I go away for 3 days, and come back to all this... My, my, you Maelstromers have been busy! Catching up has kept me occupied for the last hour and a half. Would've been here earlier, because my boss is out of town today...but our new copier was delivered this morning. And two ladies came by to visit (not like for tea, it was actually work-related), twice. I felt it would be rude to tell them they were interrupting my DIS time. They kept asking questions about our church, which made me feel a little guilty, because they go to another church, and their pastor is a friend of Marky Mark's. And I doubt if Janet would be happy to lose parishioners to us! So anyway, that's why I'm a latecomer.
And since I'm a latecomer and have to catch up, I have a few things to say.
1. I am not a Nole fan, despite Marky Mark's alumnae status. Nor am I a Gator fan. I am not even a Dawgs fan. I'm a Roll Tide girl. And if you want to talk numbers of National Titles... Bama's got you all beat!!
2. GA Aristocrat, we'll be lookin' for you! But I should tell you that Wesley already has a girlfriend, and she may not like for him to have another dance partner. Just so you'll know!!
3. I have stated before, YES, Mark preaches just like he "talks" to all of you. So, Babe, I'm thinking maybe a little sermon synopsis on here weekly would be a good thing. Then you would have your sermons "written down", as you have so many times been chastised to do by the Older Generation. And the Maelstromers' numbers could soon overtake our weekly worship attendance.
4. I know every single word to "I Like Big Butts". And yes, I think that I am proud of it. Even better~it was thanks to a good friend of Mark's (another preacher) that I know all the words. See, you just never know about the Secret Life of your preachers!
5. I am remembering the Kissing Punishment for later. 4 is a bit too young to fully appreciate it. Although he does shriek, "Eeeeeeeeewwwwwwww, they're kissing on the LIPS" every time he sees someone other than Prince Phillip and Aurora doing so. Hmmm... maybe it could be useful now. We'll experiment and let you know.
6. Keep pushing Mark to finish that trip report. And to make it funny. I think he's getting lazy. Spending too much time over here on CB Isle, likely. At least for the last 4 days.
7. I have 20 more working minutes... think that's enough time to read Ally's latest installment??
