Well, I got out of class early and there's a JCP Sephora nearby...

And so now I can add "April" to my Buxom Lips collection. It's sparkly! It's also has a bit more tingle than the other colors I have.

I got a sample of the Too Faced chocolate bronzer, I'm looking ahead to summer. And the sales associate said that a Sephora coupon is coming soon. 15% off!!!

Oh, and urban decay website has a discount too, a WHOPPING 35% off! But I can't find the code! They were talking about it on MUA. Maybe if someone is better at navagating around that website, they can find it. Gotta love those lip glosses!

Oh no sister. You are certainly NOT the only one. I gave up on it a while ago.

I have to sing the praises of my GHD iron. I was so skeptical about spending $270 on it but even after sweating for two hours at the gym tonight my hair was still in pretty good shape. I absolutely LOVE it.

I would like to try this look with my eyes and the lessons and the brush that comes with it makes it look easy. Ulta has it, so I will use my 20% off coupon for it. The only thing is I don't like the colors. I haven't worn purple eyeshadow since high school.

I did the Monistat on my whole face - then concealer, EM makeup - then a smide more M'Stat on my lids.... and the shadow stayed on all day.

I put it on and use it that way with out putting more on after foundation and b4 eyeshadow and it always creases no matter what I use but this sounds like something i might have to try thanks

I don't know how to thank you, I never would have known about it without your recommendation. (Although my boyfriend is not too happy that the Sephora-beast in me has re-awakened, lol!)


Oh, and I am DONE with Ulta. I took my second trip ever in there the other day. The first time, I went in for some EcoTools brushes - they had NONE in stock. Walked out with nothing. This time, I went in to make one of those cute $10 Easter baskets they have this week - I went Monday so they would still have a good selection of fillers. The ad stated they had 50 items to choose from - my Ulta had LITERALLY 8 things! And nothing fun! The sales girl said that's all they had gotten. BOOO ULTA!!

CR did you get the new dog? I am struggling with the same delemma. I had to put my fur baby down a month ago and my DH wants to wait till we get back from WDW in August but I want one now. IF you do take her may I suggest the name Sephora???

That being said... are you on Facebook? We should be friends - cuz I explained it on there.

I got a call this morning from the shelter. They were not to have shown her last night to us because:

#1 - She was on hold for someone.

#2 - She had not been temperament tested.

#3 - She was developing kennel cough.

Now on Facebook - you'd get to see me swear. I'm a big fan of the F-bomb in situations like....oh, I dont know.... KENNEL COUGH! I understand it's as simple as a cold, but I don't need my current baby getting Kennel Cough. I'm a hypochondriac for cripes sake!!! This goes for my kids, husband and DOG too!!!

So, I talked to my g/f who went to Vet school and is a dog trainer. She said healthy adult dogs, odds are he will be absolutely fine. But hell - I was really nervous after I got that call. I washed my hands when I got home, but Charley was sniffing all over me, where she had been laying. UGHHHH!

So, keep your fingers crossed my Charley doesn't get sick. Geez!!!

I had already decided I wasn't going to go in that direction anyways, but I was so "CRAP!!!!!" when she called.

OMG kennel cough! I don't blame you for being nervous. ( I am not on face book. I just never get around to it.) I am lucky I hve time to be on here If kennel cough is not all that bad then why do all dogs have to get vaccinated for it? I was just on pet finder looking again. I saw a few dogs I liked but I am resisiting. It is just that in the past 25 years I have not been without a dog .I saw a woman walking her dog by my house today and I went and asked the lady if I could pet him . Then I started crying she must have thought I was a nut. I will keep my fingers crossed for Charley.

I have stupid questions about mineral makeup. I've been using the Everyday Mineral samples and am getting used to it. When I run out, I'm going to buy the sample kit of Pur Minerals and give that a try since someone recommended it to me.

But am I doing it right? My routine:

Moisturizer
Primer
Concealer, mixed with water and applied as needed
Foundation powder, dry
Blush, dry

Then my regular eye stuff.

I dunno, the foundation doesn't seem to cover as well as I think it should... I put on several thin layers and then it looks a little cakey.

Am I doing it right? I watched a video on YouTube... but Bare Minerals has a bunch of other foundationy stuff that the EM sample didn't have. Some veil stuff or something.

Help?


Oh - CR - Kennel cough is not a big deal. It's like a cold for dogs. It's only bad if the dog is already ill and having issues fighting infection or a very young puppy. I don't vaccinate for it, my vet recommends against it UNLESS it's a dog that spends a lot of time in a kennel. The vaccination is only good for some strains of it anyways and doesn't even last quite 6 months. Kennel cough is easily treated with an antibiotic and is not real contagious. It's like the people version of a cold. It's not scary like Parvo or Distemper.

On the recommendation of this thread, I bought the Monistat. Pardon, allow me to restate. I had the nice cosmetics head lady at CVS ripping apart the feminine care shelf looking for "the chafing jelly from Monistat." She couldn't find it, but Byron, the assistant Pharmacist with a fro that would've made Russell Simmons jealous, found it immediately and then asked me (5'4", 138 lbs) in a whisper "about the chafing," looking at me up and down in a clinical fashion in an attempt to determine where I could be chafing. This entire incident was a priceless suburban moment for me. I was laughing so hard on my way out that I had to stop to catch my breath. It was brilliant.

I look forward to applying non-feminine-jelly to my eyelids tomorrow. More to come.

I love black honey. I think this is the first lipstick that I've run out of before it went bad.

I've been watching these youtube tutorials. OMG! I love them. I've been watching Ateyaaa. She does this V eye thing with tape! It is way too interesting.
