He just left her there!! If I had turned the light off from the other switch I never would have seen her and she would have been there all night!!! I did laugh after I got her in bed! My husband is such a dork!!!!

Great catch up Jeannie!!!! I see you're not a skimmer!!!

Jennifer it really sounds as though our husbands are twins that have been separated. Allison used to drop just wherever she was and fall asleep. Emily is going to keep you young.

Pam my daughter got up around 10:15-10:30. I couldn't believe my eyes and it was her idea to go to the basement to pull out the Christmas boxes for me. Sometimes I just want to hug her until she screams for me to let go. Then there are the other times.

Well, I am going to bed now and probably will not be back for a few days. I pick DH up at the airport around 5:30 and we need to get lights on a 9 foot Christmas tree along with ornaments. This way when the freshmen come over on Saturday at 7:30 they have a tree to stand by for their pictures. Chris just asked if he could have seniors here after the formal. The basement has Christmas boxes spread all over and the air hockey table and pool table have Christmas decorations piled on them. Guess I know who will busting butt trying to get two floors of a house cleaned up by Saturday night. Don't know what gets into kids who think that decorating is done in 1 hour. Of course he is taking his SATs for the second time on Saturday and won't be here and DD has hair appointment in the middle of the day. Don't trust DH to go with her for hair and don't trust him to decorate. His idea would be to put everything in a corner in a pile. Ha! Ha!

Well, got to run.

MEN!(no offense Jay :teeth: )
Hmmm.... oddly enough, I hear this a lot around here. :p Seems as tho my fellow males aren't doing me any favors.

Pardon me.... I'm still cleaning confetti out of my hair. Sheesh... just wait till DW sees the mess. Then again the dog & cats are having fun playing in the pile of it on the floor. :p

Okay, I can't remember if I posted this here yesterday, but if I did, I'm sure you'll enjoy it a 2nd time around. :p Besides, I like this line. :teeth: It's today's A Christmas Story line:
"Oh no! It was the classic mother/BB gun block, 'You'll shoot your eye out.' That deadly phrase uttered many times before by hundreds of mothers was not surrmountable by any means known to kid-dom!"

Hi ya guys:wave:

How are we all today???

Been behaving ourselves while the others are away???:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hey Nutsy! I know I've been behaving myself...I don't know about these other yahoos.

I love how the lodge is 24/7 thanks to our international YaYas-really you should recruit some more Aussies and we can all sing "Waltzing Mathilde" whilst swilling Tia Maria's...

Sorry but this Yank is off to bed...

Good Morning Carol! How has your run of the Christmas Markets been going...how exhausting ! Really we need a European Dis Meet..I keep pestering some of my friends abroad to do a Paris Disney thing...they're not all that into Disney...can you imagine!! Well, I wonder, what Nancy is doing at this moment...perhaps a midnight dip in the ol' pool.;)

Have good days!!!

Oh and I never check in in the morning so GOOD MORNING GALS and Jay!!

Hey there lilloo:wave:

I know we need more Aussies on here. I thought I had one lined up but she never joined........

Hmm.......might have to advertise for some recruits hey??:)

G'night & sweet dreams................;)

Good morning! The early morning watch is on duty. Hope y'all are happily sleeping in your warm, comfy beds.

Hi you late nighters! I'm glad you've joined us Heather, Nancy will be SO pleased!

I wonder what she's doing all the time Jeannie! I hope her cold has gone.

I haven't had time to read through everything so I hope I haven't missed anything realy important. We're going away this weekend, like as soon as I've got my act together, so I haven't time. We're going up north to where I used to live, that's going home to me! I'm so excited about seeing all my friends again - and my favourite Christmas market! That's in Dortmund where I lived 20 years ago. Not a pretty city but it does have 6 BIG breweries!

So see you all on Sunday, take good care of yourselves!!!

I haven't gotten sick, but I know it's coming. Every few years I get some nasty cold or chest cold right before Christmas. I'm wondering if I'll get one this year.

I'll be extra miserable if I do. I'm spending two weels with DH's family. Cats in the house and chain smoking already make things tough on my allergies and asthma. So I'm crossing my fingers that I don't get sick and I hope everyone here gets well soon....:D

On a good note, I finally got to go Christmas shopping yesterday. Mom came and took me shopping, so I finally got some shopping done. It's a relief. (FYI....Heather is nearly blind and a Stuck-at-home wife)

As I was wrapping gifts and listening to my Charlie Brown's Christmas soundtrack, I finally started getting a little holiday cheer. For some reason, it has been in short supply for me this year.

Morning! :)

TGIF everyone!! :bounce:
Don't have time to catch up now, just wanted to say hi! The baby I sit for should be here soon and I need to get the boys off to school soon.

Tonight my kids have a Christmas banquet at church, so DH & I are hoping to get there shopping done while they are gone. I have about 4 1/2 WITHOUT KIDS today!! :bounce: :bounce:

Sounds like we need to send Heather some extra christmas cheer this week!!!

Jennifer tosses some Extra Christmasy Cheer PD at Heather...ooppps sorry about getting it in your eyes!

Carol, I'll keep you posted on any important happenings in the lodge while you're gone. Have a wonderful time!!!

Morning Sherry! Wow that's a good chunk of time!! Have fun shopping!

Jennifer tosses some Extra Christmasy Cheer PD at Heather...ooppps sorry about getting it in your eyes!

LOL! Don't worry....they don't work well anyway.

Thanks.....:D

Good morning ya'll!!!

