I've never been to the Rose and Crown, but we have a place downtown called Elephant and Castle that has a pretty good recipe. My mouth waters thinking about shepherds pie!

Any plans for the holiday weekend?

No plans. I didn't even realize it was Labor Day until today! An extra day off??? Woo hoo! :woohoo:

Changed my name on my siggy--how do you like me now? :)

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Great new siggie! So which one did you marry, or did you just go with both? :rotfl:

Well, I'm sticking with both, but if someone hits me with the "No Plig" rule, I'm going with Fred, the fella on the right. Just because I like his hair better! :thumbsup2

Where's our Mad Chatter friends tonight? We only need 35 more posts until we hit 7,000! YOWZA!!

sounds like a plan!

Well I should get going now. I can't sit here in the office all night-I'll try to sign on when I get home, but if I miss you it was great talking to you again. See you soon!

I would love to have a fourth...but being pregnant and me don't mix (life threatening level of not mixing). We are considering adoption. If we do adopt, I would like a set of two or three siblings. That way, they always have someone related by blood. I know it won't matter most of the time but if they need bone marrow or a kidney one day (I am such a "look at the bright side kind of gal"...NOT) they will have at least a chance of a sibling match. That and those are the hardest kids to find homes for. As long as none of the kids are older then Jason we would be okay. We want him to stay the eldest, it's his spot in the family and he likes it...I figure the middle ground is up for grabs;).

We were going to adopt, too, and then we tried Clomid and got Luke. We still wanted to adopt later on when he was out of baby stage, and then dh got sick. We won't be able to do international now, which is what we wanted...........we can still do domestic, probably, but we didn't much like working with the state before. We'll give it some time and see. We don't need any extra responsibility/expenses right now, anyway..........maybe when Luke is in 1st or 2nd grade.

Hi Mindy, difficult day. How about you?

Oh, guess what? They finally figured out what was wrong with Mom's "good" leg.............two weeks post accident, they find out she has a fractured hip!

don't you think they should have figured that out earlier? A fractured hip isn't that difficult to detect I would think!

Sorry to hear you've had a difficult day. Hopefully you'll be able to relax this evening

I sent you an email, it was a get-to-know-you thingie. Hope you don't think those are lame. I get tired of getting the same questions over again, but these were new to me.

Jealous that she didn't get a "lame" get to know you email... ;)

Yes, I thought so. I just don't know about that hospital. They said it is a hairline fracture of the socket. That it's very unusual, that usually it would be in the ball or the flat part of the hip (that's not what they said, but mom couldn't remember what they called it). They also said it was probably aggravated by her moving it (at THEIR insistence!). So, I don't know if it just was too small to see or because of where it was...............I don't know.

Anyway, they aren't talking rehab hospital anymore now that she has to use a wheelchair. For some reason, they don't want folks using a wheelchair unless they have to, even if it'd be more comfortable........I guess it might make them not use their muscles and slow recovery. So now she has to use a wheelchair as the hip has to be rested for 6-8 weeks. So they are teaching her how to transfer from bed to wheelchair and back, and when she can, she can go home.

Paige, that stinks about your mom's hip. Sometimes, when it rains it pours...and the floods!!!!!

How are the boys doing tonight? Any special plans? More LAWN CARE?? :rotfl:

Actually, Jay, it rained all Sunday night and Monday, so the lawn is looking pretty good! I may need to go out with the kitchen shears again for those stubborn fast growing weeds, and maybe the edger, but that's all.

What are you gonna do?
