And the snow begins! It's not sticking to the roads and sidewalks yet, but there is a coating on the grass already...

So are you all snowed in yet?? Still have power??
WE still have power. Can't speak for the rest of the Mid Atlantic! I just walked the dog and had to shovela path for him. He's a French Bulldog puppy and kind of short! The snow is up to my kneesish...over 20" I'd venture!
Wow!! I just saw on BBC a headline that read "Blizzard Paralyzed US East Coast". I'll go read it now. Sounds like a few days off school maybe for the kiddos.Be warm and safe.

Oh I hope NOT!! They have off from the 12-16 anyway. I'm not sure I'm ready for that much togetherness! Plus, snow days really just mess up the rest of the year! I hope they have the roads and sidewalks cleared for the kids by Monday! DH and I have a school dinner auction to go to tonight, and it is going ahead snow or no snow, so I hope we're plowed out by tonight. Otherwise, we're walking!!
Holy smoking snow castles!! That is one large amount of white stuff!!!
I've never seen that much snow, even when I lived in Flagstaff, AZ.
Yikes! That's a lot of snow!!!!
I love the progressive time line of the snowfall. It really show quite the contrast.
I love Swiffer. He should come over and play with my dog, PixelPoor Swiffer. That snow is way over his head. I have to do the same for Pixel when there's a giant snowfall around here. If I don't, she'll go right in front of the back door. And that's not a nice sight right outside the kitchen window
Fortunately, there hasn't been a large enough dumping of snow to have to do that.... yet.
Hope you parked the cars in the garage![]()
Stitch too. He tries to leap through it, gets frustrated and runs for the door. He's a little dude too:This is him a few months ago. He's a bit bigger now, but still little:I grew up near Erie, so I've seen this plenty of times.
Swiffer wants to go out, then he doesn't know what to do. He jumped in some of the snow on the deck, couldn't move, and jumped back into the path again.
Awww what a cute puppy, kangaand2roos! Perfect name for him. He looks just like Stitch
:
I just got off the phone with my sister in McLean, VA (just outside the Beltway) and she has 22 inches. They say by next AM, they should have around 33"!!!! Most snow since 1922.

I am so glad we've dodged this storm![]()
WOW! That's some serious white stuff.
I do not know how it happened, but somehow I became unsubscribed to your PTR.I kept thinking, "Hmmmm - no updates to Glenn's PTR in a while." Then I saw you post on Cynthia's PTR and thought something wasn't right.
Anyhoo - you have an awesome backyard!!Before moving down here to Virginia Beach last June, we lived outside of Baltimore. To think - we could have been "enjoying" all of this crazy snow right now!!
I'm glad we're just having rain.

My husband's family lives in Reading so I'm assuming they're getting all of this snow too.
I feel sorry for you that you don't get to enjoy this.I'm sure Reading is getting some of this storm.
