Jennifer, once again BEAUTIFUL BRIDE ALERT. My monitor didn't show blue on any of the dresses, but they were all gorgeous. It makes me sad...I wanna have another wedding. DH says that maybe we can renew our vows at WDW someday...I'm gonna hold him to it!
I found a tiara for my wedding online and I made my own veil with pearls and rhinestones. It was MUCH MUCH cheaper. If I get around to scanning a photo I will post it. I also bought my dress online for about $300 cheaper than in the bridal store. I knew the asst. mgr of the shop and she gave me all the info to order it on my own. I LOVE a bargain!

Maelstrom everyone!

THanks Shelby, it was the one that I took pictures of when it was just hanging on the hanger all by itself. And the close up of the corsetted back. The tiara that I want that I found there was ..... $165!!!! Can you believe it, what a rip I mean seriously. That is ridiculous. Plus the veil was another $150. I am so thinking I should get one online.

My mom wanted me to have a WDW wedding, until she found out the cost :rotfl2: I hope you get your vow (or as I call it vowel) renewal. Andy says that perhaps in a few years we can do one of those as well.
Maelstrom

You guys are hysterical :rotfl2: :lmao: with all your banter. I leave work on Friday and there are 18 pgs to this thread, I get here this am.....now theres 31 pages ...34 by the time I get to this point. You all are not helping me to get payroll done, at all. Dh should be oh SSSOOOOO thankful that we don't have the internet at home. Because I'd never get much done there.

Hey Mel.....when do you get to part in the Crackhead saga, where the convict and handcuffs and leg irons show up?

HaleyB.....if you love Delswife's stories, she has her own website where her Disney stores and :offtopic: stories are posted.

Shelby5514.....Are you still here in the FORT or did you get to move onto bigger and better things. I soooooo would love to move....pick up me up and drop me where there is little to no snow. Say like AL again or TN, or AZ.

Wow, I come back from the weekend from hell and find 10 more pages to get through. This is starting to eat my day. Tee hee.

javamom - I am having some morning margurita just for you! I need something to kick start my day.

Mel - I have a secret weapon to liberate your cat from The General. A squirrel. No ordinary squirrel. This one is crafty and spry and is trying to jimmy the lock on my window to get my fig newtons even as I type. I can throw a net over him, toss him in a box with air holes and some newtons and ship him to Canada. He is already trained in all types of espianoge. (or however you type it because I am drinking tequilla and my typing is just... well... bad).

Fellow Maelstromers - I will be on TV next week! Yup, the Travel Channel, Tuesday the 4th of April. Fred Willards American Festivals - The Northern California Renaissance Faire. On the west coast we have it scheduled for 5pm and 8pm. I'm not hard to miss. I am the red haired chick in the stunning purple dress that plays Queen Elizabeth. Come one, come all and help the ratings.

Yep, SW Fort Wayne, DH and I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to move south! His company had an opening in Orlando and we seriously considered it. We're just afraid that the majic would wear off if we lived there... Ha ha...I just noticed that I spelled MAJIC like the radio station...since my sis works for majic, it's an honest mistake!

Malestrom, my fellow hoosier!

...is a FASTPASS?!?!

Litebrite, your story cracked me up...and with the day I'm having at work, I can't say thank you enough!

Aurora......I can hardly wait to see you on the Travel Channel.....we usually watch it when reruns are going on......thanks for telling us about it....it is really neat :thumbsup2

Well PongoJen ~ There is alot. But you only have a few days, you said. And you want to go to Marineland. I have two suggestions about Marineland... first... do not EAT at Marineland. You can bring a picnic in if you want. Whatever you do, do not attempt to injest the stuff they optomistically call "food", there. Hurlarama. I know from experience. So bring a nice picnic and eat in the wooded picnic area. Second... do not go to the underwater viewing area where you can see the Killer Whales. There is one there with a loose and floppy dorsal fin. It is sooooo gross. It makes you want to barf and then cry. Or the other way around. But, whatever, it is sad. Makes you wonder how "healthy" it is for them there. Thirdly (ok... there's a few more things) DON'T "accidentally" push your DH into the ponds around the park. There are giant carp in there. I don't know if they are maneaters but I swear I saw one eat a pack of cigarettes that someone dropped while leaning over to look in the water. They also swarm like pirahnas(?). Our infamous middle son fell into a pond there two summers ago. We feared by the time we pulled him out he would be needing a wooden leg. Also... they have a bunch of scrawny dirty lazy rotting black bears there, too. They sell the tourists Cornpops by the buttload to throw at the bears. I think that is all they feed them, too. Looks like it. They are mangy. And... I refuse to go look at them because I have a bear fetish and it breaks my heart. Plus... I may be slightly biased (about Marineland ) because I got fired from a summer job there at Marineland when I was 17. All that aside... we go every year once. The kids really like it. And I saw Owen Wilson there, the summer before last... I think. Which was cool. He's cute.

