The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

Wow, your pics from Idol turned out GREAT!

Thank you Tinkgurl!

We've had that warm-up guy before! He is hilarious, isn't he?! And we've had the "fem-bot" and the "Paula" judge, but never have seen the Randy or the Simon you had. Wow, they sure found someone to play the Randy part well!

I think the warm-up guy made it worth it all by himself!

Oooh, I wish I was there! I love Taylor Swift! I always hope that someone will sing her when we're there and they never do. Darn it.

Wow, I'd think her songs would appear pretty frequently. Probably just the luck of the draw for you.

Sounds like you guys had fun.
But the question is would you care if you didn't have anything at stake?
That is, if your family hadn't tried out and you didn't have someone else to root for, would it be as much fun?

I'm sure it wouldn't be as much fun, but I'd probably still catch it. Not every trip...but I could see it again.

Vote, Vomit....

These days I'm never sure what the difference is when I go to the polls.

Great update! :thumbsup2 I haven't done the AI Experience at DHS. I seem to be missing out on some fun stuff.

I thought this was funny. I was looking at todays Woot (woot.com, where they have daily "deals") and it's a "sleeved blanket". Apparently, they couldn't use the copyrighted name of Snuggie, or whatever it is, so they listed a few other Woot-approved, noms de sloth:

  • Wrapathy
  • I Can’t Believe It’s Not Just a Blanket With Arm Holes
  • the Surrender Gown
  • Cloak of the Dyslexic Wizard
  • Fleece Birth Control
  • Depression Binky
  • CuddleShroud
  • the Infantilikilt
  • +3 Shawl of Telecommuting
  • OK, You Got Us, It Actually Is Just A Blanket With Arm Holes

Just read this. HILARIOUS!

And even more funny because I own a Snuggie....and I'm wearing it right now. :rolleyes1 (and i LOVE it!)

Pfft.... :furious::furious::furious:

Not so covertly anymore... I really need to get started with writing again!! I kind of don't want to write in my TR that it is now 1 year since we started the trip... :confused3 So thanks for bugging me, little sister! ;)

You won't loose me as a reader either!!!

Think hard, and this WILL be coming up on the next installment- but go ahead and get your think on, so you're prepared to WOW us all with your alphabet prowess. There IS a sort of reasoning to her creativity. :rolleyes1

I'm stumped. Do we get clues?

Glenn, awesome AIE update! You got some wonderful pictures of "your guy" on stage! I really like that one with the cameraman too, very cool.

I laughed out loud at your fembot comment, you are so right! :lmao:

;) Some days I want to move to Antarctica. No taxes there. Oopsie, I'll bet those are the coldest outhouses on the planet. Never mind.

I'm pretty sure someone , if the haven't allready, will find a way to tax you there!

I have a feeling instead of liquid you'd be peeing ice cubes!

Yeah, like a tax on penguin doo that I'd be using as heating fuel.

OUCH! would that be like passing kidney stones?

Thanks. It was good! I neeeever would have gone to it under normal circumstances, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Depressing, isn't it???

Yep.

But some of the most private!

Just read this. HILARIOUS!

My favorite is the "+3 Shawl of Telecommuting", but you probably have to have played Dungeons and Dragons or a fantasy-role-playing game to get that one.

And even more funny because I own a Snuggie....and I'm wearing it right now. :rolleyes1 (and i LOVE it!)

You're wearing it now?! It's not cold yet!

I'm stumped. Do we get clues?

Spoiler alert. Great Biscuit solved it. It's in the in-between chapters chit-chat...but don't look unless you're giving up.

Thank you!

She did look like a fembot, right?! Or at least something out of Madame Tussauds Wax Musuem.

I'm pretty sure someone , if the haven't allready, will find a way to tax you there!

I have a feeling instead of liquid you'd be peeing ice cubes!

Oh great. Now that's the thought that'll be going through my head the next time someone fills a glass from the ice machine. (I'll be like, "Liesa...is that you?")

Yeah, like a tax on penguin doo that I'd be using as heating fuel.

OUCH! would that be like passing kidney stones?

Okay, now I'm humming the Beatles "Taxman", which I like. Much better than having "Black Velvet" stuck in your head.

Yeah, that's gotta be painful.

Lends a whole new meaning to "tinkle" don't it?

Yes! I am wearing it! Okay, now it's just on my lap, not around the arms too, but that's because I just had some hot coffee. It's cold here today. In the 60s. I'm used to the 80s now I guess. The 60s in MN was a heat wave. I'm a pansy.

Ahh, figured GB would solve it! Smarty pants. I'm half tempted to look, but I want a hint from Liesa first - if she's going to play it that way.

Yes! Madame Tssauds! :lmao: She totally had the weird waxy/glassy eye look going on there.

:rotfl2:

You've gotten a couple of good ones in today! First the vomit/vote line, and now this -- that's a successful day, in my book!

Yes, we say that it takes a little while for your blood to "thicken up" in the fall.

It does figure, doesn't it! I wanted a hint too. All I got was "look closely". Sheesh. ;)

Yes! Madame Tssauds! :lmao: She totally had the weird waxy/glassy eye look going on there.

Yeah! And in one picture towards the end, just before she announces the winner, she looks right at me!

Caughting up after a long vacation with little access to the internet... just to confirm that you haven't lost your mexican audience :rotfl:

Also I had to skip all the chit-chat between updates :sad2:... hope I didn't miss something important :surfweb:

It's better than hearing a fart and thinking of someone...:rolleyes1

And, that was the ONLY one I didn't get. Is it too complicated to explain? The rest of the list was HI-larious!

So, not being a fan of American Idol, we didn't make it over to see it this trip - but it actually looks pretty cool by your report. I wonder if the judges and host are the same all day/everyday?

I always thought Black Velvet was sort of a lame song - but I nonetheless couldn't help myself from singing along when it would come on the radio (and belting it out if I was alone;))

After reading about your American Idol experience, I am going to add it to our must-do list for our next Disney vacation. I'm not normally a fan of AI.

I've not been able to keep up with your report like I want to. I'm going to go back and read some of the chit chat. I've missed too much!

They mix the judges up some. We saw it a few times and sometimes we'd see one judge different than an earlier show, sometimes it was a whole new panel. I think I only saw one host while I was there - and it was a guy - so it was different than the Fem-bot Glenn saw.

Glad you're getting caught up Trib. I was just thinking about you, I noticed that you hadn't posted here in a while.

The chit-chat is some of the best stuff, but I realize that it's a LOT of reading.

:lmao::lmao:

It was the dog!

Well, for example, James and I are in the middle of playing a playstation game called "Dark Alliance II" (we already finished "Dark Alliance"). As you go through the game, your character can find or buy weapons or armor that have a number such as +2, +3, and that just means that they'll inflict more damage or protect the wearer better. Then there are items that give the wearer certain abilities, like an "amulet of dexterity" or "boots of speed".

So, thus you have the "+3 Shawl of Telecommuting".

Tinkgurl said that she's seen the host and "Paula" before, so I think so. Or maybe they have a couple of people who take turns, at least.

I always thought Black Velvet was sort of a lame song - but I nonetheless couldn't help myself from singing along when it would come on the radio (and belting it out if I was alone;))

Agreed! Hey, with a voice like that, when is your hubby going to put you in the band?

After reading about your American Idol experience, I am going to add it to our must-do list for our next Disney vacation. I'm not normally a fan of AI.

Me either, but I think it's worth checking out.

There's some good stuff in there, definitely. But if it's too overwhelming, feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the time.

Thanks for the info. Tanya! :)
