Ok, those of you from the BL thread will know my back isn't ready to start running yet, but I'm going to commit to walking the 5kms for my first ever virtual run(walk)- yay!

As you can see I have already added the clippie to my signature!! I have been reading and reading and reading this thread and the c25k thread, I am on W1D3. This won't be my first 5k, but my first one in a while so I am really looking forward to seeing where I am! Please add me to the 5k list, and thanks for organizing!!

So excited you're going to join in! It's totally okay for you to walk or walk/run! There's no sweeping here. When I did the last virtual 5K, I stuck to a 1 minute run/1 minute walk schedule and it worked well for me. There were a few times that I had to skip the run interval and just walk, but overall I was pleased with how I did. I haven't decided how I'm going to do it for this next one.

And look folks! We have our own supplier of Guinness now!

I'm in for the 5k! I signed up for a local race next Sunday. I've only been running again for about 2 months so I'm excited to see how I'll do. Thanks for setting this up!

So excited you're going to join in! It's totally okay for you to walk or walk/run! There's no sweeping here. When I did the last virtual 5K, I stuck to a 1 minute run/1 minute walk schedule and it worked well for me. There were a few times that I had to skip the run interval and just walk, but overall I was pleased with how I did. I haven't decided how I'm going to do it for this next one.

Hey Carissa I'll drink an extra "half 'un" just for you (would make it a pint but I'm trying to get fit and healthy you know). Would you like it to be an extra cold draught one with a wee shamrock on the top? Your wish is my command in these matters

Is that what you guys call a half pint? Neat! Would they laugh at me if I asked for an extra cold draught in Irish pub?

Only a half pint of guinness is a "half un" (and mainly in southern Irish pubs).
There's actually a version of extra cold guinness but traditional (read older than me) say its not as goodIf you like room temp stout it's probably not!
We Irish never laugh at anyone-especially when they're spending money
Mind you it's only 1.5 degrees today so you might want your stout heated
If you ever make it Ireland you will have to visit the guinness storehouse in Dublin-free samples
