hi there all you lovely hags!
once again I have dropped off the face of the planet. Why oh why can't I make more time to sit on my butt and chat? Its so worthwhile an experience!
Anyway. So you are all getting ready for your trip to paradise. I must say that I envy you all. I hope you have a wonderful time and tell me all about it when you get back. In the meantime, how is life treating ya? Mine is ok. It is super freaking cold here and I am anxiously awaiting the outcome of my grad school applications. I've got another month to wait though.
Hope to chat with you all soon!

wow it has been awhile. Must..update....siggy..once in a while so people don't see how lame I am

Oooo, good idea! It's Shannon's fault!

Have you been talking to my DH?

Hey Guys This is my first time on this thread but I just read a few posts and sounds like my kind of place. :cool1: Well not the dieting thing. I was skinny for years them menopause set in, now I am fat, and don't give a darn.

Welcome granny!!!! Don't let these unwashed wankers scare ya away!

Hey i'm new here too !! this group is very welcoming and fun

That's how it starts... All "welcome" and "we're a great bunch of people" and then WHAM!!! Your de-pantsed, drinking from a pineapple, and wondering why there's a hag with a q-tip chasing you around. Let the good times roll!!!:rotfl:

Hi hags! I'm up at the butt-crack of dawn, even though I don't have to work today. DH woke me up!! :furious: But I'm gonna go back to bed here in a few minutes. I am not over my cold yet, so I plan on sleeping a lot today.

Don't you hate buying cold medicine? i do. It seems so expensive. But then when I do get a cold and don't have any in the house, I have to kick my own ****. Gotta have my NyQuil and Day Quil!
I will call back again today, Shan-hag! It is stinkin' COLD!!! :cold:

Hope you're feeling better!! (or so hopped up on NyQuil that you don't even know you're sick!) Did the folks at The Melting Pot heckle you and call you names for forgetting your vacation? ;)

You guys have a date for next year already?
Definetly need to get your DS his own computer. Tell DH he needs it for school. :rolleyes1

We worked it all out today. Come tax return time, DH is getting new computer, and DS is getting DH's old one. Then I won't have to keep arm wrestling DS for the computer! (and cursing the people who invented Neopets!!!!)

I have to go up to campus to yell at the Registars since they still haven't cleared me for getting my diploma in a couple weeks since today is the only day I'll have time to.

Hope your yelling was productive Melissa!!!

Smackdown didn't go too well...
Apparently since my last name is at the end of the Alphabet they won't look at any of my records until 2nd week of Feb. since that is how their schedule works. Excuse me...I'm not a happy camper at the moment.

Answered that question! That really stinks! Hope they get everything straightened out ASAP! And just think, in a mere few weeks you'll be the 'ole "ball & chain" like a few of us scraggly hags are!

Ok - I realize that I can be completely moronic and childish, maybe sometimes I get a bug up my butt. Let's say it's Bonnie's flea. However, sometimes you just have to have fun with the DIS and why can't people just have fun back?

There is a thread entitled - "Cat Owners: Do you bathe your cat?" on the CB. Yep, I believe that those of you who know me know exactly what I posted. "No I don't because I hate getting all that fur on my tongue and the hair balls are murder". Ok - hello I was kidding. Seriously, I was in a mood and it made me laugh. I got nothing. Nothing - not even a courtesy guffaw. Geez - isn't anyone fun on the DIS anymore?

:lmao: I thought it was funny Squiddy! And I haven't had a drink since yesterday. And.....

HAPPY

Hey Cheryl! I've missed you. Are you going to be able to come up and meet us for a few days? Rob is going to be hiding under the bed hoping for a chance to see you.

:rotfl:

OK, Shannon....here it is. For real.

:woohoo: Thanks Bon! Can't wait!!!

Helllllooooooo!!!!!!! :cool2:

I'm baaaaaaack!!!!!!

Welcome back Lisa!! How was it??

:cool1: I see a lot of MIA peeps who decided to show themselves again!

A great big shout out to Jonesy, Lisa and Cheryl! Long time, no speak! :surfweb:

Well, my zazzle order has shipped and my super terrific hag gifts are on their way too! I also got a couple more shirts today, so now I need to get packing! What is everyone taking for our DTD/Raglan night?

It won't be long now!!!!!! :cheer2:

Hi T! What did you end up getting on your shirts?

Shannon! That is a great photo in your siggy! I love that look:thumbsup2

If I could, I would. Would love to meet up with everyone. Do you live in Framingham now? I lived in Watertown and Waltham, very close to Framingham for a long time.
I'm moving there in March/April. I'm going to start looking for a place after I get back from the wedding. This Worcester to Boston commute everyday stinks so I really can't wait until I move. I would have moved closer to Boston but Shaun (my fiance) still works in Worcester so we have to be at a half way point.

I hope they do too. Yup...2 weeks 3 days & I'm a married woman. This time in 2 weeks my plane will be leaving the runway. :)

Thanks Cheryl! That's my "Nice try buddy!" look. My boys (DH included) are quiiite familiar with it!;)

Anything you can do to ease your commute, DO it! DH has been commuting into DC for 7 years, and I really think it's eating away at his happiness. Not kidding at all either! We only live 20 miles from DC, but it takes 1.5 to 2 hours each way.

Quick question about your wedding-- how are you getting all your stuff down there? Are you shipping it in advance, or bringing it on the plane with you? I imagine that will be quite an undertaking, either way you go!

Good morning all! :hippie:

The long weekend was too short. :sad2:

I was actually within 2 posts of 5,000 with the last incident and it knocked me clear down to 750. I was in danger of losing my DIS veteran status! :rotfl: Then there were people like LBelle who went from 14,000 to around 5,000.

Can you believe that was almost a year ago that we lost that dearly departed thread? April, 2007 <insert the sound of Taps playing here>

 You guys lost too many posts. I hate when the Dis does that.
Bonnie, remember the nothing thread?

Helllllooooooo!!!!!!! :cool2:

I'm baaaaaaack!!!!!!

hello

Everyone is afraid of getting points:rolleyes:

Points are good for everyone. ;)

Melissa that's so exciting you're only 2 weeks away!

Shannon does your DH drive to work?
I take the train and it takes 1.5 hours but if I had to drive in the traffic everyday, I'd go crazy.

Too many tales of ribaldry (and other fun stuff) got a thread closed.

-- Rob

Actually that is putting it mildly. Not only did we get the thread closed. We actually got two huge threads totally deleted so we lost all the post counts and had to go way back to square one. You should have changed to Veteran at 500 posts so it is weird that you are still Mouseketeer.

Helllllooooooo!!!!!!! :cool2:

I'm baaaaaaack!!!!!!

Umm, who are you again? Have we met? :confused3

I got my zazzle chatter shirt yesterday. You are going to be really pleased. They are nice shirts

That's cuz you aren't invited to the next meet. :rolleyes1

Rob you are always the epitome of style and good taste.

I really wanted to attend the meet, but I am secretly afraid of Bonnie.

Awww Cheryl, I'm sorry. Bonnie scares me too. I would have saved you from her. ;)

Good morning all! :hippie:

The long weekend was too short. :sad2:

Morning Muffy! You are right the weekends do fly by. I'd like to vote for a 3 day workweek. Are there any presidential candidates out there that are running on that platform? Now, that's a person I would vote for!

Morning chatters! Shannon - I'm ignoring you and your bowling nonsense.

Well to ease my commute, I leave everymorning at 5:30 so it isn't too bad.
I couldn't imagine commuting to DC, Boston is bad enough for me.

For my wedding, I shipped my dress & crinoline to my mother. She lives in St. Augustine so she will be able to have it steamed before the wedding and will bring it down to Disney. She also has our champagne glasses that she will bring down. We are carrying on Shaun's Tux in a Garment Bag and everything else will be brought in our luggage.

We get the flowers the day of the event from Disney Floral so I don't have to worry about that.

Good morning all! :hippie:

The long weekend was too short. :sad2:

Good morning! I completely agree.

Actually I think it has something to do with the fact I got a tag when I only had like 100 posts. Oh well.

Cool, it's nice there and will certainly make the commute better. I did the NH to Boston commute for two years. Hated every minute of it!!

BTW, we also had a Fairytale wedding at the YC, when we lived in Boston. It was so much fun! That was over 14 years ago, we were one of the first to have one, things have changed a lot since then!
I drove down so I could take all my important stuff with me. My gown went on the plane with my MIL. lol

Are all you Hags sneaking a peak at this wedding??? I want pictures!

:lmao: I'll see taht to believe it!

HAHAH! Yeah, I guess you know me better than that by now!

Ooooo very nice chickie! :thumbsup2

Thank you!!

:thumbsup2 Bonnie,
I love your new specs!! Very chic

Thanks, Cheryl! Hey, how did you get that adaorable avvie??? I LOVE it!

Howdy, Minty! Nice to see you Good luck with your grad school appies!

Hope you're feeling better!! (or so hopped up on NyQuil that you don't even know you're sick!) Did the folks at The Melting Pot heckle you and call you names for forgetting your vacation? ;)

I am feeling better, thanks! No, I did not get heckled because a) I waited until the next day to make a new reservation, so a different person answered, and b) I did not cancel the original reservation yet, we are still booked for both dates. Any chance to avoid looking like a big dork, I'm gonna utilize it! :rotfl:

My DH has only been doing it for not quite two years. It makes him miserable! :guilty: That's one reason I don't dare leave my current job. I live only 7 minutes away!
Good morning all! :hippie:

Hi Muffy! How's work today? Yelled at anyone lately? ;)

I got my zazzle chatter shirt yesterday. You are going to be really pleased. They are nice shirts

Oooo, good to know! Can't wait till mine arrive, I ordered 3, which I don't even need!

That's cuz you aren't invited to the next meet. :rolleyes1

Fine! I'm having my OWN meet!

Wow! Unheard of!

:lmao: It takes more to scare me than Bonnie! I mean I did meet you:eek: :scared1:

Now THAT's scary! ;)

Trisha, my DH has renamed "pulled pork". He now calls it "beef jerky". :rotfl:

Um, excuse me, but I am offended by both of these names. HELLO - family friendly website here. Gosh, I feel so objectified now. :rolleyes1
