Well, I feel like a rotten Ya Ya. I just got finished reading some of the pages that I had missed and saw that Jennifer did get my ornament. Glad you liked it. I couldn't believe that I found that Hallmark Green Fairy. It just screamed Tag Fairy. Glad the girls really liked their gifts. I couldn't leave the petite Ya Ya's out of the exchange.

OK, cookies are done, and I am off to take a shower and get ready to head to my mom's. We always open gifts w/ her and my brother on C. Eve, and the boys are sooo excited to get to open some gifts tonight!

DH is sick...again!! Third time in 6 weeks. I'm glad he can stay home for awhile and rest and get better.
I think playing Santa to all those kids last wek is the cause of this one (the little germ-spreaders ).

House is clean, errands are done, gifts are all wrapped.....just have the cake to frost and I'm ready!!
and NO cooking tonight! Our CE tradition is deli
But no one is here
DH is sleeping, DS went back to his apartment because he left MY camera there and he has to feed GF's kitty.
DD is...where else, the gym!!

So, off to read some newspapers. I think I'm only 6 or 7 days behind.

Nancy, so sorry to hear about DH. It sucks feeling bad at this time of year.

I still have the sniffles but do not feel really bad. It will probably hit me later. I still have all the gifts to wrap. I am thinking that I am going to stuff all of Chris's and Allison's stuff in their canvas Christmas bags unwrapped. I just don't feel like wrapping all their stuff and they really don't care if they are wrapped or not. They just want to find out what is in the bags.

We are suppose to get some wintery mix tonight. It should start with rain and then move on to sleet and turn to snow after midnight. I really hate sleet/freezing rain. Just hope the plane from Florida is on time.

Jodie, I would leave tonight also and try to miss that freezing rain. I am so jealous of your Christmas destination. I will be there in spirit. Have a safe and memorable trip.

Oh Karen, the memories of finding a misplaced gift in February are keeping me laughing. I really do hope that you find all those hidden gifts.

DH has called and their flight is delayed at least 30 minutes. I am not going to worry about it yet because he has to catch a connecting flight in Charlotte. I am still wrapping gifts. I am lucky that my family is not getting together until Saturday so their gifts can wait.

Chris's GF had her wisdom teeth pulled today so she is not in top shape. He just left to take her yet another Christmas gift. He made her a bunny dressed like a Princess at Build a Bear. When he comes home I think that the kids and I will head out and drive around looking at Christmas lights.

Wisdom teeth DD is supposed to get her's pulled but she hasn't made any arrangements. There never seems to be a good time! That was very sweet of your DS, Betty, to take her a cutey present like that. My DD would love it!!

DD made it home. DS is still gone....traffic must be bad. As soon as he arrives our Chrsitmas Eve festivities wil begin!!

Im feeling absolutely miserable tonight. So much so that I actually called the doctor something I NEVER do at night especially not Christmas Eve. He told me that there is basically nothing more I can do for my stomach than what's being done and basically to tough it out until ten and take some Tigan for it. I just sent dh out for Tums to see if that will help at all. What a way to spend Christmas Eve. Sigh......Im so sick of being sick.

Nancy, have I told you how much I have enjoyed your clipart lately? It has really made my day. Hope everyone is home soon so you can celebrate.

Steve just called and he is in Charlotte. This really sucks!!!!! Just doesn't seem like Christmas Eve without him here. Last year was such a downer and this year I felt like everything has been put on me for everything because he has been out of town. I have sat down and cried at least twice today. I just realized that with all the running around that I forgot to put my Christmas wreaths on my parent's graves. I will have to do that tomorrow before we go to Steve's sister's house. And don't even get me started about his 5 sisters. I got a call this morning to inform me that they want me to bring something different tomorrow. Like I had time. His sisters are the most selfish, rude, and hurtful people that I know. They learned so well from his mom. OK, now my rant is over.

All I really want to do tomorrow is stay at home and be with Steve and my kids. I can care less about being with the whole clan. I have felt this way since my parents have died but every Christmas we must be with the Feller's. Oh Calgon take me away!!! Well, I am done with wrapping and am ready to sit down and relax. I am making prime rib for a late lunch before we hit the Feller Celebration.

Everyone here have a great holiday and tell everyone that you love that you love them and give them a hug. You never know what the future will bring. OK, I am tearry eyed again. Miss my mom, dad and brothers, but love the memories that I have.

Sorry to bring the thread down. I am OK really. I just need to go through this to get on with my celebrating.

(((((((Hugs))))))))) Betty. I wish I could be there to cheer you up and give you my hug in person. It's so hard around this time of the year when you are missing loved ones. I've been where you are several times over the last couple of weeks. It's also hard going to the other family's house. It's not only stressing on the nerves but also reminds us that there is one place we cant be and that's with our own family...the ones that have passed on.

We also have to go to the ILs tomorrow and though I love them I really dont want to go. I want to stay home in my own little house. We are doing a family thing on Saturday morning so Im not even sure why we are doing their house tomorrow since we will be the only kids of theirs in town.

You are NOT bringing the thread down kiddo. You are hurting right now and please let us be there for you. You mean the world to us.

We are family and that's what we're for.
I made it a rule long ago....we stay home on Christmas day. We made the mistake of not doing that once...and that was it. Home we are.
I miss my parents too But I know they are watching over.

