We haven't even started on your party's nominee yet.

Now I could really go for that when the time comes. That one should be way more fun.Oh, go away, John.We haven't even started on your party's nominee yet.

When will some of you Obama supporters accept that not everyone is going to like him as much as you do? If I'm misreading some of these posts I apologize but they come off sounding like some of you are determined to turn everyone against Hillary and that just isn't possible IMO. We all have our viewpoints and our own way of interpreting things and opinions will vary even when it comes to Obama.
I will also vote for him when push comes to shove but not with the enthusiasm I see from some. I don't believe that that will change.
If it was the old McCain it would be harder, but the new Brokeback with GW version is going to be less difficult.
Yeah, John. What's up with that, eh?I bet that he means the one that virtually none of the Conservative talking heads like. You know the guy that they slammed and tore down for so long?Oh you mean the guy who was against waterboarding before he was kinda, sorta for it? That guy?Yeah, John. What's up with that, eh?

I don't think that we need a line personally. We are fortunate to have two outstanding candidates right now and whoever wins, wins. I firmly believe that either candidate can win the election handily and the ONLY thing that can hurt the Democratic party are the party members themselves.

It's hard because I can't discount what this man has done in service to my country, and what he suffered because of it. However, the fact that he would go back on his clear, reasoned position on torture really makes me sad.
Again - and I seem to be pointing this out on several threads today- the difference is that Obama's plan offers everyone the opportunity to have coverage, while Hillary's forces it on everyone. But the real difference is that his plan is achievable in today's political environment. Hers simply isn't.
And that is why many see Obamas NOT working. Like Social Security, it's All or nothing.

I agree. You know what is scary though is that he and his campaign felt that a flip flop on this topic was worth the support it would attract for him. I just don't want to think about how many people in this country are pro-torture. That's sad.
Isn't it amazing how fast the righties here decided not to hate him and to show him a little lovin'? Talk about a flip flop!
Rush, Ann, and the gang will no doubt follow suit shortly and pretend they were for him all along.![]()

And that will accomplish what exactly? He would theoretically end up helping the Democratic nominee if he did that.I read somewhere the other day that RUSH REFUSES AND WILL CONTINUE to refuse that McCain is the GOP Candidate!

The argument I continue to hear in support of our using torture is: "They're beheading people! They're using mentally ******** women as suicide bombers!"
Yes, that's all true, they are doing those things. But how is that a reason for us to use torture?
Or there's this argument: "Our military used waterboarding with our own soldiers! It can't be torture!"
Wouldn't that be teaching them how to survive torture if it's used on them?
He'll change his tune when his advertising sponsors get gun shy about possible diminished listenership and they start to leave. I suspect he'll suddenly develop a brown nose in no time flat.![]()
