Good, thanks.

Had to kick some unaccompanied minors out of the pool. First they were playing with the lifering, then tied it to a chair and started to drag it into the pool. I stopped that, then two started to leave, one said something, then one came flying back into the pool and punched him as he jumped in. Then they both started throwing punches at each other in the pool. No one else did anything, and by this time I figured out none of the adults there were with them, so I yelled at them to go home if no adult was with them, and they did.

Again I say, you can take the teacher out of the school, but you can't stop her from being teacher-y! :rotfl:

I talked to her today. I put a long post on here, but I erased it..........no sense in being a complainer!

They have decided there's something wrong with the knee on the opposite leg from the broken ankle. They were going to run some tests to see if it's a cracked kneecap or a torn tendon. Once they fix it, she will be transferred to a rehabilitation hospital for a couple of weeks.

Hi Karen!

The dog has been to the vet twice (he ingested a week old pork roast that had been in the outside garbage for about 6 days of that week). He got some sort of bacterial infection of his pancreas (sp?) and he had to be fed by IV for 48 hours to rest his stomach (not the smartest dog, but we love him anyway).

EEEEEWWWWWWWW.......Poor baby!!!!!! Sounds like something my crazy Shepherd would do. Has to eat the wrong, wrong thing. What is it with our lovable fur babies. I am so happy he's doing better. BIG :grouphug: I love dogs!!!!!!

Hey Karen!! I have missed you all this week. I am still having a lot of fun over on your DYR thread. I like the walk down memory lane!

**If there is strength in strangeness...then I should be ruling the world:
1.I like to dip my french fries in shakes.
2. I actually liked the movie Weekend at Bernie's 2.
3. I don't mind doing our taxes every year (hate paying them...just don't mind the actual process of preparing them).
4. I must have chapstick on at almost all times.
5. I enjoy waiting for trips, holidays, etc.
6. I still watch Survivor every time it comes on (even the reruns on the game show network).
7. I like to write with colored pens.
8. I have cousins (thanks Paige for the term, I took the liberty of borrowing it;)) that I have never even met.
9. Every once in a while I find myself pulling out a coloring book and a box of new crayons and having at it.
10. I still think Punky Brewster rocks.

I am strange...but then again, who is normal? :)

I was worried my son would be embarrassed, as his friend and the friend's cousin had come with their parents, too, but the cousin said to me, "You did a good job!" He looked about 10, but Nick said he told him he was 13. Then I heard my son's friend say to him, "I'm glad your mom made them leave."

I'm glad the poor dog is on the road to recovery. All because of some leftovers.............they do find anything and everything, don't they?

Thanks, Jay, I did think about it, but since just typing it did the trick, I was okay.

My main thing right now is just wishing I could be there and knowing I can't. And it doesn't help that I realize that even if I was there, there would be little I could do.

It's also bringing out the worst in some of my relationships with relatives.

Enough of that..............hey, we didn't have lasgna after all, dh decided he wanted Chipotle!

I just love the fajita bowl with chicken and sour cream............mmmm..........

Yep, they sure do. Who knew he would spend his time outside pulling garbage out of the can (he had to jump up, flip open the lid, pull out a sealed bag of garbage, chew through the bag and finally then got to the roast that had spent too much time in the fridge to eat so I tossed it out). Sick. Even for a dog...seriously demented choice of foods! ICK...then again, they lick themselves ;)

I just love that big lug. He's a sweet loveable giant lug. We love him but he won't be winning any intelligence contests! :dogdance:

Yeah, my dog is a goober too. We just shake our heads and move on. He's too small to get into a trash can, though!

YUM that does sound good! I love eating there. We have not done it in a long while...I guess I should change that! Tomorrow lunch will be turkey on oat nut bread (yum, I love oat nut bread) and then dinner will be herb crusted flank steak...another yum...but I don't have taters in the house so I won't be able to have mashed taters with it. I guess I can rustle up somethin' else.

Monday I will be running to practice with the boys...maybe Tuesday we can fit a Chipotle run in! **now that I am craving it**