I've never been to the Niagara Casino because I don't do that. I have no luck and lose all my money within 20 minutes of entering a casino. So does my Mellyman. However, The General goes sometimes. With her Churchlady friends. Ha, ha!

What I would do is this ~ I would stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake if I were you. It's BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely. Picturesque. There is the Shaw Festival. Which is awesome. Something good always playing. You could stay at one of the B&Bs. There are tons of them. Amazing restaurants. I could give you some recommendations. But I'm only a foodie in training. You could goggle them though. If you want to stay at one of the Heritage Inns... there is Queens Landing. Which is wonderful. That is were DH and I got married. And so did the infamous Karla and Paul Bernardo. That is wine country and there are a bunch of wineries to visit. There are organized tours or you could just do your own thing. We do this a couple of times a year. With friends or without. There are some little obscure wineries which make amazing wine. Like Thirty Bench and Marynissen. Thirty Bench is a little farther out though. But still close.

Anyway... just some ideas for you. When is the date of your wedding. BTW?

Afternoon folks! Hope you're having a great day so far. I thought I'd share something with you to make your day a little more fun.

There is a guy on TV - he's a TV preacher. Most of these guys I can't stand. They are schiesters and just want money. There's one though that is the king. his name is Robert Tilton. I have watched his show in amazement before. How does he even get on the air?

Anyway, the story goes that a bunch of Duke seminary students thought he was pretty funny too. They, shall we say, doctored up some tape of this guy on TV. Now, I assure you that there is nothing risque' here. I have not looked at the other clips on this web site, so I can't speak for them. But if you'll click on the link - if I do it right - then scroll down until you see "The Flatulating Preacher" (they use another word, but this is a family show, huh?)

There's like 5 of them there. YOu've got to see this. Turn your speakers up, but make sure your boss isn't around. Though my guess is they will probably laugh their heads off too!

I'm working on some church stuff, but will try to get to my trip report this afternoon!

After just looking at some of the titles around the ones I want you to see, perhaps there are some risque things on the site - but not on the parts I have reccommended.

Blessings!
Mark

THanks Mel, that is why I always like to hear the inside scoop and recommendations about places from people who have been there or live near where I want to go. Niagara-On-the-Lake, I will keep that in mind.

I can see it now, we are at MarineLand and I say to him noooooo I can't go to the underwater viewing area, this lady I know on the internet said not too. And he will give me the  face and think I have lost my mind. But it would make me sad. DO you think he is still there?

I would have loved to have heard some of your "very special" spiels. I am sure they were great :)

Mark....Thank you for the amazingly big laugh! Bless you! I laughed so hard at the first three I had tears rolling down my face and my stomach hurts! This guy's facial expressions just kill me! :rotfl2:

I hope all of you maelstomers will come over and roll in the hay with me over in the pasture. get all lala de my la la laaaaaaaaah and slipslappy funny with you guys, La la thanks for the pep banana and the honorary horns, and the link for all those cute lil' coneheads.

Oh My Gosh

Oh, Marky Mark, hopefully my next door neighboor who happened to be out in his yard right near the open window of the room where I was just sitting by myself and practically screaming with laughter has not gone inside his house to call the men in the white coats to come and take me away! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Great enough to get me severely disciplined. And sent to the Siberia of The Niagara Parks Commission. Geez. But, you know, my Dad and The General used to come for dinner when I was working. Which was crazy fun for me. 'Cause I would get the chef to send things to them that they didn't order. Which they (the parental units) thought was a hoot. They are/were strange folk. It was a really nice restaurant. Overlooking the escarpment. In the boondocks. Do you know Brock's Monument? You know... the War of 1812. When we kicked your American butts? That one? Heh heh. Well it's right there. Also... my high school used to bus us over to the escarpment and have us run up and down it for training for the Cross Country Team. So I've puked in the shadows of that great monument many a time.

I don't know if that Droopy Whale is still there. He/she was last summer, though.

When... when is the DATE of your wedding?????????????

...is a fastpass?

Frickles, with all of us UGA alums here on this thread, we might just have to have our own UGA virtual-tailgate. Go Dawgs! BTW, a good friend of mine works for Floyd County.

pongoperdigirl, too funny—I went to Walton! OK, it really is a small world *everybody sing*

All the dresses are really pretty, but I love the one you chose. I think dress shopping was one of the most fun parts of wedding planning for sure. :bride:
