guess what this weekend is ladies? OCTOBERFEST! I can't wait to get me a beer and some sausage and all the trimmings! Its gonna be great. My mouth waters at the very thought.

Hi friends!!!!! It looks like things will be slowing down here for the next couple of days so I hope to catch some of you freaks on MSN! I've missed chatting with everyone.

School is going well...we're going on a field trip tomorrow PLUS it's Friday! Grad classes are also going well! I have been sickly with a bad cold but kept on plugging along. I knew it was a matter of time since all of my kids have crusted noses and have been hacking all over me.

Jay...I'm so glad you and HEBAT are home!!!! I can't wait to chat with you!!!

Hello, Chatters! At the library again, on my lunch break. It's a short time left though, since I first went to the grocery store for a couple supplies for my art project, and then I feasted at Subway.

I feel even worse today than yesterday. But I didn't call in sick. I should have though. Oh well, the day is nearly over. Yesterday I did go home two hours early though, so I'm grateful for that!

It is so fantastic to see my long lost pals, T and Jay posting again! I have missed you freaks. And who knows when I will next be on MSN! I shore do miss chatting with you ladies though. T, how did the field trip go? Where did you guys go?

Steph, I really miss you, lady! I hope things are going well with you. Maybe you can get your girls a second computer for Christmas so you will be able to grace us with your company again!

hope everyone is having a fab day. I went to this cafe because they were advertising live jazz, so I went. OMG I haven't heard anything this terrible since I was listening to a child's beginning piano lesson. This woman was terrible. It was only her and a keyboard and she was playing standards out of beginning standards book 1 I have no doubt. Not to mention the scowl on her face the whole time. And she kept messing up! Man, if I was just starting out I would not want to perform my beginner's chords in front of a cafe audience of strangers. I wonder if she was being paid? I mean there are thousands of talented artists in this city and she gets the job? WTH?

Hi Chatters! I'm back at the library! Heather's books were sadly overdue, and she was really hankerin' for some new ones. That child is a book freak and fancies herself another Rory Gilmore.

We just finished grocery shopping and spent over $400!! That'll teach me to wait until we are out of EVERYTHING before I get my **** back to the store. I really hate grocery shopping.

Tomorrow I am taking Ainslee to a birthday party for one of my students from last year. Her mom is always trying to get me to go do something (as friends, like go to lunch, or hang out at her house or whatever). I really like her, and we click well, but I'm such a hermit that I never do. So tomorrow, I'm actually gonna hang out with her! Even if I did have to wait for her child's birthday party to get my **** motivated.

Next weekend is gonna be a busy one. Mt. Vernon is having a Revolutionary war reinactment of some sort that Brent wants us to go to, plus I want to see the new museum there. Then also, there is this big fat craft festival that I went to last year and LOVED! I can't wait to go again.

I do try to go out and do stuff once in a while. But I am pretty much a hermit too. I don't know anyone in Chicago friend wise and I have lived here for 3 years. How pathetic is that? I doesn't seem like that when you live with someone and hang out with them all the time. Although that probably isn't healthy. Tomorrow I am forcing myself to go to this brunch thing sponsored by a group designed to help people make friends in da windy city. I am scared to death because I hate first meetings. But I really hope it will be good for me. Maybe I'll find a new pal.

Hey there Whitney! You came back-we didn't scare you off. Yippee! Let me tell you more about me. I'm Mindy, 26, no kids (I'm the baby of this group) and I'm not married although I live with my DBF. But hopefully we'll be married soon. I think I'm wearing him down at last! Its only taken 5.5 years so far. Glad to see another midwesterner in our midst. I live in a suburb of CHicago called Oak Park-birthplace of Hemminway and Frank Lloyd Wright's Prarie School of architecture!

In 32 days I will be 40 . I am in the middle of a divorce (was married for over 14 years) but have a kind, smart and beautiful 7 yo daughter (that's her in my avatar).

I'm a SAHM but might as well get a job at DD's school since I am there all of the time doing various volunteer stuff. I do tons of photography as a hobby, mostly of my daughter and her friends and animals. I'm thinking of taking a leap and trying my hand at it professionally after the divorce is final.

Mindy, we love Chicago (my sister was born in Evanston). DD has been wanting to go back ever since Night at the Museum came out- I'm trying to plan something for October or November.

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday! I'm off to pick up O at a bd party.
