preferred rooms with occupancy for 5, they have since been removed. Since renovations have begun in Jamaica section many speculated those rooms could or could not become preferred. Looking back at it now, it was just a glitch but Disney is obviously working on adding rooms that will sleep 5 at some point.

Sorry - newer to this thread and without going all the way back through, what buildings have been refurbed at this point? I booked preferred and requested 24, 25 or 26 ground floor. We booked free dining Aug 31-Sept 8, but actually arriving Aug 30 on a one night 30% off. Never stayed at CBR before and getting pretty pumped!

Last stay was at POR (loved it) and now booked at CBR. I was originally very nervous about booking here because I have read a lot of negative reviews. It's nice to read some good ones on this forum. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that most of the upgrades are done by mid November so there's a better chance of getting a refurbished room. I have a son with some muscular issues so if anyone that has stayed at CBR has any suggestions on room/location requests I would love to hear from you!
