I'll check back in a little but.

ROTFLMBO!!!:p

Yes, I check out certain butts for certain days. I was wearing my yellow spandex workout outfit this morning, so of course that called for a "little butt."

When I wear my hootchie-cootchie come hither, little black number, I like the J LO butt........

When I'm mad at DD, I wear the big butt and tell her BF that this is what he has to look forward to in 20 years!!

:p OMG!!!! You are too funny Pam!!!!

ok, before I forget......

Emily quote of the day.......

(said during and intense examination of the tooth fairy.....)

"Mama when she takes my tooth out from under my pillow.....will she flip me off my bed?"

:teeth:

Pam, you are hilarious! :teeth:

Jennifer, love the Emily quote of the day! That made me ROFL!! :teeth:

Jennifer,
Tell Emily that it will only happen [knocking Emily out of bed] if the Tooth Fairy has checked out her Big Butt for the night........;)

When I'm mad at DD, I wear the big butt and tell her BF that this is what he has to look forward to in 20 years!!

I have actually done that - her poor BF turned green and red and got visibly upset. DD was yelling, "No it won't, I plan on exercising and not eating junk food...."

Ok, sure - you just keep believing those fairy tales, honey!!

Pam

Pam!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Jennifer...loved the Emily quote of the day!!!! I fessed up about "Santa" to both kids last week. Of course Caitlin had been pacifying Mom for a looong time I'm sure (I DO tend to hang onto the magic a little tightly sometimes:rolleyes: ) Poor David was a litltle taken aback though...he had "heard things" at school but wouldn't believe it. I did not want himmade fun of though...boys can me meaner than girls sometimes! ANyway....so a couple of days after I told him about Santa, David loses a tooth!!! Oh poor ME!!! He put it under his pillow!!! Now what's a Mom to do? I went with it! At bedtime he looked at me and asked "Are you the tooth fairy too Mom?" Sigh......why do they have to grow up? I answered yes, thinking he would be sad again...I WAS!!! Instead he whipped that tooth out from under his pillow and said "COOL....can I have 20.00?????" So much for that!!:p

Love it Pam! :p

Jennifer and Jodie

I love the "kid" stories and the things they say. Don't kids just add so much to our lives (yes Betty, even when we are ready to lock them in a closet LOL).

DGS and DGD were so anxious to be at their new house last night (Mom was staying there to do stuff), that DS took over a portable TV, sleeping bags and pillow. They all went to help Mom, then ordered an pizza and camped out for the night. :D

Aren't kids wonderful? Chris came in from snowblowing and I prepared eggs, sausage, orange juice, hot chocolate and toast for him. Allison wandered downstairs around 10 and wanted cereal. We talked about getting out the decorations and while I was upstairs changing those two little angels(at least that is what they are now, I am sure they want something) were in the basement pulling out all the boxes. I have around 22 boxes. (No comments please, I happen to love Christmas) I walked downstairs and they had almost gotten all of them out. They told me that they didn't want me to hurt my back. (I had back surgery 6 years ago and pulling out those boxes usually bothers my back for a few days) What Darlings!!!! Next thing I know they have brought the 9 foot tree upstairs and they are putting it together (this has been their job for many years) I stayed downstairs and starting unpacking the decorations. The tree is up and ready for Steve to put the llights on when he gets home Friday night. Have I mentioned that my DH is the BEST TREE LIGHT PUTTER ON in the whole wide world. Anyway, I still have half the boxes to go through and haven't found ornaments or the lights for the tree yet.

Jennifer, I just love Emily and her quotes. Give her a big hug for me. Do it when she least expects it.

Pam, I just love your way. Just met the guy that is taking Allison to Winter Formal yesterday and will have to remember that line if I really want to scare away the BFs.

Jodie, you are doing fine bringing up your two and destroying all their childhood fantasies. My only advice to you is to tell them that the only real magic is found at WDW. Well, that and the love in their hearts that should be shared with everyone.

Marilyn, I would just love to see you in that green tiara. Love the story about your grands. You have raised one amazing DS who has raised two great kids. Of course you deserve all the credit. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I know that Allison is a good kid but it is so frustrating letting them make their own mistakes.

Need to find some lunch around here and go back to the basement.

Ya know...when you're feelin down and ya just can't quite shake the blues, it's so wonderful when a friend steps in and says juuuust the right thing to perk you up again...... :( :teeth:

Hee hee....I DID like the other part of your statement Betty....about finding the magic at WDW!!! Funny thing is I seem to remember using just that as an example to them!!!! I told them that Santa WAS real at one time...reminded them about St. Nicholas. I also said that the magic is still there for them, but now it is in their hearts to share with others, as St. Nick did originally long long ago. We do something fun inour neighborhood called "elfing". Right about now we usually start it by putting a paper elf on 8 neighbors doors with a little poem (what else?;) ) about spreading the Holiday spirit to 8 of your friends...and it has to be secret!!!! We usually put a lunch bag full of treats on the doorstep too. The kids LOVE doing this!!! i drive past the house of the "victim" and turn off the headlights. They sneak up, ring the doorbell and run!!! What fun!!! You would be amazed how fast this spreads around mu neighborhood and how much joy it brings!!! i reminded them of this too....and that this is magic. Also related a feew thing I find magical about Disney World...and how we can spread that too!!! But most of all I told them that the "magic" between family and friends is the best of all....and they are very lucky to have tons of that!!!! So hopefully it won't be too bad of a Christmas for them....I remember the first one after I found out....vividly. Disney should help, ya think?;) :p :p

