THE LIBERAL THREAD #3- No Debate Please

For any of you that missed Keith Olbermann last night, or don't watch his show, he had a very interesting special report last night regarding McCain and his ties to those that had a hand in the Enron meltdown and the current problem of oil speculators that are helping to drive up oil prices. No text of the report has been posted but here is a link to the video:

I'm thinking of putting this in it's own thread but I don't know if I want to deal with the McCain supporters comments on how it's all untrue, MSNBC is biased, Obama/Clinton/Gore/Santa Claus did something similar so that makes this okay, etc.

Stick and stones! They can't reach you through your computer. There are those who still don't know what you know. Start the thread. Share the information. People will learn. Even those with their 'but, but your guy did it first crapola' have to read it to respond.;)

Some of are still here to watch your back. :thumbsup2 :cool1:

:) Thanks! I just get so frustrated with it all, and sometimes it just doesn't seem worth the energy, you know? No matter what I or anyone else post, the usual suspects always nay-say it. I have to remember that many may lurk, and could possible change their minds, or at least make someone think a bit about the issue.

BTW, did anyone here view the piece, and if so, what did you think?

Hey, guys!

Was just wondering, what's your take on Obama and his campaign logo?

Personally, I couldn't give a flying sausage - it's not the label, rather it's all about the content.

I'd call it bold face naivety. When they think about a war for oil, it's to take oil for us all to share, not to drive up the price for fun and profit. They simply cannot get their minds to wrap around the possibility that the Bush administration could be so dishonest to start a war for personal gain and not share the wealth with the rest of their fellow countrymen, instead of hoarding it for themselves and their Saudi friends.

How 'socialist' of them...

I don't really care what a candidate's logo is. McCain can make one that looks like he's on the quarter for all it matters.

Just popping into say that Obama has a comfortable 5 point lead over McCain:

Gallup said:
National voter preferences are holding steady, with 47% of registered voters favoring Barack Obama and 42% backing John McCain in Gallup Poll Daily tracking from June 28-30.

I'll be interested to see what happens when they actually start debating and stand next to each other on a stage.

I for one can not WAIT for the debates. McCain is going to look like such a blabbering mess against Obama. The man (MCain) just can not speak IMO. The only thing that I've seen him do in his speeches is take digs at Obama.

Bush will attend opening ceremonies of Olympics

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Bush will attend the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Beijing, the White House said Thursday. The announcement quashed any talk of a presidential boycott over China's violent crackdown after anti-government riots and protests in Tibet.

Translated: Bush isn't going to run the risk of offending the forced abortions/slave labor Chinese who've made his rich corporate buddies even richer. Heaven forbid.

Latest polls put Obama up one point at 48% and McCain unchanged at 42%.

It's a bit early to get enthusiastic about the poll numbers, it's a long way yet to November and a lot can happen. It's encouraging no doubt, better 6 points up than down. But poll numbers should be taken with a shaker full of salt at this point.

The Iraqis shot Bush/McCain out of the saddle.

Geez and the oil companies just signed new leases.

Oh my, my, my .......... what's a Republican to do.

Good Lord! 4,000+ American troops dead, 300+ coalition troops killed, 30,000+ wounded Americans, and hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis and American oil interests might end up walking away from the entire deal empty handed? I hope that at least the Bush Administration gets a thank you card from a very appreciative Iran for all of our troubles...out of everyone, they seemingly end up the big winners in the entire scenario.

I don't think it is unreasonable in their part to start asking, "When will you be leaving?"
