Fill us in on COsta Maya so we know what to look forward to next year. Glad to see you are having a good time. Wish I was there. I am reay for even a 3 day. I just need a Disney fix...bad

Dee, the weather today was beautiful. Had a couple rain spurts come in this afternoon but they quickly passed. Jeff and I just toured the shops at the complex they have here by the dock. Had two other ships in port so it was quite busy. He didn't want to book an excursion, then decided he wanted to go to the beach to swim but ended up backing out after the long line for the taxi and the thought of taking off with a total "stranger" and "risk our lives". Needless to say....I did some shopping and came back for a relaxing time by the pool.

Jeanna and crew were visiting the ruins today so I'll get the scoop at dinner - am looking forward to see how it went since we might do it next year with our whole crew!

Twice Charmed was unbelieveable last night!! And yes...Tarzan looked mighty nice the other night too....lucky Jane!

We are sailing from Costa Maya now - Pirate dinner was great - our 2 kids were all decked out - although not a lot were dressed up.

We took a taxi to mahajual (?sp) and had an absolutely amazing day -- $10 for a cab ride for 5 of us - (3 adults. 2 kids). The cabs can't pick you up unless you walk out past the gated area - We walked right out (as did a few others) and got right in a cab. There was a line of 100 plus people waiting for shuttle buses. No way were we going to sit in that line with a 2 and 4 yr old. Cabs seemed perfectly safe -- a line of cabs available to take you back to port anytime.

We sat at a table near the mid portion of the beach strip -- had beers/sodas/lunch etc -- cost us $42 and we spent 4-5 hours there - The beach is beautiful - the water incredible -- We loved it - best port so far -- Gotta go now -- A pirate party awaits .


All I can say is -- the is the BEST vacation we ever had

We did the Stingray City and Island Tour - had a fabulous guide. We got to go down in a glass bottom semi-sub and the guide for that portion rounded up the stingrays so we could get pictures and etc. Also got to see Chilly the Barracuda (called that because he just chills out there in the shade). The water was soooooo clear - it was beautiful. Others went on the Stingray City trip that allowed them to actually swim with the stingrays and said it was great!

Thanks for the info - this is the tour we have booked, so I'm glad to see that it was a good one! We're looking forward to it and it's the only excursion we've scheduled. We're waiting for Costa Maya reviews from y'all on the ship now before we reserve something for CM.

Pirate Night was Fantastic!

We were on the Magic last year when they did - maybe the second or third Pirate Night.....it is SO much better now!

Great Show, rapelling, dancing, characters and fireworks....really spectacular!

Had 'Radko' type glass ornaments signed by the Captain today along with my Key to the World Card.

Linda and Ed Hannosmom & Dad loved their excursion...she will report in later.
Moochncasserole(sp) also went thru the gate and grabbed a cab - much better then waiting in the LOOOOONG line.

On the Medal/Winners front.....we ROCK !
We are winning left and right.....medals, pins, putt putt, wild toad races, trivia contests....the count is so HIGH, I have Lost COUNT

There will be MUCH posting when we get back from all the winners........

Thanks for the great reports so far...I am so glad that these 'live' reports are catching on - it is really nice to live vicariously while the snow falls outside. At least my ticker is under a year now!

Can't wait to hear back on CC. ALso - I know one of you upgraded to a Cat 3 at the port - any detail you could provide on the room and service etc would be much appreciated. We are on a Cat 3 next year and I am really looking forward to it (not so much looking forward to paying off the bill though!!).