When my two were finally aware of Santa, we also told them that as long as you believe in the spirit of giving/sharing that Santa will always be alive. Our Santa always brought 3 gifts representing the the gifts that the Three Kings broght for baby Jesus. We still do this and try to make them realized that our belief in Jesus and everything he stands for is the same as the Christmas Spirit. Then we remind them that it is called CHRIST mas for a reason. OK, Sermon has ended.

Jodie you gave a wonderful explanation to your two little ones. I didn't mean to make you feel worse. I apologize. I just remember that ickey feeling when my two found out. I felt like I had destroyed their lives, but believe me once they accept what is really going on they will experience Christmas in a much different way knowing that it is real people that love them and not a white hair, white beard, old man in a red suit that comes around just once a year that loves them the most. I never liked the way that Santa got all the credit for Christmas gifts thus the way that we did Santa with 3 gifts.

So this poem thing in your neighborhood sounds interesting. We do one at Halloween. If you don't mind, can you share the Christmas Poem with us, so your southern tradition can be started in the Yankee States?

Not a "sermom" Betty....just very wise words. Mind if I borrow your tradition? I am feeling "icky"...probably worse than they are! I just feel like my "babies" have taken another step away from me. I know they HAVE to...but it still feels icky. You didn't make me feel worse...I knew the intent of your words. No worries.
It is interesting to watch them put it all together in their minds...and knowing it is us that has been showering all of that magic on them for years does seem to be hitting homw in a good way. The huge Christmas lists are not so huge this year. And they are searching for ways to find that "magic" again....greatt ime to steer them in the right direction!

Here's the poem: Happy to have it spread to you "Yankees"!!:p

You have been elfed!!

This happy litle Christmas elf has visited you today
To wish you and your family a wonderful holiday!
The "Christmas Spirit" of the neighborhood has come to wish youwell,
With wishes for love, peace and happiness to make your hearts swell!
You must display this elf on your door so all can spy,
That you have already been sprinkled with "magic" by this happy little guy!
Then fill (however many) bags with goodies like the ones given to you,
ring someone's bell and leave a bag and make them happy too!!

Merry Christmas!!!!!

I usually print off a picture of an elf and write the poem on the picture. Enjoy!!!!

Quick question before I'm off the be bazaared!!!

I've had a couple of requests from yayas to share the yaya addresses I have. I suspect a little chrismas card action in the works. If you DO NOT want your address shared....pm me and I will not share it.

If I don't have your addess and you WANT me to share it....go ahead and send it to me and I will add it to the list.

ps....those of you that sent me a check, but aren't on the ornament list...I didn't keep your addresses from your letters, so If you want to be included, you'll have to pm them to me.

WOW!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
I feel like one of those little kids from a foreign country who had poor eyesight and the missionaries came and gave him a pair of glasses! I got cable internet today - what a huge difference!

The great part is that it's about 500X faster AND I can now have everyone's signatures and avatars turned on! So - I am no longer clueless!:Pinkbounc

My car is back from the garage - it was the spark plugs - cost $108.00 plus a tow to the garage to determine that!

DD and I pulled the Christmas decorations down from the attic toay and hope to have everything up and bedecked and sparkly by this weekend.

And - it's Survivor night!:bounce:
Pam

Oh - I would like to have all the YaYas addresses, too - for cards, if that's ok with you all! Please let me (or Jennifer) know.

Pam

OMG! Pam! Thank you! I missed Survivor last week when I was sick and completely forgot that today is Thursday. If you hadn't reminded me, I would be going through Survivor withdrawal by tomorrow!

Ladies (Sherry and Marilyn) I believe you promised pictures....Bonnie taps her foot impatiently..... I'm waiting!

Well, DH comes home tonight so I suppose tomorrow I will actually have to cook dinner...sigh...wish he would tick me off so I could do another no dinner strike....;)

Jodie, are you sure that is not just a Virginia tradition? We didn't do that when I lived in the South. I like your elfing idea, I might do that at work. Do you have that picture of the elf on your computer?

JODIE!!! did you sneeze on the monitor again????? That double postitis is going around again!

Bonnie,
Survivor wasn't on last week due to Thanksgiving. Although there was a recap episode on last Wednesday.

The previews for tonight's show look good!
Pam

Now I ask you...why is it that I get blamed for so many things around here??!?!?:p NO....I did NOT sneeze on the monitor!!! Hee hee! I don't have the elf picture stored Bonnie....i usually go to one of those sites where you can print off coloring pages for kids and get an elf pic there.

Well....SNOW DAY AGAIN TOMORROW!!!!! The kids have had an absolute BALL today!!!! Girl Scout Christmas party is cancelled for tomorrow night so all of a sudden I have TIME on my hands...imagine that!!!:p
