Ok blast from the past. I was cleaning out the hallway linen closet acouple of months ago and found my Fox and the Hound record (where it tells the entire story and has the book with pictures on the inside of the album cover.
Who remembers those?

I had several of those albums with the story book in the cover.

Ding - turn the page

I always made my mom skip over the part in Bambi where his mother dies. I'm such a weenie.

My older sister, who I shared a bedroom with, had a ton of albums. I didn't really start getting my own until my early teens. I seem to recall Hall & Oats or Foreigner as maybe my first purchase?

"I'm a hound dog. OOOWWW!" I had that one too. "You'll know it is time to turn the page when I ring the chimes like this."

Yeah, I know I am an auditory learner.

Off to bed. Dh is giving me the stinkeye for being on the computer for so long. Little does he know.:rolleyes1

Hello lovely LOSERS. You are all such babies. My first album was The Carpenters. Used to sit leaning up against the cabinet Hi Fi.

Just like me, they long to be, close to yooouuu.

We put up three, count 'em, three strips of wallpaper this weekend. Three quarters of one small wall, or about 1/16 of the whole bathroom. No further progress expected until next weekend. Toilet paper roll still sitting on the floor.

Haha..Carpenters...I've got you all beat. Although I'm not sure this is a contest I really want to win. My first album was of a group from across the pond. You may have heard of them..the title was "Meet the Beatles." My mom took me to their first American concert at Olympia Stadium in 1964..I was 6.

The other day my DS9 was looking at something that had a sort of bullseye design on it. He was describing it to me as like on of those things that a guy turns and scratches while playing music.....(he was making motions with his finger of something going round and round in a horizontal manner.) He was describing a RECORD!!!!! OMG, that hit me like a ton of bricks..the kid has never seen VINYL!!!

Yay, wallpaper!!:scared:

ETA - OMG, I missed this the first time I read it. I used to lean up against the cabinet of the Hi Fi listening to the Beatles, too! I used to make myself cry because I loved Paul soooooo much..Yes, I was only 6....(My friends brother's from across the street were a few years older than me, that's where I got my musical influence from..)

OK y'all, I am caught up with all the posts I missed yesterday and today. Yesterday was a WINNER day, sorry wont' let that happen again, and I finally went up into the attic and just started throwing stuff out. It was actually very satisfying to let all that little crap go..ok not all of it, but I am about 1/3 of the way through it. I took two full loads of stuff to Goodwill, including two complete computers that are so bogged down with crap(more crap) that they won't function. I ended up just buying a new one...So donated them, was assured they have a bonded employee that wipes them clean, so that was good. Except I was told that they don't accept any TOYS anymore, something about liability...And the boys room was next on my list of "Operation-get rid of crap that clutters our lives and makes us miserable!!" I will have to call around to some of the thrift stores, hopefully someone will take some toys. I am NOT going to throw away perfectly good toys..I just can't do it. No time or energy for EBAY...

So anyway, that took a good part of the day. Had a BB game in there somewhere, picked up pizza for dinner.

Today, I don't know, I did nothing. I was so tired, I wonder if I am having residule effects from giving blood. I drank some water, but probably not as much as I was supposed to. Anyway, I sat in my chair and sewed patches on my DS7's cubscout uniform with CLEAR THREAD-thank you so much...

and that is it. I didn't even have energy to come up stairs to check in..so I am now.

I checked out a couple of the threads you guys posted. God, won't they just let that "taking kids out of school" thread die. Everyone is saying the exact same thing, over and over and over..not even any good fights going on...

Well, I wanted to check in and make sure y'all were behaving. Tomorrow I may attack the attic again, it was kinda fun ...I know that sounds crazy..for what it's worth, I STILL haven't completed my list from last week, the kitchen in still in disarray and I still have jeans to finish hemming...

good nite y'all, see ya tomorrow...

Hey LOSERS want a reason to have to clean your bathrooms, not to mention the rest of your house at lightning speed?
Have your septic tank back up and have both of your bathtubs & master bathroom toilet back up :headache: & have to wait for the maintince man to show up at 11pm

Thank God for that extra large empty tote in the living room & the very large blanket covering the junk in my bedroom -AKA- the catch all room.

YEA the maintinence man is here :woohoo:
I hope he can fix it soon cause I have to GO :yay: <- this is me right now

ME TOO.
This darn tank keeps over flowing & they keep coming out & snaking it. This only the 2nd time they have backed up, last one we didn't notice till floor dried up (bath mats were alittle damp) and the back up in tubs weren't that bad (they had macaroni noodles in them :confused3 )

Makes me glad we have town sewer vs. septic! I am not wishing I were you right now and other than the :yay: issue, I would say pour a nice tall adult beverage, you need it!

My first album was Puff the Magic Dragon. Peter, Paul and Mary. My mom said I played it over and over every morning before Kindergarten. It was a .45 too.

Now THAT is something you should not google on photobucket :scared1: My son (6) LOVES that song and will listen to it over & over now.

My god what time is it there?

My dad when he was growing up their house had a septic system and his dad would flush a couple yeast cakes every month and they never had a problem. Might want to try it or what is that stuff called...RidX?

12:45 am

It's fixed now :dance3:
We live in a very old base house (50's) the guy said all he had to do is push the blockage thru & now it works.