Everyone is home now (just the 4 of us), we've had our deli dinner Christin found a christmas movie to watch, much to her brother's chagrin ...LOL....things are looking like old times

So, he's picked the game...wish me luck. I'm the most intellilectually challengened of this group!

Thanks for the kind words Karen. Steve's mom has also passed on so he really wants to be there for his dad. I understand completely but I just don't like dealing with his sisters. Long story short but they always have a cousin gift swap but for some reason my kids were left out of it this year. Yes, they are the oldest but they should have been asked to see if they wanted to participate. Last year we did not participate because Steve had lost his job and we just didn't have the money to do it. They also have kicked out Steve's brother's two boys because they do not come home until after Christmas and the sister's do not want to be bothered with mailing gifts. So basically, the sister's kids get the gifts and the brother's kids just sit there. Of course this type of shinanigans has been going on for years. Steve's mom was the worst at showing her favortism. I guess I am just getting far too old to put up with their sh*t. Life is too short for this type of stuff and I just get tired of it after a while. I know that once Steve is home and I get to hug him that all will be better. I just really miss him.

Now on to more important stuff. Are you feeling any better? Sure hope your stomach does Ok tomorrow. Well, It's a Wonderful Life is back on. Will check in at commercial break.

Well, I was one busy yaya today and I am still not done. I made breakfast for tomorrow, cookies for santa and did laundry. Now all I have to do is clean off the clothes that are all over the couch and wrap presensts.

Betty, I am glad you are feeling better. But more ((((((hugs)))))) for you. While the kids are young, I don't mind going to the clan. I do know that there will come a time that I will though.

Karen, ROFLOL!! Yes, I am here too waiting for the darling children to go to sleep. Then I will be off to find their presents. Youngest yaya slept through church (this is a good thing), but now she is coughing.... I hope you tummy settles down. What a crappy thing to be sick!

Evening all! I just got back from my dad's. We went to church, opened presents and had tons of Chinese for dinner. My tummy hurts now because I ate so much!

Well we finally got all the presents wrapped!!! Yipppppeeeeeee. I so hate to wrap. Dh was so sweet though he got out all the presents, tape, and wrapping paper and sat down and helped me wrap.

Im feeling a little bit better. I took a nap earlier tonight and that seems to have helped a little.....that and some Tums.

Betty I hate when families pull stuff like that. It makes me nuts. We made a pact in the family not to buy for the adults. Does anyone else but us stick to this?? Noooooooooooo so we end up feeling like twits each year because one of the other SILs buys a family gift for us. We are not as well off as the rest of the family and we are trying to stick to the original pact we all made. I hope you are now all nestled in the arms of your dh and are begining to enjoy the Holiday. (((((Hugs))))))

Hi YaYa's and bothers! Will ketchup with you shortly. Nineteen people just left a little while ago, whole house is cleaned up, dishes all done, and DH is sound asleep snoring on the couch!

I am going to thank my sweet sister Beth here so I can share with all of you.

First, my christmas present....an absolutely adorable teddy bear from Pawsenclaws. Little purple ribbon bow by it's right ear, and wearing a purple sweater, and in the middle it says "Worlds Best Sister" with pink and blue hears around it.! Adorable Beth. This cuddly creature will be sitting on my headboard.

OK...now the DIScon box! Wow! Do you have an hour? I have to tell you, Apolonia, Kinga and I had a ball going through this stuff.

First, Beth bought me a t-shirt I asked her to pick up for me (she has a matching one), has Tink on it with my name under Tink! And who do you think is in there??? Well, "virtual me". With "ears" on, a lime green shirt and beige overall with Pooh on the leg! She also has a wardrobe! A white t-shirt with "Marilyn" on the front and an adorable skirt. OK, now blue silk "bloomers", and a fancy blue silk dress with a silver overlay....something tells me I wore this to the "tea" along with the little tiara! Beth, you are something else!

I'm just warming up here! (Oh Nancy, "she" wore your pin) Paper plates, bowls, Mickey coasters and napkins from Prime Time! Plastic Disney cups from different parks(5 in all). A Santa hat with Mickey ears for "virtual me". Mickey soap and shampoo. 3-D glass from MGM. (Beth, sooooo cool when you look at lights!) A pin from Mickey's Verry Merry Chrstmas Party 2002. A Goofy and Donald sucker. A 100 Years of Magic Magical Moments Pin. Maps from the parks and a personal copy of her schedule. A Drink Around The World "Survivor" pin. A DIScon 2002 lanyard, a Mickey 100 Yrs. of Magic pin, and a DIScon 2002 pin. Included in the box was a triple decker tin from Starbucks with Christmas Blend Coffee, Gingerbread Pecan Biscotti and Peppermint Tea Cookies!

And for me to cherish, a picture of Beth and Dave (love those antlers and ears Dave...definately "you" ) and a handwritten note.

So, not only because of everything you sent me (which is absolutely wonderful ), I just want to tell you Beth, God blessed me the day you came into my life. You bring me so much joy and happiness. If you were my blood sister I could not love you more. My life is so enriched having you in it. Just thinking of you during the day brings a smile to my face. I dream about the day we can actually meet. I keep thinking what that will be like. I always wanted a sister to love, confide in and to listen to my whining. I have found her in you. I love you Beth. Thank you for being "you".
