The Maelstromers... a FASTPASS!

October 2 will work for us, too. Of course, I use the term "us" loosely. The rest of my gang of hooligans has no idea they'll be sporting Maelstrom is a Fastpass!?! shirts and trying on horns. Hey, ya gotta save the really good stuff as a surprise!

Ya know, if I remember correctly (don't have my calendar here) October 4 is EEMH at Epicot...and you know how LaLa loooooves her some EEMH at Epicot!

Oct 4th works for us too. SNAP.. 10/4 IS EEMH!

It's just DH and I, so we're pretty flexible.. Of course now I have to tell him that he's going to be meeting a bunch of strangers called Maelstromers and he'll need to wear a t-shirt that says It's a FASTPASS?!!

I hope he doesn't have me committed

I I cried for what was lost, for the blessing of still having the love of my life and then for the blessings God has granted me.


He still makes me laugh every day and that was #1 on my checklist for a spouse. #2 was to let me eat off his plate, and he says that after being married to me for so long, that should have been #1.


Now, I am not gonna get any free dining this year and will miss the big Maelstrom meet. I want lots of TR's on that, with pics.

Wow Grammy... you are extremely lucky to have found your true love. Rarely does this happen in life and you are blessed.
There are others who may run from a stressful situation...my grandmother had an anurism(sp??) and my grandfather (Step grandparents that is) left her high and dry for a friend of the family...some friend huh? I had that experience myself as you know from my TR.
I cried just a little, when I read the reasons why you married him...in all seriousness I think you would agree...it is not always easy...and you have to be true to your word...but there is something to say for finding THE one...
I tell my single friend "never settle" for anything less than what you truely want and need and can give to that someone.

Then I see my grandparents...their 48th anniversary was Apr 5. It is so cute how my grandma counts out his pills for him, fluffs his pillows, makes his plate for him at dinner and even makes sure there is butter pecan ice cream in the fridge every night just for him. It is also cute and very comforting to see them give each other pecks and kisses and pats here and there...even at THEIR AGE you still see the spark in their eyes when they look at each other. It is quite amazing.

I really hope you rely on those you love and remember yourself in hard times too.

AND btw you are not the only Maelstromer NOT going to the meet... :guilty

Okay, in a bold and decisive move, I just cancelled my Le Cell ressie for Thursday, Oct 5 and moved it to Friday the 6th so that I could go to the party on the 5th! I better see someone in a Maelstrom Fastpass costume, or I might get just a titch miffed!

Now the question is whether I need to flop my Sunday AK/Epcot day for my Monday MGM day in order to make the "meet."

How many of us are ACTUALLY going to be there at that time?

So far we know of HaleyB, kpk89, paslea pooh, SNAP, and myself for sure. Did I miss anyone? Sheridac, you are correct, resistence is futile. When is RiversideMelonMom taking her trip? And were is Buzzton these days?

A Maelstromer meet, huh...sounds fun. We'll be there Sept. 14-24 though..bummer. I thought about going late in the month, but decided I didn't want the extra crowds from MNSSHP and F&W...plus there's Columbus day, which I keep hearing is really bad. So I stuck with Sept..it's never failed us yet...except that one time we had to postpone because of a hurricane. I hope everyone has fun! I bet it will be a blast!

My DS(15 months) is climbing out of his bed now...he's in a pack-n-play since we don't have room for a crib really. But he's climbing out..........it's driving me crazy. I put him down for a nap and 5 minutes later he's in there playing, or he comes walking out with his cowboy hat on. Yesterday for 2 hours he kept getting up and I kept putting him back and then DH came home and as soon as Kaleb saw DH he went to sleep. I don't know what I'm going to do. Lay him on the floor and put the pack-n-play upside down over him....no, I'm kidding...maybe....

Have a good day everyone. I spent all day yesterday cleaning and doing my laundry, so I have the day off today. Only have to take care of the kiddos, so I've been spending my morning getting all the info I can on the Poly.(sorry melonmom) I can't wait for my first ever stay at a deluxe! I've printed out a color coded chart with all the buildings names and locations int he building I want, in case they don't honor my requests.

There are a few things I just decided I would not live without:
WISHES from the beach
the monorail
and queen sz beds
and a lot of dining options w/o a car


I just kept reminding myself of all those throngs of people I would see leaving the MK or EP to get to the TTC or to get on a bus...the line...the agony...
and I just thought about how stress free, easy and blissful it was to catch the boat back and forth to the Poly from MK...

that made up my mind right there. We all knew it wouldn't be long!!

with a name like mine HOW could I go anywhere else?? GEESH

wish I could do the MNSSHP this year but I just cannot miss school again next year and my kids are going to be in some activities in the fall so Aug it is...

And you will be missed at whatever meet gets thrown together - what is Maelstrom w/o polymelonmom, melhappyhaunt, horsegirl or Zzub (or all the others, I'm not trying to exclude anyone)? I'm glad I don't have to consider school dates yet - and our district is going to a modified calendar that basically results in almost a full week off almost every month - so I think I am golden even when school starts (in 2008, since my child missed the cutoff date by 1 mo and 3 days.)

Your early trip will give us a late-breaking TR to read before the mass invasion of Maelstromers!

So I guess going for two weeks so I could hook up with some of the early Sept Maelstromers is out. But you guys that don't fit into our date range should plan something. Let's just say it was meant to happen. You are a Poly princess.

Now, I am one of those poor saps that stayed at the Poly without a newly redocorated room in August. But I had a patio. We had a "gasp" garden view. Can't find my info from that trip, but looked on a old map from 2003.
Rarotonga, 1st floor, 3rd room in facing Lagoon. Next to Ceremonial House, quick dash to Volcano pool, quiet and nice patio. Could hear the music and tiki lights right outside. It was a lovely room, considering it hadn't been redone. I am sure it is complete now. Most convenient room we have ever had. Just food for thought. My view was not castle but beautiful.

I knew as soon as we heard the bus story you were going to the Poly.

Oh lil P Pooh- I'm on thin ice! We are in the process of booking not one, but 2 weeks in Hawaii! Leaving Nov 9. This is going to set us back quite a bit. So I'd have to maybe learn some extra special tips form polymelondoodaday girl! Even that probably wouldn't do it! But I'll mull it over. He has told me to go nurture myself at a spa, and I've never taken him up on it....

Keep talking about your plans, and maybe you all will convince me.....
