Well I don't know if I would say that the maintence guy who came out to the house is a LOSER, an idiot or a mixture of both.
I called them out cause the vent cover leading from the dryer to the outside of the house was falling apart (the plastic crumbled in my hand) and I don't want to give those frickin skinks another way into my house. So he comes out, looks at it & says I didn't know that plastic was biodegradable
515.gif
(best smilie I could find of an idiot laughing)
So he says he's going back to the shop to try and find another vent cover............................................................................2hrs. later he shows up (Of course it's right before I have to leave to pick up #1DS from school) said he was looking for the part and couldn't find one. I personally think he went on lunch & forgot. So what's his solution? He Liquid Nails the falling apart cover to the casing :confused3 Uh hello??!!?? the darn plastic vent is falling apart, how the heck is that gonna help? :headache:
So you decide, is he a fellow LOSER, an idiot or alittle of both?

I told DH I'm going to Lowe's and getting a new cover.

well DH is freaking out. My DR called and wants to see us at 7:00 tomorrow night. I now need to peel him off the cieling.

aww...will keep you in my prayers:goodvibes

Tell your DH, now if they had said, we want you to come in to the office right now or first thing in the morning, then I might worry more....because he said tomorrow night, maybe not as bad dh thinks...

Trying to help you think positive

Dont freak out until you talk with them. We are here for you. Prayers that everything is ok. Just like Lara said PM if you need anything:hug:

Tonight I am trying the recipe I have for "Le Cellier's" Cheese Soup. and leftover chicken sandwiches. I promise not to clean up..

If it is good, you must share the recipe.

I do enjoy cooking. I may not do a lot of things well, but cooking is something that I am pretty darn good at. My mom was a short cut cook, which is fine... but I was an adult before I learned that you could make potatoes from actual potatoes. I thought they had to come from a box. Hamburger buns? Hotdog buns? Dinner rolls? We got sliced Colonial bread for everything when I was a kid. I didn't know bread came in other forms. Anyway, once I learned that there was more to cooking than opening a box, I found out I liked it. Who knew?

What is freaking him out so much is 15 years ago I had breast cancer and the DR had us come in after hours just like now. I told DH if he was not such a tweaker then he would see us during reg hours. I thank you for the toughts and prayers.
I am ok about it DH John is the tweaker.

ok help me out here, I dont bake much but I can follow directions.

The Preschool teacher called me to see if I thought DS5 was going to be in on Friday bc she forgot to tell me on Mon that I have Special Snack Day on Friday:headache: when I call him in sick.

She is trying to switch me to next week but it is with a mom that works PT as a lawyer so who knows what her schedule is like.

So she said it needs to be something DS5 and I like to make together(umm reservations;) ) but they get cookies all the time and cupcakes arent allowed, too crumby.

Now MINI muffins are allowed :confused3 and my mom says she has the mini tins. I guess I can follow the recipe. I dont really make baked goods bc DS10 doesnt like them, DH is always on a diet.

Any other ideas? The teacher was asking if DS liked chex mix, :confused3 got me. He doesnt really like fruit that doesnt yellow, he only like apples and bananas.

Errr why cant I buy something. I am VERY good at buying snacks:)

And dont anyone suggest raw cookie dough:lmao:

What about brownies?

What about brownies?

I always screw these up. They stick to the pan even if I spray it or grease it and flour it.

I am big time LOSERville in this department. This is why I call Dunkin Donuts and the supermarket bakery my friends.

Last year DS10's bday is in Sept and they tried to pull the healthy only crap (this fell apart by Nov and people just started bringing in junk) well I went out and found prepackaged apples and caramel dip, kind of like you get at McD's, it was healthy it counted and I sent in 25 of those. I almost did the drive thru but I found them at a different supermarket so I didnt look like a complete LOSER.

Rice Krispie Treats?

take small cups (like for the bathroom when you brush your teeth) Put a vanilla waffer at the bottom...layer of vanilla pudding....layer of cool whip...done (banana slice at the top if you want to)

OR, you could do like my grocery store does. Take cheese cubes (they sell the cubes in bags, so you don't even have to cut) and stick pretzel sticks in them. It's an edible toothpick and considered (sorta) healthy.

So I just got back from getting my emissions tested and my car FAILED. :headache:

Can I cry now? Now I gotta take it to my mechanic and see what the problem is. I just know this is gonna cost me a ton of money. But at least I can get my oil changed at the same time and ask them about the rattling sound coming from my back tire. My dad says I may just need new spark plugs. I hope that is what it is. Last car I had that failed the emissions test...needed almost $2000 in repairs and the car was worth maybe $500 with a full tank of gas.

Yes, you can cry!!! I cried when my old car failed and it got stuck with the big bright orange sticker! They guy told me I could only drive it 20 miles with that sticker on it....but I didn't have the money or time to put it in the shop, so I translated it as a 20 mile radius!:rotfl:

Well in my state you can get your new registration sticker without an emissions certificate. My tags expire tomorrow. Yes I procrastinated and if I get a ticket I will pay it. Though hopefully if I explain that I failed the test and had to get my car repaired and have not received my new tags it will be ok. If not...then I will burst into tears.

Rice Krispie Treats?

Too involved, too messy and DS isnt crazy about them

take small cups (like for the bathroom when you brush your teeth) Put a vanilla waffer at the bottom...layer of vanilla pudding....layer of cool whip...done (banana slice at the top if you want to)

This is interesting and also seems kind of Winnerish. Now will DS eat something like this. My problem and I probably shouldnt care is with my like I make this cool thing and it is my kid who says "no thank" or doesnt eat it.

OR, you could do like my grocery store does. Take cheese cubes (they sell the cubes in bags, so you don't even have to cut) and stick pretzel sticks in them. It's an edible toothpick and considered (sorta) healthy.

This one doesnt have to be healthly but this is a good possibly.

Teacher just called I have until next Wed:woohoo:

Thanks everyone.

Having just paid $1.600 in car repairs I can totally empathize...it's a bad week for cars on this thread

I would cry if I got pulled over. Cops hate to see someone cry. It might get you off the hook or put in jail cause they think you are crazy.:lmao: :lmao:

Confession time again...the one and only time I got pulled over I used my.....um....ah.....um.....ah......assets to get me out of the ticket. Popped two extra buttons and sat up straight. :rolleyes1