I am wishing great weekends to all of those traveling....and TONS of Christmas cheer pixie dust is coming your way Heather!!!! Um...2 weeks with the in laws would make it a little hard for me to get the Christmas spirit too!!!!

Morning Jennifer!!!

Morning Carol, Jeannie and Jay!!! Hi Sherry....enjoy that "child free" time!!!!

Betty...have a great weekend!!

Hope I didin't miss anybody!!

Still have confetti in your hair huh Jay??? Hee hee.....well it's Friday !!!! Bet there will be more!!!:p

Quiet here this morning. Caitlin slept over with a friend (gotta take FULL advantage of these snow days!!:p ). David is still sleeping....he played in the snow until way after dark last night...came in as frozen as a popsicle and said to me, "Mom, the only thing more fun that a snow day is Disney World!!!" Well that says it all!!:p Gottta run to the store early today....must have fed at tleast 10 kids here yesterday....one I didn't even know!!! HA HA....she just showed up in my kitchen with the rest of the pack of girls!!!! I cranked out grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup and hot chocolate until they were all fed....wish I had a nickel for every time I asked, "Do your mothers all know where you are???" :p :p Life is sometimes VERY good!!!
Going down for coffee now...talk to you guys later. Everybody have GREAT days!!!!

Howdy Dowdy, everybody!!

Heather,
You do need some serious PD, don't you?:( But it sounds as though you're starting to feel the Christmas cheer!

Awwww, Carol gets to go away - take me, too, please!!:Pinkbounc

Betty,
You better get lots of photos of the kids in their formal finery and post them here! For some reason our HS doesn't have their Snow Ball until January.

Jeannie,
Never thought about the sheep remark! Oops! :o

You said:
Umm, the sheep comment, almost missed that ...an outsider might be really skeeved out by the possible innuendos...not me. I wanna be your Seven Veals partner in Kim's absence...don't be afraid of my youthful exuberance; I promise I won't embarrass you and will bestow the proper honor and solemnity that the ceremony dictates.

Well - if you're going to be proper and serious, you are definitely OUT! You must dance with gleeful abandon and laugh and howl at the moon while doing the Exotic Dance Of The Seven Veals! (Although the holwing part may have attracted the attention of that pack of wild dogs...... )

Jennifer,
You should have asked your husband this morning where your daughter was, because you couldn't find her in her bedroom! Wouldn't that freak him out??!!

Sherry,
Date night on a Friday! WooHoo!!

Jay,
I finally am able to see what my bother looks like! Hubba, Hubba!!

Auriel,
I am working on a recruitment ad for you. (You decide if you should be scared or not!)

I'm not sure what's wrong with me. I didn't put up my tree, since I'll be gone in a week. I guess it's gonna be a little sad this Holiday. They closed the maintenance hangar in ATL where my Dad worked. He put in for a transfer to Orlando to work as a flightline mechanic. He finds out next week if he got it. He's about 6 years from retirement, so it's a pain to have to sell a house that's nearly paid for and leave the town you've lived in for over 30 years. It could be much worse and I know that. It will be sad having my parents living so far away. My sister and brother are going, so Atlanta will feel lonely. I wouldn't say that we're sad as a family, but we're feeling pretty blah this holiday.

We have made an effort to focus on the positive though....:D Yes, it could've been worse and I will likely have close family in Orlando. Dad asked me with a straightface, if I thought I might come down to visit occasionally. LOL! Occasionally? Hee hee....:D

I'm pretty sure my cheer will heighten in WV. I'll be in the rolling hills.....hopefully covered in snow. Chris' folks have already planned some outings for us, so I should be fine.....:D

Thanks for listening and Happy Friday.....:D

Hello???!!!! Anyone home???? I'mmmm baccckkk!!!

I'm sorry you're so blue Olena...many {{{HUGS}}} to you this season.

Well...I see it is now a ski lodge...haven't had time to read yet...will try to catch up later.

Bye for now.

Heather....I know exactly how you are feeling. We are very close to my dh's family. His dad has been out of work for over a year, had surgery on his shoulder, my bil is getting a divorce and the wife just took my only nephew on that side to live in florida last week. :(

Like you, no one is really sad....but it is hard to muster the christmas spirit sometimes.

Lots more {{{{hugs}}}} and I'm jealous of your trip! We loved the mountain "hills" in WV and V when we were there a few years ago. Have a wonderful time! :)

On that note....I have to pack up my little computer and take it to the church to make diagrams of where all the bazaar tables are. See you all later this afternoon.

Welcome home, Debbie! We missed you. (You can give us our souvenirs after you've unpacked - we don't want to rush you or anything!!)

Pam

(ba-ba-boom, swish, swish...ba-ba-boom, swish, swish)
Deb walks in the ski lodge...ample hips swaying under the lime green grass skirt, watermelon bra gracing the mounds before her, knit stocking cap pulled snuggly down over her ears...
(Deb leans over, grabs Pam around the neck, and lets out a YaaaaHooo)

Hey baby...I heard ya was a missin' me...well...

(dropping Pam like a hot potato, Deb reaches over, takes the shade off the floor lamp, gazes longing into the eyes of the mounted deer head, begins to karoke)

"You lookin' for trouble??? Well, you came to the right place!"

as Deb continues to croon so woefully to the deer, other wild life begin to bombard the lodge trying to end their horrendous suffering

"...Cause I'm eeeevvvilll!!! AH hahahaha!!!..."

(Deb ends her blues debut only to look around to find Pam staring back at her...Pam's hair is standing up on end and is stark white)
