Okay, I know this was posted like 4 pages ago but this thread moves so fast it's hard to keep up.

So, MelonMom, sorry to disapoint, but no, DH will not play the Tin Man or the Wizard for me. Nope. Even if I could talk him into playing the part, he for sure wouldn't be singing along with me cause he says I stink. He really stinks but he has the nerve to tell me I stink. I don't stink. I don't think I stink.
I mean how could I stink when I was in Choir in middle school and one year of high school? And no, they didn't kick me out.

That was my story anyway until last night. Last night I was hangin' up the kids' clothes and had my MP3 player blastin some lovely Miss Faith Hill. Mississippi Girl. Cause yeah, that's me. I'm a Mississippi Girl. So I just have to sing it at the top of my lungs with my MP3 player on. I turn around and notice DH behind me, only he has his cell phone. I really ham it up. I'm doin the invisible microphone and the hip shake. He laughs and says What? I'm just makin a phone call. What? Turns out he was recording me on his voice mail. Tricky man. He played it back and Yikes. Daddy was right. I stink. Or stunk. Simon would've tore me a new one.

So no, he will not sing along with me. We have decided we will each just sing offkey in separate corners of the house. And we're okay with that.

k, so actually had to go to work today...aka school...I have this thing called a contract I guess...if only they knew I was a Maelstromer...
anyway HELLLO.....Faith Hill...if ONLY you could teach me how to make my dh "play" Tim...I actually did that once btw...my brother said I was a perverted, insane woman but I actually asked dh to grow a goatee and wear some tight fittin' jeans, black T, and wear the hat (cuz the man is already missin' the hair...)
anyway it was quite amusing...and yeah...in a sick way...a turn on...

I don't feel that young sometimes.

I mentioned Kennesaw State, I was accepted there, but I didn't go.
My BF went to Berry for a couple years, she finished up at Kennesaw.

I live up in yankee territory now....I will always be a southern belle though

Wow, I come back from the weekend from hell and find 10 more pages to get through. This is starting to eat my day. Tee hee.

javamom - I am having some morning margurita just for you! I need something to kick start my day.

Mel - I have a secret weapon to liberate your cat from The General. A squirrel. No ordinary squirrel. This one is crafty and spry and is trying to jimmy the lock on my window to get my fig newtons even as I type. I can throw a net over him, toss him in a box with air holes and some newtons and ship him to Canada. He is already trained in all types of espianoge. (or however you type it because I am drinking tequilla and my typing is just... well... bad).

Fellow Maelstromers - I will be on TV next week! Yup, the Travel Channel, Tuesday the 4th of April. Fred Willards American Festivals - The Northern California Renaissance Faire. On the west coast we have it scheduled for 5pm and 8pm. I'm not hard to miss. I am the red haired chick in the stunning purple dress that plays Queen Elizabeth. Come one, come all and help the ratings.

I will definitely check you out because I too LOVE Renaissance Faires...for sure a fastpass...


Mel: Can I join the track team? Seems as though I have to get mine up and running too since you reminded me of Bikini Season...do you run indoors or out? Just wondering seeing though as we are both from up North...it makes it hard to get fit IMO...
I freaked this weekend when I got in mine at the hotel's indoor pool...my dh said "honey you look WAAAY better in your suit than you did last year..." I have since lost about 12 more pounds...hmmmmmmm...I cried and threw a fit and called myself a blubbering whale and stood and jiggled my not so jiggle free abs, buns and thighs...the only thing that saved me from jumping in the pool without a brick tied to my ankle was
1. my kids
2. I have a nice fake bake goin' on right now and that seems to help hide some cellulite...

anyway back to the Y I go HI ho....and running 4-5 mi a day and doing the FIRM to unjiggle my abs...

it's sick what we have to do after a few kids too many...pathetic.

If ONLY I could do the Vettechick does Disney Diet...
(unfortunately if I tried, I would not look hot like her...I'd probably look like Anna Nicole pre trimspa

I'm feeling rather old at the moment, though I certainly don't feel it. I have children older than some of you.

Mark, get out of my wheelchair. I need to go to Wally World and get some Loving Care.

Mel, forgot to mention, love the pic. Especially the pearls. It is so "Kate and Allie", or Barbara Bush. No, really, love the pearls. Like them better than diamonds.

Anybody else think Vettechick kinda looks like Julia Roberts? I would post pics but Mel's hubby won't let me. Plus I look like Alice from the Brady Bunch.

Hey my Canadian buddies...after Andy and I get married we are going to go to Canada for a couple days (the REAL honeymoon is in November but we still want to go do something) any suggestions. Canada is sooo close so we figured we would go there. I want to go to MarineLand.....cause everyyyyyoneeeee loooooves tha BELUGAS!!!!!

I was going to suggest skipping Marineland and going to Niagara-on-the-lake too! I have never stayed at the queens landing but DH and I go to the Prince of Wales Hotel (vintageinns.com - queens landing is there too) quite a bit - we love it there, and the people are lovely. Angel Inn is great for dinner (haunted!). Plus the Shaw Festival will be playing High Society in November while you are there! (www.shawfest.com) You could take a horse and carrige ride through the town and the shopping is great! You could also do a winery tour... congratulations by the way!

Javamom: I just noticed that we'll be in WDW the same time as you! Actually we'll be there 12/16-12/26! Staying at BC for the first time! I was actually just checking in over at TGM (I have a different name over there)...and noticed you in the Dec thread!!

My DH, unlike yours, has not decided to help me plan yet...but that is fine with me. I like it MY way! He thinks I am crazy for spending so much time on these boards and doing all kinds of planning.

I tried explaining to him about the lady whose son asked her about eating him if he was a donut baby...but I guess you kind of had to be there! He is NOT a Maelstromer. (YET)

Anywhoo...just wanted to let you know a fellow Maelstromer will be there same time as you!

And I let you in on my Bikini Season Secret. Buy a buttload of bikinis. When you need some motivation. I have TONS. TONS. I bought one on the weekend. A teeny tiny white string number. In terricloth. Size 4. Perfect motivation. That... and imagining perhaps running into Gary Sinise in the pool at WDW in May. Heh, heh.
